I made a complaint to myjar as I felt the loan was unaffordable at the time of lending. Had a reply to say they could not find my loan this was their full and final response. So I have had to send my documents off to the FOS. My evidence is an email from them refusing a loan application in 2018 based on a previous loan when they were text loans but they could not find the records. Fast forward a few months and suddenly I can have a loan. But when a complaint is made they cant find any information. Now its with the FOS and they can find it. However they need to see my bank statements to see whether it was affordable um shouldn't this have been done when I applied?

Terrible customer service
Took 6 days to reply to my initial complaint, now 9 days since replying to their response and no answer. They have also blocked my account so I can't log in to see my previous loans. Good job I have previous email correspondence. Simply not good enough.

Myjar holding back why? Money issues perhaps
After initially rejected my complaint. FOS upheld and Myjar have now agreed to settle my complaint.
Still no redress payment from them very unsatisfactory as they were at fault for lending the money to me in the first place.
Just hoping that they are not going into administration like so many others and that is the reason why I have been not been refunded

Waiting for refund - taking forever!
After a very prompt initial response regarding a redress refund Myjar seem to have gone off the radar! Not replying to my emails or phone call. They stated refund would be made within 10- 15 working days & now past that date. Still hoping this can be resolved.

Do NOT use
Had 4 loans with this company, two of which were paid early. Tried to apply again, put my weekly salary instead of monthly. Told to reapply in 24 hours by email, then wouldn't let me apply. Used Bamboo instead - much easier and quicker application. would not use myjar again.
Stand by my response will not use again and reading other reviews I am not alone in my thinking.
Was told my email I could apply again in 24 hours - this was a lie as I could not - hardly professional!

Please rest assured that if a customers makes a mistake in their application, but notify us about it, we are able to correct it and run another assessment. If the request for funds was still denied after that, there must have been another reason for it at that time, but that does not mean that the application could not be approved in the future. We run thorough checks before each loan, based on the newest data available to us.

Had 2 loans with these both paid off 1 early but still showing as open on my credit file so affecting my score contacted them to tell them but they were not interested

Very agreeable and pain free.
Looking at some of the negative reviews below it's clear that some didn't do things the right way.
I put in a claim about 3 weeks ago with Resolver and had plenty of communication with Myjar, i gave them eveything they requested and they offered a full refund for all my loans, i got this response two days ago and i'm just awaiting my confirmation email expected within the next 10-15 days.
This was totally painless and stress free, thank you Myjar for your quick responses, this is how winning claims should go.

I am really happy with the response I had to my complaint and the offer of redress. However, MyJar's communication has been absolutely shocking. I sent my complaint in November and emailed a further three times chasing it but only got a response when I raised it via Resolver. I replied on Resolver and also emailed them direct in view of previous communication issues where they said they had replied and emails must have gone in my spam folder which was not the case. I requested they acknowledged my response but have had nothing back. I rang the complaints number but it has a recorded announcement saying it's not available. I used their Ring Me text service but no call has been received so I rang the main customer service number who said the complaints team do not have a telephone line !!
This could so easily have been a five start review if they would only actually speak to me.

Apparently Myjar owed me money and I never knew, now it’s compensation time and the adjudicator as set them a dead line. It is now 4 days overdue still no refund. Different if I owed them money!!

no good anymore
used to have myjar plus status where they offered upto 4 grand in loans then when i used my wife's card to pay my loan back they completely changed with me, despite sending in all the paperwork showing she approved it, they keep turning me down, despite my credit rating being higher and my wage being higher. company is an absolute joke now to me. they seem to have staff that just read a script and don't have anyone who has actually any common sense who knows what's really going, keep telling me its an affordability issue when they know its not i also borrowed a £100 from them recently paid it back succesful then it just goes straight back to apply again in 24 hours. Oh also i am borrowing from other companies now with no issues. AVOID

We appreciate our loyal customers and try to always help them out whenever we can. With that said, we do have to run various assessments before each and every loan. As such, while you may be eligibile for a certain type of loan during one application, this may no longer be the case in the future.
Furthermore, we reserve the right to stop offering certain types of products, so we have currently suspended giving out Myjar Plus loans, but are still offering shorter loans with terms between 3 to 12 months.
If you do decide to take out a new loan in the future and are approved, we would ask you to only use your personal debit card for payments.

How can they borrow you money for that…
How can they borrow you money for that last 7 or 8 months you make every payment on time pay the last loan off early and then they decline you when you didnt even apply. Tried to log in to check my account by clicking next and it came up declined. Hate it when there is no LOYALTY.
