My Method have been great
My Method have been great - they've connected me to a teacher, Danai, who has really helped me improve in Pilates. I've been having weekly classes for a few months now, at first in my home and now online, via Zoom. I had been working hard to build up my strength and skill before lockdown so I was concerned that I would lose these achievements if I wasn’t able to continue my classes. But the online sessions have been great – Danai is an excellent teacher and is still able to give me thorough feedback when we go through the exercises. The transition has been really easy and I really look forward to my weekly classes. Thanks so much!
My Method Yoga Review
I first started my yoga sessions with Lon at around week 20 of my pregnancy, baby is now 5 months old and I realise now how lucky I have been to find such a grounding, compassionate and thoroughly lovely person that Lon is to be my teacher and friend. She has guided me through some pretty challenging times and for that I will be forever grateful.
As we entered the COVID-19 lockdown, I realised I would need her more than ever so instead of her one visit to me a week, we now meet twice a week over Zoom conference. Her directions are clear and precise so you’re not looking up to check you’re doing the right thing, and she’s very observant, constantly checking you’re positioning. I honestly can't tell the difference between her being in the same room as me or over Zoom.
Her sessions can be whatever you want them to be. Though be warned, if you ask for a tough session be prepared to sweat! : ) I consider our two classes an essential part of my week and always find myself looking forward to them.
Thanks Lon for being there, you are appreciated!
Something to look forward to, even more so in lockdown!
I've been having weekly Pilates classes with Isabelle at My Method for a few months now which have been fantastic. We moved over to video sessions in lockdown world which the My Method team set up really quickly and easily and work pretty much as well as the real thing! I think this is also testament to Isabelle's teaching as she is able to verbally tweak positions just as well over video as she is physically in person. They are genuinely a highlight of my lockdown week, so much so we are now doing two sessions a week!
Brilliant
Brilliant! We are a family of five, the youngest is 8, two in their 20s and two well over 40. So a big range in ages and needs. Quite a challenge that our excellent teacher Che made look like a walk in the park!
We had a great support to setup the online tech before the session started and it went very smooth even with our rubbish broadband. Easy to see and hear Che's instructions. Great fun - especially the dynamic frog (we were told the proper term for it but can't remember it!) and great to be able to do a fun activity all together during lockdown.
It's changed the way we look at this sort of activity and we will be continuing not just through lockdown but when life returns to 'normal' - the personal coaching is effective online and easier for us to manage around everyone's other commitments. A real eye opener.
Makes life fun, healthy and simplfies it too!

Great Way to get your yoga fix Pilates fix in lockdown or even if you just a busy person and can’t find time to make it to lessons
The thing is the One to One is very good because they can correct you in a way a bigger class can’t
The set up is simple using zoom but you probs do need a laptop or a tripod to hold a large iPad
But it works very well . I will definitely be carrying on because I often miss my class at gym due to work and this gets rid of travel aspect and timing in one . Can’t recommend highly enough
Lockdown highlight
Jonny has been helping me get fit and cope with two slipped discs since last autumn. He’d already made such a difference - enabling me to have full days with no pain and to see our sessions as more than just remedial. He has changed the way I hold myself and improved all sorts of things aesthetically, too, as an unanticipated bonus.
Then came lockdown and sessions via zoom. I decided to ask my housemate to join me for these. This has been a huge success, instantly boosting the mood in the household. Jonny’s such a pleasure to spend time with even via a screen.
I anchor my laptop on top of the cooker hood, holding it in place with blu tack! This way I can give Jonny a slight “top shot” and it’s amazing how well he can see what we’re doing. He can still give the kind of subtle corrections that he does so effectively in person. And I feel I have a very good view of what Jonny’s showing us - particularly as he’s so attentive to adjusting the position of his camera to give us the best possible view. Jonny’s a brilliant communicator, and his ability to make the sessions so focussed even when they’re mediated by technology just makes this more evident. I feel that I’m continuing to progress despite the social distancing. It’s been one of the few highlights of each relatively isolated week for me! It will be lovely to get to see Jonny in person once again, but this is as close a substitute for that as I could imagine.
Excellent private yoga session.
I had a great session with My Method. This was my first yoga session. I am a male in my 50's and visiting a studio dosen't appeal. I am pleased to say that the session was excellent and I will be continuing. The customer service was very good, we discussed my medical history thoroughly and a teacher was suggested who is a specialist in my particular condition. I highly recommend.
Fantastic yoga on Zoom!
I'm a big fan of My Method having been a client for over a year, having wonderful sessions at home with Imogen, who is the most fantastic teacher.
When lockdown started i decided, somewhat apprehensively, to try a zoom lesson with Imogen. I was worried how this would go and not expecting too much.......
HOWEVER, the session was fantastic! Very much like a "real" session as Imogen was able to demonstrate and to see us and correct us as necessary. The transition to Zoom was really easy and if anything, at theses troubling times, i am enjoying the Zoom sessions even more than the real ones! I would urge you to give it a
go; the sessions work really well and the excellent yoga offered by My Method is essential at this difficult time.
Excellent session
An excellent process, super efficient from start to finish. Great to have tech support at the start to sort out camera angles on zoom, smart! The customer service to get booked at the start was delightful, slick, helpful and encouraging. Tracy our yoga teacher was wonderful, very easy to understand what to do, easy to see. Really enjoyed the session, was great to share the experience with 2 of our team as well. I felt I had a proper yoga session... it’s amazing what you can do online
Had a group yoga session with My Method…
Had a group yoga session with My Method last night and was the perfect way to start the long weekend and help manage stress and anxiety that has been building up over the last couple of weeks for me with all that has been going on in the world. It was a great experience and doing it with my fellow team members at Tablecrowd was perfect, stretching abd strengthing together it was perfect.
Tracey the teacher was superb, very experienced, caring and taught at the perfect pace, relaxed evening yoga with some power moves, but not to many, which was a nice balance with a focus on reducing stress as well as conditioning our bodies.
Highly recommend My Method during working from home during this pandemic and beyond too. Perfect for busy professionals with busy schedules, I'm a fan!
Top-notch pilates providers
I started pilates with Marjan, an excellent MyMethod trainer, after the birth of my second child in 2019, and it was the best decision ever! The company’s staff are very professional, and their trainers very well-trained, warm and organised. Thanks to Marjan my post-partum recovery has been fantastic. I am still continuing my classes!
Fantastic pre-natal Pilates at home
I’m new to Pilates and found this the ideal way to learn. Having had problems earlier in the pregnancy I’ve been really nervous about exercising. From my first session I felt relaxed, supported and finally understood my pelvic floor! The session was completely bespoke and eased my concerns, I’ve benefited from not learning Pilates and also feeling more relaxed in pregnancy and my body. Highly recommend.
I loved my session with My Method
I loved my session with My Method! The teacher arrived on time, was professional and made us feel very comfortable. The yoga class was perfectly tailored to our needs and we felt supported throughout. I would really encourage others to try this special experience of having a private yoga session at home. It was much more transformational for me than a large group class, and was a very special thing to share with my husband. I think next time I will do a class with my girlfriends!
