Seems to have new owners/workers
Seems to have new owners/workers. Booked in for a basic service, however My Car did a log book service without calling me;
In addition, I asked My car to check the engine as it felt like it was missing a beat even now and then, and to tighten the handbrake.
On picking up the car, for the service, to tighten the handbrake, and to look into the engine issue (which they said I would to leave the car with them longer, to try to figure out what the problem was) they charged me $515.
* In addition they presented me with a list of things which they said would need doing on the car; totalling $2,898.00
Always a reliable quality service.
Everything done at a good price on the same day
They kept me informed and completed all the extra unexpected but required work on the day of service saving me having to take more time off work to bring my vehicle back a 2nd time.
Work always carried out promptly

Continuing run with mice eating lines…
Continuing run with mice eating lines in the engine bay. The guys were very flexible with fixing the car as we had to return it 3 times at short notice.

CX5 Diesel 40K log book service
I can only assume that the main parts of the service were done according to the log book (since I am not a mechanic).
However, I have 3 issues to make note of:
1. The service cost over $100 more than a Mazda Dealer service
2. The car was not given a complimentary wash/vacuum like it would have from a Mazda dealer
3. The "Oil Service Due" light will not go out on the dash (probably not reset by mycar mechanic - although the date/mileage for the next service was reset)
I am not likely to use any mycar Tyre and Auto again.

Service above and beyond!
We had a vehicle that needed a lot of work. The team at Queanbeyan provided comprehensive advice and a fair quote. They then went beyond and above to source the parts needed to fix the issues. The car after to the great work by the Queanbeyan team has never driven better. Great work guys! Thank you 👍
100,000 Service
I dropped my car off at 8:10 am. I received a phone call about 12:30 asking if I wanted any of the extras done while the car was in for service. These were things like new windscreen wipers, tyres, brake pads. I told them that I would get to it, but the 100,000 service was already costing me $1600 odd dollars so everything else was out of my financial reach at the moment. I also called Subaru and asked them for a quote which was less than the amount I was being charged at MyCar by about $50. The gentleman that I spoke to told me that he thought it might be ready between 3 & 4. I left it until 4:45 to head to the shop to pick up my car thinking that they closed at 5, but they didnt close until 5:30. When I got there I noticed that my vehicle was still on the hoist and the gentleman said that it wasnt ready yet. Because I was there and my husband had gone home, I decided to wait thinking that it would be no later than 5:30. I was wrong. 6:15 the car was ready and the gentleman told me that they didnt have time to put the fuel filter in and that I could either get a credit or I would have to bring it back and have it fitted. By this stage I was pretty angry. He told me that it is a 6 hour service to which I responded my vehicle has been here for 10 hours so I was angry that he was using this as an excuse. I said to the man I get paid $100 an hour at work, will you give me a discount because I have had to wait, and that my time was worth something. He said that unfortunately that could not be done. He did however manage to reduce the labour which in turn reduced the cost. I made an appointment to have the fuel filter replaced and I left pretty unhappy with how the day had panned out. My husband asked me to get all the old parts that they replaced and the centre gave me all of these which I was happy about. I did notice though that the replaced parts were not genuine subaru parts and I queried this with the gentleman on Monday morning when I returned to have the fuel filter replaced. Another inconvenience for me because I could not go home and enjoy the comfort of my house, I walked around queanbeyan to pass the time while the filter was being replaced. At 10:20 I received a call to say that the car was ready.
Over the weekend, my husband and I noticed there was a clunk in the car that was not there previously. It was mentioned to the man when I dropped the car off, and he said that he would look into it. When I collected the car after the fuel filter was replaced, he did say that he had taken it for a drive but could not identify the noise I was referring to, and for me to try and get it to make the noise, and then take it to them so that they could hear what was going on.
All in all with the reduction of cost, I was happy, but I was not happy that I had to wait until 6:15 before I could go home when my vehicle had already been there for 10 hours.
I was not happy that non-genuine parts were used, although this was not discussed before the job was done, I was under the impression that for a service that cost over $1600 genuine parts would be used.
I was not happy that I had to return the vehicle to have the fuel filter replace, but what choice did i have? It needed to be done.
All in all, I was disappointed with the outcome on the day, but it all worked out in the long run. I like to use My Car because of the roadside assist you get for 12 months after having your vehicle serviced, and the fact that it maintains my warranty. I get that people have good days and bad days, but a phone call at 3-4 pm would have given me the heads up and I could have made alternative arrangements. I think that by the time I went to collect the car, everyones fuses were very short at that time of the day.
I have been coming to this centre for…
I have been coming to this centre for nearly a decade and have always received great service. Yesterday, my car was booked in for a pink slip. I had less than a week earlier had the back tyre puncture repaired. In the pink slip assessment, I receive the notification that it had failed for the tyre which had just been repaired by the team days earlier. I was disappointed that it hadn’t just been replaced last week if not actually roadworthy. When I asked about this on pick up, they just said ‘I don’t know’. I feel like the $49 tyre repair should have been refunded.
Reasonable price
Reasonable price, vehicle ready when they said it would be, guy at desk pleasant and helpful.
Quick service
I had an 8:00-9:00 appointment, and the service was quick, as the guys finished by 8:25. I was glad it was short because I had to go to work by 9:00. The staff was very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this place.
On first contact
On first contact, friendly, helpful and easy to check my car in. I was contacted during the service to items needing attention while the car was still with them. Following my service I was delighted to notice the free 12 Months Roadside assist and details of their Australia-wide Guarantee, which I found comforting.
