I've included some tips (albeit there are a lot but so worth it) as to why your nails might not be lasting and please feel free to pop us an email to info@mylee.co.uk where we can best assist you further.

These issues could be down to a number of reasons. If you are using a LED lamp you need to ensure you are curing the top/base coat for 1 minute and gel colours for 30 seconds and if you are using a UV lamp ensure you are curing for a full 2 mins under the UV.

The most frequent reason for gel polish lifting is due to the preparation of the nails before application. Do make sure your nails are cleansed before applying your base coat. Push back your cuticles and any dead skin on your nail bed. If you leave any dead skin on the nail bed by the cuticle, it will start softening with time and contact with water and will ultimately shed, making the gel polish lift by the cuticle. Avoid using oils or lotions on your nails before you start your manicure. Also avoid putting your hands in hot water before or after application, such as a warm shower or washing up, as this can cause your nails to expand and contract, causing gel polish to shift.

If you had the entire gel polish lift off the nail bed, it is most likely due to the technique of buffing the nail surface. Gel polish likes to cling onto a slightly rough surface on your nail bed, and buffing the nail provides this. Do make sure to lightly buff and roughen up your nail surface before application and cleanse to remove any dust. A smooth nail bed could cause polish not to adhere properly.

Always ensure you're applying your gel polish in thin layers. You can apply multiple layers to build up the opacity. If a coat of polish is applied too thickly it may not cure evenly, leading to bumps and lumps forming.

When it comes to actually painting your nails, it’s key to stay within your nail bed and not get any polish on the skin or let it pool by the cuticle or the side of the nail bed. If there is any polish that starts pooling, it will create an edge for the polish to lift.

If your gel polish started lifting from the tip of the nail, try capping the free edge of your nails to seal in your polish. This simply means adding a thin layer of polish to the tip of your nail. This covers the edge and means the polish wraps around the nail more, leaving less edge for the polish to try and lift! When capping the free edge be sure to only use a tiny tiny bit of polish.

Please also ensure that you're not shaking the bottle of polish prior to application as this could cause air bubbles to form. To mix your polish, roll it gently between your hands.

Please also ensure that the white or transparent blue sticker that covers the entirety of the lamp tray is removed. Once this sticker is removed, this helps the lights to reflect off the mirrored tray which assists with curing the gel.

We'd recommend if it still isn't lasting after you've tried again after taking into consideration all of these points, then try a nail dehydrator on your nails as it could be that your nails have too much oil or moisture on them that isn't always visible. This should help ensure that the gel is adhered to the nail properly.

Please do try out these tips and remember gel polish can take some getting used to but once you've figured it out the results are worth it!

Manufacturing issue

Bought today sealed box , opened product to find 2 base coats instead of what should be in the box, this is the first and last purchase, I would avoid as clearly a packaging issue with base coat and no wipe top coat.

Excellent customer service

I had left an incorrect delivery address when ordering. I managed to find an email address to contact Mylee and reply said it would be dealt within 2 days. However, a few hours later I was notified that they had received my query and had altered the address. That was one hell of a relief!

BIG Mylee nail gel fan 👌

I’ve been using Mylee nail gels on my clients & my own nails for several years now. It’s an excellent product. Easy to apply with great staying power. Keeps its shine for weeks. There’s no damage to the natural nail, quite the contrary. Weak, brittle nails 💅 are in better condition after having Mylee gel on.

So happy

So happy with Mylee. Bought one of their kits & due to an issue with Yodel I never received it. I contacted Mylee and explained the issue and they had sent out another one immediately, and I received it next day!
I was looking for a new gel company and I’ll definitely stay with Mylee from now on. The kit has everything you need to start the switch. I can’t wait to purchase more gels.

Zero customer service

Zero customer service !
Have emailed & used the WhatsApp chat with no reply. Website says it offers live chat however that is just for show the link doesn’t even work!
I have not received my order have had to contact my bank to try and claim the money back.
First time buying from mylee, sure will be my last

Ive purchased mylee few times now and…

Ive purchased mylee few times now and highly recommend buying it directly from website as you can never trust other companies… recently my partner bought me a ghosting shade from amazon and the quality after second use was bad so I’ve contacted mylee in case there was a problem with this particular batch of product or perhaps maybe Amazon stored it incorrectly, regardless, the help and supposed I have received is truly amazing and highly appreciated. Excellent customer service

I love Mylee products, the gels are definitely salon quality. However, one of the accessories I bought broke after very few uses. I explained what happened to Mylee customer services via email along with a photo and I received a prompt response. I didn't expect a replacement because although I hadn't used the item many times I'd had it for just over a year. However, Mylee immediately said they would send a replacement which has now been shipped. This is excellent service. Thank you.

Bad customer service

Been shopping with you for a long time since buying gel polish kit some years ago but your customer service attitude leaves a lot to be desired!
You recently advertised a new catseye polish kit but good job looked for what you need as you failed to wait until the black gel polish you say is needed for first coat before catseye polish is used is back in stock so not a lot of use when only half of required items is available

We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed that the black gel polish was out of stock - It does state on our listing that for best results a black gel polish is required, however, you can use it with a different colour gel polish as it's not limited to just a black base. The black gel polish may be out of stock on our website but great news as it's available to purchase on our third-party trade retailers which are Boots, ASOS and JustMyLook!

As much as we'd love to sell the colours altogether, this isn't always the case as some customers already have a black gel polish and want to add to their cat-eye collection when a new cat-eye colour is launched or comes back into stock!

Amazing products but poor customer service

Have been using mylee for about 5 years and products and orders have always been fantastic so never had to contact the customer service team.

I purchased a large order on the Boxing Day sale and paid for next day delivery. I was not expecting the item to arrive next day due to the Christmas period. Mylee sent the order the following day which was fantastic however tracking was showing as order placed but awaiting item from sender. After a week I contacted mylee and advised that it seems there is a problem, the agent who did not leave a name stated that the courier attempted delivery and returned to mylee. I sent screenshots to the agent that this is not correct and that she may be looking at a different order as I had placed a few orders. The agent did not acknowledge the error and instead said that she will send a replacement. I asked her to just acknowledge the error made previously as I did not like being made to feel at blame for an error in the delivery process. This again was not acknowledged and no apology was given and I even had to beg for a refund on the delivery charge. Responses were short and blunt and just generally not a very nice experience.

I’ve always been happy with mylee products but the possibility of encountering their customer service team puts me off.

Amazing customer service

Amazing customer service. I ordered a colour that didn’t come as the shade I expected - I got in touch and the lovely people at Mylee reached out right away and send a replacement with Express shipping. Couldn’t be happier, highly recommend , all deliveries have come fast and a high quality product backed up with great customer service!

Really helpful customer service

Disappointing Customer Service

Very disappointed with the customer service. A missing parcel (Mylee confirmed there was a delivery problem with DPD) has still not been resolved. Mistakes happen the initial issue wasn't a problem with Mylee so my review does not relate to the problem with delivery. The lack of and very slow communication from Mylee has not been good enough. I confirmed I would like a replacement order rather than a refund but have hear nothing since, radio silence. I had hoped I was buying from a reputable company but the customer service has been virtually non existent. When I first raised the issue I was told a replacement would be sent but we're now a few days later and I'm still waiting for them to get in touch, not good enough when they have already taken the money.

Cannot review the quality of the products as still not received and do not know if they have been sent. Very poor experience. Given how this has been handled would buy the products elsewhere going forward.

False product images for nail polish

Disappointed with my recent purchase of 3 nail polishes. The colors received were drastically different from those shown on the website, appearing neon and unappealing. While delivery was prompt, the color discrepancy is a major issue. I suggest updating product images to accurately represent the actual shades.

I am sorry to hear this. Sometimes colours can look different on different screen monitors. Make sure your brightness is turned up on your phone and check other devices. It's also worth noting that the colour on the cap of the bottle isn't always what the colour looks like once you've cured it to your nails - the reason being is that the colour on the cap is just a small sample of an uncured layer.

Really helpful customer service & product I've used for ages

Always reliable

I have used this brand for a few years now, and find them so easy to use. If my nails peel / chip within a day or two, it is due to personal error and rushing the process. When applied properly, the products are great.
I purchased an order this weekend and accidentally hit the 'express checkout' option. Unbeknownst to me, this option picked up my 'legal' address from Google pay, which is somewhere I haven't lived in over a decade! Within 12 hours of sending an email, Beatrice came back and confirmed my shipping address had been amended to my current one. Thanks so much, will continue to use :)
