Scam- taken money I need to help my son who is ill

Not sure how they got my details, I think I had to enter credit details to prove my I’d, but £40.56 deducted without my agreement.

Fortunately, my credit card company notified me of the transaction and I unsubscribed.

Be very careful!

I got charged £40.56 and 0.88. I'm guessing 88 is exchange charge. Therefore Myhelpshop must be American.
I don't know who they are. I would not ask for help from someone called Myhelpshop. They must have got my card from Howly who I clicked on mistakenly thinking they were AliExpress.
They are crooks. Must be American crooks

This company is fake. Never heard of them or has anything to do with not will I tried helping themselves to £40.56 for something I never had or used so I assumed they just scam people and rip them off. Luckily my bank is on the ball and they didn't get the money. I cancelled one payment and a few days later they tried it again. I despise these so called businesses. When you Google them they look legit. They're NOT. If they try helping themselves to my money again I might book a flight to South Africa and knock on their door

Never heard of this company til they tried to charge me £40.56, my bank declined it as suspicious and I'm glad they did. My card details must have been compromised so I cancelled it.

WARNING, if a website asks you for credit card details to 'Prove Your Age' don't do it. I did this on another website a few days before myhelpshop.com sent the bill.

Would give a minus as they scammed my account of £46.56 on the 1st of August 2025 all I can think of is that it was through a qr reader please don't trust them.

Scammers. As per other experiences noted in reviews they charge £40.56 to your credit card. They appear to be harvesting credit card details via genuine transactions

yep scammed must have got my detail from lost cards, qr code (barcode reader that frequently diverts you to something you dont want ) or stolen data from an online fake cheap clothes site
luckily bank noticed them trying to take £00 then £40.46 at 1am so i mightnot notice for several days now . never heard of them southafrican company report to action fraud uk, and in sa National Anti-Corruption Hotline: 0800 701 701 (toll free number)

Try to avoid this company. Sneak in to get your bank details & offer no noticeable service whatsoever

This company is disgusting I bought some clothes for £40.56 and every now again my help shop.con try’s and takes money out my account they first tryed £40.56 but declined, as a 15 year old I don’t have much money at the moment and they tryed again but £30.56 this time and then £20.56 they all got declined it’s like there testing how much money I have in my bank I went to my subscriptions and there was nothing so I have no idea how they got my details when I’ve never heard of them how disgusting

Redirected to this site thinking it was related to the QR code i scanned to access Wifi to print photos! Nicely done for trying to trip people up! Absolute disgrace in the way it is done. If you fall for the same thing, check the spam folder of your email so you at least have the chance to cancel the payment of £40+ that will come out a few days later

Today, 1st August, my credit card company messaged me regarding 2 transactions, both for £40.56, that they believed were fraudulent. On speaking to them, I learnt that the 2 transactions were indeed fraudulent and that the 2 frauds were attempted from the same IP address that I had booked Havant Ride taxi firm who took their fare from my credit card.
Whilst I will not accuse the taxi company of any wrongdoing until this has been investigated by the police, I will report on the facts that I have been told by my credit card company.
Anyone have similar?

Gave one star because I cant give zero stars. I downloaded an app and the payment screen opened "to confirm who I was" yeah right. Stole £50 out of my account straight off. Check your spam email and cancel whatever fake nonsense they've set up. Stick to reputable sites only!!

Total scam. I've never heard of this company but they've tried 3 times to take £40.56 from my account.
Luckily my bank was on the ball and blocked the transactions but now I need a new card and have to wait 4 - 7 days without a payment method.
As soon as you see this company's name, get hold of the fraud department at your bank.

My bank fraud contacted me.about this payment of £40.56.they tried to take it twice but my bank stopped it .and blocked my card . They checked MYHELPSHOP it's definitely a SCAM beware x

Total SCAM,

Trying to purchase tickets for Tower of London using QR code (attached to tower wall) it didn't work properly so checked bank and money not taken so purchased from ticket office. Thought no more about it until bank contracted me saying it's a scam and they tried the card number on Friday fit £0. Then today tried a payment for myhelpshop.com £40.56.

This is really sad. This con company just appearing when people are searching and signing up for other services. Taking their bank details and deducting money of their accounts. Their free 3 days trial email will sit in your junk email which obviously you won’t check and that trial period will end so they take money from your account without you knowing. Bank’s can’t do anything if they provide evidence that customer has been sent service email.

As all others! Payment taken (same) Googled the name, cxld my (false) subscription. Phoned the number. They agreed the sub showed cxld. Gave me a ref!! this may help others. Get it !! name was Jade....very polite. A call centre service only.

Scam - very clever! QR code stuck on a car charger in a place where you might expect to pay. You put in card details & email address, but instead of paying for electricity you've signed up to a " free" 3 day membership, with £40.56 taken thereafter per month. The confirmation email goes to the junk box so 3 days could elasp easily.
Nothing to do with car chargers as far as I could see - might be wrong ?
