Car broke down and they offered to help by looking at it quickly. Was told they did a compression test, the cylinder compression failed, I needed a new engine & it would cost about $8,000.
Took it to another workshop who showed me the fault code and engine which had never been inspected or had a compression test done. Fault was purely an ignition coil which was replaced for $150 plus labour.
On the plus side, they didn't charge me for looking at vehicle, but being misquoted and blatantly lied to like this means I will NEVER go back to mycar anywhere anytime.

Great staff, easy to deal with and great communication. Will come back for services and other issues.

They were professional, kept me informed during the whole process and called me to explain when they had to add something extra to the service.

They are always responsive to phone calls, they always call before doing the work. The work is explained what needs to be done V what can wait. Very honest about cost.

Diagnosis was incorrect and close to $1500 more expensive than what was required

Good communication.

I felt as if I was being over charged because I’m a woman and they explained what they ‘thought’ was the problem and that they had checked the breaks on my car because that was the concern.
I then took it to my local mechanic and he said they hadn’t even looked at the breaks because the break dust would have been touched or gone and it wasn’t at all…
Everything felt off and I trusted my gut and instead of paying $1400 for what they quoted me I actually paid $120 from my mechanic.

took my car at 8.30am at 5.20pm i call asking to pick up my car and was told i couldnt pick it up because they ordered the wrong part so they had to keep it over night which i was confused why i wasnt told and was only told after i rang.. the next day i was told i pick it up which i did and immediately i knew something was wrong with the car i called the store and was told it "was the new parts settling in and if if its still making the same noise to come back NEXT WEEK" later that day i tried to drive and it was making such a diabolical noise i called my car road side assit who towed it to a different location.. where i found out the wheel wasn't put on correctly and he had to go over all his work (work i personally didnt think was doing alot more than needed).. i have been going to ringwood mycar for years but the last time i went it was a new guy and now i dont like

1. Seat covers were not used. White seat had marks on it that needed to be cleaned.
2. Tyre pressures were not set to 42PSI. The pressures were 34, 37, 36, 36. So being a Tesla, it warned me of low tyre pressures.

Bit disappointed really. 2 of my rims were scratched - likely due to the replacement of valves as both marks were in the same spot on both wheels - right next to valve.

Steering wheel is now slightly off centre post wheel alignment.

And little things like no tyre cleaner so the excess tyre sealant was still present making it look like a sloppy half finished job.

The honest appraisal for work needing to be done at a fair price

I was given a time and date but when I showed up they told me they couldn’t accommodate me for that day. I had to return the next day for a service. The staff were great and honest but it seems like a fault with the booking system.

I returned for a service and some recommended additional work after a previous visit with another vehicle. On the earlier occasion I had put my car in for brake pad replacement which the Dealer had insisted was necessary and was proposing to do. After inspecting (and to my great surprise) mycar advised me that the work was not required and made no charge. The subsequent service and work were carried out promptly and efficiently. The charges for what was done were reasonable. I am a very satisfied customer.
