My Canada Trips Reviews 

Normally we DIY our holidays but this was the trip of a lifetime and far too complex so we asked MCT to put together an itinerary based on our wishes and their suggestions. The 16 day plan was excellent and exciting from the start and we just made a couple of minor tweaks.

From there, pretty well everything was perfect with a couple of minor hiccups. The hotel choices were so good, the majority with the bonus of superb views, all the excursions - some we would never have been aware of without our advisor's suggestion - worked perfectly and the flights ( including two internal ones ) all went well. Our advisor ( I'm not going to name them ) had clearly listened to everything and put together the ultimate package ( and at £7,000 less for almost the same thing with another tour company).

So why only 4 stars ? Because, rather like buying a car, ( the salesman is your best friend who cannot do enough but once you've driven off they forget your existence ) our previously superb advisor just vanished. In the 4 months leading up to the holiday - immediately after paying the full balance - several attempts were made to contact them for clarification of small points but no responses were ever received. That was not helpful. Following return to the UK contact was attempted to give huge praise and thanks for the itinerary and planning and to make two very small suggestions that may help future clients. No response has ever been received. Again, not helpful.

But overall the 2027 planned trip to a different part of Canada will be booked with MCT, no doubt about that at all.

Trip booked was the City of New Orleans 12 day trip, spending time in Chicago, Memphis and New Orleans.

My family (my wife, 2 adult children age 19 and 21) thoroughly enjoyed our holiday booked through My Canada Trips. Everything went very smoothly and all component parts of the trip were fantastic.

Flights from Edinburgh to Chicago out and New Orleans to Chicago to Edinburgh back were perfect, the transfer back through O'Hare to catch our final flight back to Edinburgh was as smooth a transfer as we have had. Credit for giving us the right amount of time to make this comfortably.

Hotels in the 3 cities were absolutely wonderful. In every hotel there were 2 double beds provided for my adult children and the hotels were of excellent quality. Also credit for ensuring we had no addtional taxes to pay at any of these hotels (commonplace in Chicago which operates similarly to NYC). Could not have asked for more.

The train journeys from Chicago to Memphis (sleeper) and then later from Memphis to New Orleans were all organised perfectly and both journeys went like clockwork.

All in all the trip was organised perfectly at a competetive price for the high standard of the hotels we stayed in. Great job, would recommend and use again.

Such a well organised holiday. Great hotels, transfers, day trips and 2 days on the Rocky Mountaineer.

This was undoubtedly the holiday of a lifetime.
From the start the agents worked to put together the best possible package to make it special.
Contacting the agents was straightforward and all the arrangements were clear and ran perfectly.
They use personal experience of the places to guide you. For us it worked out well to fly from Vancouver to Anchorage and take the ship to Vancouver. This worked out cheaper with a cabin facing the shore. It was attention to detail like this which made the difference.
Every aspect of the trip was amazing. Banf, Jasper, The Rockymountaineer train and Silverseas cruise.
The tour guides were great and informative and professional at adapting to the conditions.
The RockyMountaineer staff are very efficient and keen to make sure it's a wonderful experience.
Silverseas cruise on Silver Nova was outstanding. If I could give them 11 out of 10nI would. Nothing is too much trouble. It's very well staffed and the service and food are excellent. All the restaurants are great in their own way. We couldn't get into the Silver Note restaurant as it was fully booked for the whole voyage by the time we booked but we don't feel we missed out.
It's expensive and I don't think I'll be able to afford it again but if I could I definitely would. I can't recommend all of it highly enough and I would definitely use Mycanadatrips again if I were to go again.

Fabulous holiday. Everything worked like clockwork. A very professional service. My Canada Trips made sure we had everything we needed before the holiday,ringing several times to check . All the excursions ran to plan, with us being collected on time and at the allocated place. The hotels were all well placed. The Rocky Mountaineer was amazing,as was the Alaskan cruise with Cunard. I have no hesitation in recommending My Canada Trips. Our experience was fantastic

Nova Scotia, PEI, Cape Breton & Newfoundland are fantastic, some of the admin re the holiday was a bit hit and miss but all in all we enjoyed it.

Well planned and organised trip to the west coast of Canada incorporating the Rockies, the Rocky Mountaineer and an Alaskan Cruise.
We enjoyed a very full and comprehensive itinerary which ran like clockwork with all pickups and connections arriving on time.
A real head on adventure which we both really enjoyed and will remember for ever.

Hi - just returned from 14 days in Nova Scotia / Prince Edward Island on Sunday past. I would rate the experience a 4.5 but as that isn't possible I shall give it a 5.
Flights to and from Halifax were excellent, on time and great staff. We paid a bit extra to have seats at the emergency exit giving us an abundance of leg-room.
We collected our car from Avis on Day 3 in Halifax and again staff were brilliant and we had a great Hyunda Kona with just 600kms on the clock at collection. My phone linked seamlessly to the car systems giving me Sat. Nav. for the next two weeks so great car and great driving experience.
1. First two nights in Sutton Place in Halifax were great - a corner suite on the 19th floor close to town. Halifax had changed quite a lot in ten years so the two days there was the right amount of time.
2. We then moved on to The Smuggler's Cove Inn at Lunenburg. An old Inn in keeping with the town, and what a wonderful town and worthy of a two day stay, room was clean and had all of the amenities we would have expected. A fabulous artizan bakery / deli on the ground floor which we used both mornings. We had our only shower of rain in Lunenburg - but what a lot of fabulous eateries in the town.
3. Next two nights were in Carlisle House in Annapolis Royal. Great small town with a great history and was a must for us to go back there. Last time we stayed in the Hillsdale House Inn and had great memories of a fabulous breakfast there with home made muffins. Unfortunately the establishment had changed hands since our last visit with the new owner having also taken over Carlisle House. Carlisle House is a satelite of the Hillsdale Inn and poorly finished. We had to make two visits before getting entry. The room we were given had no toiletries / no TV / no teas coffee making facilities and was a big disappointment. We asked for toiletries and were left a bar of soap! The room felt it had been unoccupied for a long time with poorly fitting curtains cobwebs etc. For breakfast we had to go to the Hillsdale Inn and it was an awful breakfast. The "hot" breakfast was set down on the table within 10 seconds of sitting down and particularly on the first morning was awful. We spoke to other travelers who were staying at the Queen Anne Inn almost next door and it sounded great. I'd gladly have paid a bit extra to have stayed somewhere else. The town and surrounding area were great though and probably had our best meal of the holiday in Restaurant Compose there.
4. We then moved on to the Tattingstone Inn at Wolfville for one night. Great hotel, fabulous room and welcome and to our surprise a super table-service breakfast was included for all guests. Could have stayed longer!
5. Long drive to the Great George Hotel in Charlottetown. Great hospitality / great breakfast and a great place to spend three days. The hotel provided their own short history tour of the surrounding area which was great. Did the Anne of Green Gables tour etc and were very impressed.
6. Final three nights were at the Inverary Resort where on our first night the resort was hosting Proms night for Baddeck school leavers. The resort has been around a long time and rooms are a little bit tired but they are in a great location, were clean and well equipped and were as we expected and Baddeck is a great place to spend three days in the sun so no complaints at all. Fabulous restaurants in Baddeck!

Overall the hospitality of our Canadian hosts was excellent and other than Carlisle House would highly recommend the tour and the excellent organisation of My Canada Trips I would also recommend.

Just returned from a trip arranged by Gavin of My Canada Trips. The itinerary was lengthy (three weeks) and involved flights from Heathrow, ride on Rocky Mountaineer and cruise to Alaska with several excursions at Banff, Jasper and Vancouver and on the cruise. We were obviously keen for everything to go smoothly and thanks to Gavin’s attention to detail the trip couldn’t have been better. All of the staff we encountered provided exceptional service and we learned enjoyed and saw such wonderful things. Thanks Gavin for arranging this trip of a lifetime for us.

What a holiday! My Canada Trips took all the hassle out of booking what would have been a very complex operation and it worked pretty well without a hitch! Any hitches were tiny and didn't impact on the running of the holiday and when I mentioned them after our return, the response was great. I'd definitely use them again.

The people at Canada trips were very efficient, friendly and helpful throughout what was a fantastic holiday. Very well put together. All went logistically well.

The suggested itinerary worked very well, with one exception due to airline flight changes. The accommodation, travel and excursions were all good, and the scenery was amazing. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this or a simular trip.

Just returned from fly drive in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island organised by my Canada trips which exceeded our expectations. Vicki came up with a trip which not only provided us with a variety of places to explore and scenery but included quality places to stay. Despite our satellite navigation not working after first few days details provided before hand allowed us to get to each destination. Great trip not only allowed us to gain more about the history of the area but also meet some great people. From our experience would definitely book our next trip with them

Just back from a 17 day Canadian holiday with this company. Everything well planned and organised. Went from Toronto to Victoria by plane, train and ferry. Itinerary was well planned. Canadian people very friendly.
Only drawback was a 27 hour journey back from Victoria via Vancouver and Heathrow to Edinburgh. 5 hour waits at both airports. We should have seen if there were flights to Glasgow instead. We would definitely recommend this company. They dealt with all our questions professionally and were very reassuring.

We planned a 3week tour of Canada. The level of knowledge and assistance were delivered beyond expectations and resulted in a truly fantastic holiday

It was great. All the arrangements you made - flights, hotel, rail journeys, tours - worked perfectly and ma - made for a fascinating ten days.
Just one suggestion - you might give more advice on eg transfers from/to rail stations, airports and meeting points. We had to do more work than we expected on finding our way around..

We've just returned from a 15-day, tailor-made trip to Eastern Canada, organised via myCanada Trips, and would definitely recommend them. The agent took on board our suggestions and came up with a great itinerary for us, including both accommodation and travel (this included a combination of flights, trains and car hire). She also adjusted things to accommodate last minute changes to our circumstances. Aside from one bad experience (the "luxury" Fairmont Richelieu), we were v happy with the recommended accommodation, despite relatively short notice when booking.
