I chose installation and I'm very happy with the product an fitting, the only thing I would say is that once you have send your photos and your told you need extra work, your left to work this out for yourself and organise, don't get me wrong they told me what I needed and i had it done, but for someone who hasn't got a clue you would think they would offer and quote to do the job to make it a slimline installation.

Far too often errors, intelligence insufficient as power is taken from the house batterie rather than using only solar power that is not needed for the house. Very disappointing, hence only one star. The devise is not doing what it should, hence useless.

Myenergi didnt fit this charger directly but I am happy with the charger itself. There are tons of settings to play with should you need to but I have signed up to Intelligent Octopus Go so all you have to do is set the EV charger to Eco+ and let IOG do all the rest for you. That said, it has displayed some odd behaviour during the overnight charge and on 2 occasions during the past month (Since install) the car hasnt fully charged and I cant see a reason for this. Also, I have solar so the car will charge from surplus during the day and again, the car app has shown as fully charged when the car isnt. This could be because it has happened on cloudy days when the charger has tried to charge the car over several bursts and I have read elsewhere that the car themselves can stop the charge if there's been xx amount of attempts to charge it. I understand there may be a fix for this in the charger settings but I havent delved into that as not sure what im doing. I have also experienced the issue where the charger will pull power from by solar batteries so I have had to move the CT clamp to combat this. Not a major issue but it does mean your solar apps will report false readings for imported kws. All told I am happy with the quality of the charger though.

As a fast home EV charger in its own right, The Zappi 2 is a great solution that has served us almost flawlessly for over 3 1/2 years. Add the Myenergi app, and this rises to the next level. Add solar PV, and then we can use surplus energy to charge a car for free! We enjoy the boost timer that allows us to fast charge at night while the mode remains in Eco+, essential to low cost charging. As the Myenergi ecosystem grows, I'm happy to recommend this EV charger to anyone and everyone needing to charge an EV at home! Our choice was a tethered version so we can simply unravel and go.
