It is an interesting piece of equipment but for people like me who need educating in its usage a list of common causes/questions or simple guidance to clear a problem in the way it should be used may be beneficial as not all of us are electricians. For instance I have battery storage and it should have priority but at the same time I want solar to keep the water hot and each of us have different ideas on balancing this out, so typical guidance would be good without having to call out the expensive electrician every time. I have had to resort to the internet to see comments by different users to solve the issues I have.

The manufacturer needs to take into account systems that have large DC battery storage, I’m still struggling to find a way to persuade the unit to filter off the excess into the hot water storage AFTER the batteries are full - and so far its trial and error. Di I need more CT’s? Where to place them to inform eddie of what’s going on? If only this was plug and play. But it isn’t. It’s really really difficult.

We were advised to go with the one company for all our appliances. This made a lot of sense as the Eddi, Hub and Zappi can all talk to each other and can all be accessed through the one app. It just makes life a little bit easier. It was very easy to share this with other household members too.
