Impressive and worth doing
Initially when I first received this healthy heart check I did put it off for a while as I found it quite daunting having to take my own blood!
However I decided to bite the bullet and give it a shot. It’s actually really easy and there is step by step videos to guide you along the way.
Taking blood wasn’t nowhere near as bad as I thought and I hardly felt the needle for more then half a second.
Once done you wait for the results and you get quite an in depth report. And you can have a pharmacist to arrange to speak to you about the results too for free afterwards.
I’m really impressed I must say.

Total disappointment
Total disappointment. Got the Lipid self test. Followed the instructions. Took over 10 photos of the results and apparently all these photos were blurry. My hands don't shake, the camera on my phone is excellent, the room is very well lit. Not worth it at all!!!

Only works with specific phone models
I got the Healthy Heart Check for free. When I signed up for it, I don't remember seeing anything about needing a particular model of phone, but when I received the kit and was directed to download the app, I saw this was, indeed, the case. I can't remember the exact wording, but it wasn't to the effect that it wouldn't work with an unsupported model, but rather that it might not be as accurate, I think. Anyway, it was unable to take a photo that it didn't deem blurry in the required time. I was sent a replacement, but it was just the same story. It seemed I could get a third one, but there was no point. My phone only came out last year, and it doesn't take blurry photos. The kit itself is very easy to use, but perhaps they should make it clearer to people purchasing it that they will require a particular phone. I have no complaints anyway. It was free - I didn't lose anything.

Great bit of kit
I received the test a couple of days after ordering it. A tiny prick of the finger, and a short wait, and I was shown to have high cholesterol. I had no symptoms. Very glad I found this test. The more fat in your blood, the higher the blood reaches on the scale if you like.
