Went to the Doncaster East garage. Asked for two things. To assess a major problem with my engine and for a tyre rotation and check of a leaking tyre...as part of the tyre care plan. They quoted $5900 for an engine replacement...done off-site I think. I rung around and got it done for $2800 elsewhere. That is quite a big difference. - also, they didn't bother with the tyres. ...even though I told them that the Doncaster Shoppingtown branch failed to rotate and check my tyres last time I was down there. They did $1500+ 'work' on my engine...which changed nothing and no doubt lead to the need for the new engine. There was a noise in my engine...the Shoppingtown mycar did the $1500+, but it didn't fix the noise. These experiences have been about as bad as it gets.

The extended hours ( 2pm closing ) on a Saturday gives me time to do errands during the morning and then come back to collect the car. Laurie was great in being able to fit two of my cars into his busy schedule on a Saturday!

Lovely experience. Unfortunately had picked up a screw in my tyre. I took it to My Car Doncaster East without a booking and they were more than helpful. Very courteous and advised that I would have the car back in 45min. True to their word, my car was ready in 45min. Thanks again
