Nightmare!

Nightmare!! Don't go!!! Warning; STOP. Took prescription from one of best eye doctors in Houston to my Eye Lab in Stafford Tx an May 23, 2023. Three weeks later no call. Called customer service, they said glasses were ready, why co call, they apologized. Went to store at 9:13 am, tried glasses nothing but blurriness, told them this is unacceptable, what? Oh you have an outside prescription, so? We checked and our glasses fulfill this prescription exactly. I beg to differ, they're blurry! Well, we can't do anything about it, what? You must go back to your eye doctor to check again. My god what? Drive to doctors office, optometrist says prescription they filled is incorrect and had my try on the correct prescription and it was perfect saw clearly. They write a note to Ricardo, sales manager telling him their fulfillment of the is wrong. Drive back to my Eye Lab in Stafford Tx and they argue with me that no it's right even though on of the best eye doctors in Houston( who does surgeries) says it wrong. I tell Ricardo ( haven't been this pissed off in a long time!) that I want a full refund. He said okay finally on June 13, 2023, yet to receive refund. Take note; Do Not Go to my Eye Lab!! franchised? take it easy, you have been warned.

A place I do not want to see again !

The good: we could book an appointment on line where the time for waiting was reasonable.
End of "the good".
The bad: there is no doctor on site, or optometrist, or optician. It is all tele health. The telehealth people apparently are not in US. If you got a complicate prescription or diagnostic, go else where. There is no follow up.
The very bad: expensive glasses, bad frames, and outright shoddy workmanship. When we finally got the glasses 3 weeks later, and 2 of delay they were wrong ! 2 more weeks, wrong again. The glasses lasted for 4 months, and then one lens has fallen. We went back with the purchased warranty, but it was denied because the type of lens ( transition ) was not covered. So, it is not the fact that it was bad work, it is our fault that we bought a transition lens. Let it be a lesson to us !
Avoid, avoid, avoid.

Do NOT go to the Norman location

Do NOT go to the Norman location! I am going on over 3 months now and do not have any glasses that work for me. I have had to do 2 eye exams and both prescriptions were wrong. They never answer their phone so I have to make time to go into the store to try and take care of the issues. On the My Eyelab website it clearly states a full refund guarantee on frames and lenses BUT at this location the manager told me the owner of this location does not do any refunds for any reason and does not care that the website says they do. I am now in an escalated claim with the corporate office. And I am out a ton of money and time and still don't have any glasses!

Great Service in Hickory NC

I was so happy to see all the frames with the spring hinges for women. Where I had purchased in the past had a very limited selection. Eye Lab in Hickory NC was well stocked!!! We were greeted and served immediately upon walking in the door by a very professional and courteous staff. From the time I walked in the door, made my selection, and purchased my glass frames including filing insurance we were out in less than an hour and well satisfied. I would recommend Eye Lab of Hickory NC to anyone!!!

The worst customer experience I ever encountered! You should be ashamed of being in the health care system.

This place should not ever be in business. The most incompetent staff ever rude. The optometrist was good, however the supporting staff was incompetent and rude after I spent 1 and a half in this office the staff decided to take care of people walking in and asking questions rather than those with appointments. I will never recommend this place to anyone . I walked out without being properly attended and will never return. I will inform my insurance to drop eye lab in Gastonia NC East Franklin Blvd. They are terrible and don’t deserve to be in business. This happen Saturday May 20, 2023 from 1:30-3:45pm. My name is Yvette Rosario and if the franchise owner wants to contact me I’m more than happy to answer any questions regarding my experience there .

Slow Service!!!

My issue is the amount of time it took me to get my glasses. I provided the frames, I got my exam there. It took every bit of 3 weeks to get my glasses done, although they did give me 20% back. Three weeks is just way to long. I would not recommend them at all.

To finish review...without Cecil s help I would still be glasses less. My Eye Lab still has a funky business plan...production shop..is not good for patients..but Cecil is the MAN.

Video get examination. Call center communication..ridiculous service..You have to repeat yourself because of limited English speaking foreign..good balls..no knowledge.Glasses px is clown..like.fun house mirrors. Asked for a real optometrist..not a philippo doctor on tv 1000 s of miles away...gave me appt..They called dey of appointment and cancelled. 3 months have gone by ..no call. I reported this elderly scam company to Medicare .They took my 200.00 benefit and an extra 165.00 in cash .I now today had to drive 30 miles to Orange Park FL. .and lady tells me they now have no personal.. Optometrist in company . WHAT???.I am going to Pickett..store if I have to to save seniors from this obvious over seas owned scam company. Really video Dr.??? 904 4444541..call me with English speaking person.

I updated all my information on my last…

I updated all my information on my last visit. When I get home I noticed that they didn't updated it at all. They still have my old address and phone number, even though I updated it online before my appointment. I find out that my eyeglasses are ready for pick up using the old information on the paper they gave me. I personally think this is unprofessional and an inconvenience for me and other customers. The next time I need eyeglasses I'll be going somewhere else. I've also ordered a pair of sunglasses that has been put on delay for their reason of shipping when they both were ordered at the same time. I'm not understanding how they can be on a delay when they were ordered at the same time. I will not be coming back to this place of business for my next exam. I'm not a very happy customer.

Do NOT go to this place !! It truly is a horrible place to get eye glasses!
Spent nearly $600. With insurance Jan 2023 . It’s now May , still no glasses I can actually wear .I’ve already gone in 3/4 times Can’t use the glasses they produced.
Next step ,, take legal action , small claims court for a refund . I’ll buy glasses elsewhere . This place is a merry go round with different employees every time I’ve gone there .
I’m frustrated n angry , I feel like they stole my money !

dissapointed

The in house staff were great to work with, no issues with the exam, but the lab is horrible. Had to send 2 pair of glasses back, due to rough edges on 1 pair, and a chip in the other pair. It has been 6 weeks, and I am still waiting on 1 pair to be replaced. Doubt I use them again

I was helped by 2 wonderful ladies, whom helped me choose my 2 beautiful glasses for a real good price with such an extensive variety of frames, which could be overwhelming.They were helpful to narrow my choices to the right one for my face features. one simple step can save so much trouble yet they refuse

The people Working were nice enough but the reason I am reviewing it poorly is because you would think that they would check patients insurance beforehand to make sure that their insurance is in fact going to cover their reason for visiting. Ultimately the fault was mine for thinking my vision insurance and my health insurance were the same company. I was unaware that my employer used two different companies for vision, dental and health This is my first time ever having vision insurance let alone using it. They didn't even so much as ask which provider I had before my exam, let alone verified anything until after my eye exam. This practice screwed me I was unexpecting to have to pay only $10 not $100. I couldn't afford it, while I have insurance I live paycheck to paycheck especially with how terrible inflation's been getting and this whole messed up situation just left me wondering why it's not standard procedure to verify patients policies prior to service. I can't be the first person that has ever made this blunder. It just feels super irresponsible that this simple thing isn't already a part of standard operating procedure, I'm incredibly frustrated and angry honestly. I am mostly angry with myself for making this mistake but the mark of a good business is one that attempts to provide customers the best experience possible with clear guidelines to eliminate any possible variables that would affect their customers experience. I'm really disappointed and will never use this company ever again and Will actively try to discourage people from doing so.

If I could leave zero stars I would

If I could leave zero stars I would. They advertise 2 pairs of glasses for $95 and exam free. When you get your exam and pick out glasses they start adding things to your bill. I had 2 pairs of glasses ( like add stated) and one box of contacts that only had 6 pairs. He said “ that’s comes to a total of $720. I said the only reason I came was the ad. He made up some BS , and I was so upset before it was over. I ended up with 6 pairs of contact for $230. It’s a scam !

I used Eyelab in in 2021 (I brought in…

I used Eyelab in in 2021 (I brought in my prescription from my doctor) and the customer service was awesome and I received my glasses sooner than expected. Fast forward to 2023 and they were running a special buy 1 get 1 free including eye exam. Sounds like a great deal. I let them up sell me from bifocals to progressive and $800 later I was told 7-10 business days. I never received any updates and continued checking the website for updates and it says Delayed. One month later I finally get the glasses. The prescription was wrong and had to be sent back for remake. I asked them to go back to the bifocals. I asked 3 different times how much a refund would be. Each time my question was deflected. Going on almost 2 months and still no glasses. I asked again why and never an explanation or apology just I will check into it and call you back. I never received a call back. Again I asked about a refund for the lense difference, this time I was told to go online and look up the Corporate number to ask for a refund. Made absolutely no sense. I got so frustrated by not receiving answers and lack of consideration so I just canceled the order because the glasses would not be here before I left for vacation. Supposedly the order was canceled. I asked when my $800 would be refunded. I was told again to call Corporate. I called Corporate and the order had not been canceled at the store. They had to put me on hold to call the store for a refund approval. I am waiting for someone from Corporate to call me in 24-48 to confirm my refund. This has been a complete nightmare and will never fall for the bait & switch again.

Buyer beware. Overpriced, bad quality glasses

Buyer beware, this place is a big scam.
They overcharged me for the glasses, got the prescription wrong, and 6 months later the glasses are in terrible shape. The coating is literally falling apart.
Learned my lessos. Stay away
