The first Eddi unit that was installed appeared faulty as it wasn’t directing any surplus energy to the immersion heater. Trying to explain the fault and getting a satisfactory response from MyEnergi was somewhat protracted and took a lot of time and effort from both me and my installer. The replacement Eddi works as described.

As this product has only just been installed, rating it is very premature, but you keep asking. It appears to be doing its job. Given that of its three predecessors, one needed a new screen within 6 months, a second lost its screen light-up capability after 13 months and the the third packed up altogether after two years, the best time to review this product is at least a couple of years into its life. If it continues faultlessly for at least two years, I will give it 5 stars for quality. I would have more confidence if it came with a 10 year warranty like Earthwise Products Limited give on their Solic 200. I've had one of these for 6 years and it has been faultless.

Unit supplied was not software updated. This delayed installation and was a problem as installers had to return to do upgrades.

Seems like a solid product. Works with a remote device on the power to know when to divert from exporting to water heating, that failed and was replaced. Is real time which is better that the app for the system it is connected to which updates every few minutes.

Thus far I cannot fathom if the product is doing exactly what it should be doing. Albeit, I went away and came back to lovely hot water, despite my heating system being off. However, the App data doesn’t seem clear. Time will tell when my next bill comes through.
