Overcharged. Sales over service
I made an error with the booking by inadvertently selecting a 10K log book service instead of a 100K log book service. The manager, Nick, called me after I dropped the car off to say that there would be an additional charge as spark plugs need to be replaced on a 100K service. I agreed and I thought all was good. I received a call from the manager a couple of hours later to say that the car actually needed a 120K logbook service because the 100K had been signed off in the logbook and that there would be an additional charge again. He also said that my tyres and front brakes needed replacing. I asked for a quote on the brakes which was $50 higher than the online quote that I had already received from a separate enquiry that I had made with MyCar.
I was now angry that he was trying to upsell me on everything he could and said no to all of his suggestions and just do a 100K service. After I picked the car up that afternoon, I was reviewing the invoice and he had notes saying the customer refused a 120K service, new tyres and brakes.
So he ended up doing a basic service and charging me for a 100K logbook service. On top of that, a 100K service for a 2016 Honda Jazz does not include the spark plug change that he charged me extra for. The manager either lied to me or doesn't know what he's talking about. He also overcharged me more than $300.
I thought I could trust a large brand like MyCar but have since spoken to people who have had a similar experience with them going the hard upsell and being shifty on pricing.

The timing the service took was very good. Would prefer to be notified to collect my car, by phone. I did not see the text message until much later. I'm 80 years old with painful legs.
