I’ve dealt with this place twice both times being no good I got them to put lens in some frames I have and the prescription is peeling off my lens and I have been waiting almost a month to get my contact brand changed just to be told they aren’t going to change it everytime I deal with that Cindy lady at Burlington nc location it doesn’t end well she lies and tries to make you spend more money than needed and she doesn’t help at all
Friendly staff
Friendly staff, with extensive knowledge, willing to take time to explain findings following eye examination, can recommend.
The company is for the birds
Went to my eyelab in rivercity jacksonville fl may 2024. Staff seemed friendly. They did a virtual eye visit which I thought was strange but I gave it a try. The Dr was very rude when I told him I couldn't see anything on the screen. Was then told by the lab assistant that next year I would need bi focal glasses. So I ordered my glasses them came back quick I COULDNT see anything the sales lady told me that's because I didn't ordered the bi focal glasses. So I have to pay another 120$ at this point I have now paid 435$ for my glasses. They sent then back in June 2024. They came back to the store 8n July 2024 and the lens fell out of the glasses while I was still in the store. The sales lady took them back with a attitude and said the lab cut them wrong. I called to put in a complaint and requested my money back 2 different times. The store called me told me it was a computer glitch and my request for my money back was rejected, they could offer me a single vision pair of sun glasses now remember I have to have bi focals per the Dr so why would I get a single vision sun glasses they wouldn't help me at all. I'm beyond pissed at this point and I still haven't gotten my refund. And we are now at the end of July 2024. I will never go back to the place again........
They're not too friendly with…
They're not too friendly with minorities, and they don't stand behind their warranties. The warranty covers only one repair. Go to Walmart where it's affordable and the doctors are minorities as well!
Go somewhere else!
I had a remote exam, which was new to me. But the reason for my 1 star is there are no designer frames, as advertised, most of the frames are the same manufacturer, name is "Christian" and these frames are cheap!!! Poor construction. Poor quality. I wear contact lenses 90% of the time. My frames, on both pair, are rusting. Not even 1 year has passed. Yes, RUST. From what.?.?.. the lense cleanser, rain, sweat, who knows! The screws and the frame area around the lenses, RUST. I wouldn't recommend this business for anyone. It's like self check out at Walmart. My exam (no in person eye doctor), contact lenses and 2 pair of cheaply made glasses was over $600.00. The place I went to is now closed. Out of business??
Store # 0261 Salisbury NC HIGH PRICING!
Store # 0261, Salisbury NC Was told by Maritza sales manager we would save A LOT of money. We should have been told we'd have saved a lot MORE money going to Walmart across the street. Do the math: four pairs of glasses, progressive lenses, discount frames, two prescription/exams : $1874.60 total = $468 a pair
Average USA $200 - $300

i’ve bought 3 pairs from here and the quality is pretty garbage, they look real nice but that garbage blue light lense always wears off and is terrible. apparently they changed it but this new one is just as bad.
Looks like we got got
First... Wow@Carolina. I'm in the exact same boat.
I'm in Round Rock and my glasses broke literally at the one year mark.
I'm writing this review from my driver's seat. Because I attempted to go to the Palm Valley location yesterday and my Google maps indicated they are closed on Wed/Sun. Didn't indicate permanent closure for whatever reason till I got my kiddo off school bus and got us in the car to head out. Saw permanently closed instead of business hours when i opened GPS. So then started looking to see what recourse I have and found an article that claims the rebranding makes more stores available..."This brand transition creates a larger footprint, expanding the ability to serve eyecare customers across the U.S. Compared to 167 locations for My Eyelab, the transition will allow eyewear shoppers to use 277 Stanton Optical for all their eyecare and eyewear needs..." The same article ends with "The company continues to expand its retail footprint with almost 300 corporate and franchise locations in 30 states. Ninety-four percent of all My Eyelab stores joined the Stanton Optical network. There are now 192 Stanton Optical corporate stores and 86 Stanton Optical franchise stores."
VisionMonday dotcom slashbusiness/article "now-optics-rebrands-my-eyelab-to-stanton-optical"
But 92+86is 178 not 277.
Then I'm looking for locations and what im finding is consistent with my elementary level math...
They CLOSED STORES AND PUBLISHED PROPAGANDA CREDITING THEMSELVES WITH GROWTH on the bullspit premise of customer demand. I fully believe that we got got.
I will be reaching out to BBB as the nice gentleman in the previous post suggested.
Looking at my invoice ... I never figured out how the 79 dollar promo w free exam ended up inflated to almost 1grand before the discount knocked us down to "only" 560ish.
I've stopped into the eye dept at target a time or two when no customer was present just to see whether they can help rationalize the numbers. And I've left PISSED over the fly designer frames I would have still paid less for overall.
With the sudden rebranding
It really seems that we got got in order for the company to raise the funds to settle their lawsuit without cutting into profits.
And I feel like they PURPOSELY shifted into market areas that are notoriously consumer UNFRIENDLY to limit accountability and protect their profits. An honest company wouldn't shutter on the hush and cloak in secrecy their pulling out of a rich market like the Austin Sun City area. This feels a lot like a robbery set in the old west. Bang bang giddy up cmon boys let's move em on out fore they come lookin.
I really don’t think they deserve 1…
I really don’t think they deserve 1 star….unfortunately I bought insurance on my glasses and they were of no help…apparently all locations in Austin are closed and the closest one is in Killeen, Texas….if you call the number on the store in Parmer Ln. they are of no help….they say someone 🤷🏽♀️ will get intouch with me and help but I highly doubt that….when all of their locations in Austin, Texas are closed. I regret purchasing my glasses here and much less their insurance 🤦🏽♀️ please don’t waste your time there
How to get a refund from Eyelab
Well , it seems that they're changing their name . No surprise considering how bad their reputation is . If you didn't get a refund as promised , file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau . I filed complaints with every agency I could find with no results . When I finally contacted the BBB I got a call from Eyelab within 2 days and a refund within a week ! Screw My Eyelab and Stanton Optical !
The worst in eye care
The worst in eye care. This is the lowest end eye care you could possibly find. The products are VERY poor quality and their metal frames will turn your face green. The screws and setting will corrode and your glasses won't last a year. I got 2 pair for $350, and neither pair was wearable 18 months later. The people are not well trained or knowledgeable, mostly college or high school kids looking to make a buck. They don't know what they are doing and they don't seem to care. You will NEVER, EVER be able to reach ANYONE on the phone at any time you call. I'm so sorry I wasted my time and money on this farce of a company, but please take my advice and spend a few more dollars on something worth the money. The product isn't worth $50, regardless of what you choose. You will be sorry.

The Lab sucks when they send your glasses to be mounted. The first time glasses came back completely wrong. Could not even see out of my prescription glasses. The second time they were wrong again. Each time takes two weeks. I will never use this company again. Absolutely the worst experience ever. Go elsewhere.
Bad experience. …
Jesus I wish I’d checked reviews before becoming a customer. Huge regret. Arguing with them about refunds.
No doc on site. Takes weeks to get glasses and contacts. And the contacts were completely unusable. So not sur I trust the telehealth doc routine
Angel was the bomb
Michele Callahan Is Amazing!
My experience today at Eyelab was the best that I have had at an eye doctor's visit as well as the assistance with contact/glasses options. Michele Callahan is professional while adding a personal touch making me feel comfortable with my decisions today. She is knowledgeable about all options and friendly. I will definitely continue to use EyeLab in the future as long as Michele is around to provide the best experience.

My visit to the Denton location was pleasant I ordered glasses for my husband and myself on Aug.28, 2023, in three days my husband received his glasses his prescription was more complicated then mine. I have yet to receive my glasses I was told " the glasses are in transit, the frame you pick was out of stock, we had to reorder, your lenses came in without the frame, we had to send your lenses back out and they latest they are in transit today or tomorrow" I ask for a discount due to the frames I ordered will be the display frame due to the frames being out of stock I was told we can not do that my response was I am paying for a new frame noy used plus I am waiting longer then expected for glasses I need. Please make sure they have what you order in stock and set lower expectations for the time frame. We will never return our first and last time with My Eyelab today is 10/3/23 no glasses yet
Arleene at the Hurt Tx Precinct Line Rd…
Arleene at the Hurt Tx Precinct Line Rd location is wonderful. She was very patient and helped me pick the best frames and lenses for my glasses. She worked with me using my insurance or using the discounts they offered and got me the best pricing. I was walk in for an eye exam and didnt have to wait and eye exam was virtual and i truly am very happy how my experience has been with My Eyelab
I received glasses and contacts
I received glasses and contacts and the process was smooth. All of the staff are professional and pleasant. However, Lori the Brand Manager, went above and beyond to make my shopping experience great. I would recommend this Coral Springs location to get your next glasses and/or contacts. Also, my glasses arrived within eight days, which was within the stated estimated 7 - 10 day time-frame promised.
Overall customer service and service
If I could give a negative star I would. We ordered glasses back in March 2023 and It is now 9/18/23 and we were just told that they have cancelled the order. I will never, never use this company again. Alot of promises and nothing!!
Great place!
My husband and I went to the one on I-240 and had a great experience. Victoria was very helpful! Can't thank her enough!!
