Ease of use
Ease of use, great user interface, excellent customer service!
Great live customer service assistance; Wonky web site applications
Great live customer service assistance. The webpage is a disaster. Tried to rollover funds from 401K to my IRRA, but I could only get a cash option and taxes had to be taken out! Couldn't figure that out, so I called.
Customer service representative Ed figured it out quickly. This is my first year for a RMD, but not till December. Apparently the System has some stupid AI which was trying to force me to take the RMD first, then any additional amount.
Instead, I'm doing it the old fashioned way with pen to paper on a Distribution Request Form and NOT taking an RMD in addition.
Also, the investment choices just changed and there is no way to just park my money in a money market account. Not a big fan of the current investment choices either. Don't get me started on the fees either.

Yohanan: Give him a raise
I would like to write this for Yohanan. I must say that he was absolutely amazing. His customer service skills are impeccable. Yohanan was given a very difficult problem and showed that he was an amazing professional. Please give him a raise. He deserves it. I wish I could hire him at my organization.

Each one of the representatives I spoke with were very helpful. I would like to specifically give a thank you and acknowledgment to AJ. He was very knowledgeable very friendly, very professional and extremely helpful. I wish that every time I called into a company I could speak with someone like AJ as he allayed all of my frustration by staying on the phone with me to help me work through each issue. I truly appreciate his help and would love to take my coffee. 😁

I have dealt with a number of other companies that offer retirement an payroll services over my career. Ubiquity is far better than any other company I have ever dealt with. Glitches happen with complicated dealings but they are so pleasant to deal with and fix any problems so quickly its as if they never happened

Exceptional Client Onboarding Specialist: Ali Kimbrell
I recently had the pleasure of working with Ali Kimbrell, and I cannot speak highly enough of her professionalism, expertise, and demeanor throughout our 401K plan onboarding process. Ali served as our client onboarding specialist, and from the initial stages to the final details, she exemplified excellence in every aspect.
First and foremost, Ali's kindness was palpable in every interaction. She approached each step of the process with a genuine desire to assist and support, making what could have been a daunting task feel manageable and even enjoyable. Her warmth and empathy created a comfortable atmosphere, allowing for open communication and a smooth transition into our new 401K plan.
Ali's professionalism was evident from the outset. She demonstrated a thorough understanding of the intricacies of 401K plans and guided us expertly through the onboarding process. Her attention to detail ensured that no aspect was overlooked, and she consistently went above and beyond to address any questions or concerns promptly and effectively.
One of Ali's standout qualities was her responsiveness. No matter the time or nature of the inquiry, Ali was always quick to respond with clarity and precision. Her dedication to ensuring timely and accurate communication instilled confidence in our team and alleviated any apprehensions we may have had.
Furthermore, Ali's positive attitude was infectious. Despite the inevitable challenges that arise during such processes, Ali maintained a cheerful and optimistic demeanor throughout. Her enthusiasm was not only refreshing but also motivational, inspiring confidence in our decision to embark on this 401K journey.
In conclusion, working with Ali Kimbrell was an absolute pleasure, and I wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone beginning their 401K process. Her kindness, professionalism, responsiveness, and unwavering positivity made what could have been a daunting experience a smooth and enjoyable one. Thank you, Ali, for your exceptional support and expertise.

This company is the worst 401K company…
This company is the worst 401K company I have ever been forced to allow to hold my 401K contributions. They make changes to one's investments, changing where and how much is invested WITHOUT your express approval. Even when you are explicitly denied them the rights to 'rebalance'. Then they argue with you and refuse to change your investments back, costing one significant earnings and leaving you stuck with the funds that charge the highest fees. If your employer chooses this company for 401Ks, FIND A ANOTHER Employer.

It's Always Something...!!
I can only characterize my experiences with Ubiquity as frustratingly slow and tedious. It takes FOREVER to accomplish anything that requires assistance from a human at Ubiquity!
Send an email to Support and here's their standard reply: We are experiencing an unusually high volume and will respond to your inquiry within seven to ten business days.
Ubiquity, here's a hint: HIRE more people! Your customers, Small Businesses, don't generally have the luxury of telling their customers to wait 7-10 business days to respond to an email, or to complete a request for action.
The only thing that Ubiquity is quick with is onboarding a new customer and collecting their fees (and it seems that everything has an additional fee on top of their quarterly pound of flesh).
Since I don't have any experience with other companies who administer 401K retirement plans, I can't say that Ubiquity is better or worse, only that I would not choose them again.
Ubiquity trainwreck from start to finish...
I have a PCRA account with Charles Schwab in which Ubiquity is the administrator. I have verified with Schwab that there is NO NAMED TRUSTEE on the PCRA account. I have been informed by Schwab that only Ubiquity has the authority to name me as Trustee over my company PCRA account, I am a small business owner with just myself and my wife participating in the safe harbor 401k at Ubiquity. The advice I was given by Ubiquity is to terminate my agreement with them and that would "release my money" but that is extremely poor fiduciary advice because that would freeze and lock my money into the PCRA account at Schwab since there is no named Trustee. I have been trying to communicate with Ubiquity for months regarding this issue with absolutely no help and refusal to let me speak with a manager that understands what they are doing. I am thankful to the PCRA team at Schwab for providing me with good advice and I am in complete shock at the lack of customer service, fiduciary responsibility, and knowledge at Ubiquity. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF FROM DEALING WITH THE SAME DISASTER, DO NOT WALK BUT RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I have had nothing but issues with this company from day one, I trusted their marketing that they focus on helping small business owners but they dont, they only take your business and leave you with no direction, no communication, and charge you quarterly to treat you like trash.

Ask for Diana!
After a rough start signing up with the sales person, Diana went above and beyond to guide me through the whole process of opening an Individual 401k which is much more complicated than I expected. I truly appreciate how Diana helped me deal with the heavy procedures in place at the brokerage firm where I opened the account. Thanks again!

Worst customer service and non responsive
I have been chasing MyUbiquity to release my fund from last 1.5 years, lost phenomenal amount of tax savings as could not take distribution last year. I left the employer in middle of 2022 and since that time I have been asking to release my funds. Made some 100 of calls and emails, no luck. I was the trustee on the account and it has been nightmare to get the account closed. The customer service is extremely poor and generally the answering person picks the call and then they return the call in 1-2 days if you are lucky. I would not recommend this company if you want to avoid the run around when you have to exit the plan.
By the way dont believe their website which shows all false reviews ratings, for example they are 3.8 star on trust pilot but shows 4.6 on the website.
I have given up to retrieve my funds and finally I have to highlight this incident so others dont suffer in the same way.

Existing Customer Experince.
Set-up and incoming customers are treated very well, with quick responses and easy contact during initial set-up. HOWEVER, existing customers are not treated with the same priority or care. This is unfortunately a common theme we have experienced in the year since starting service with this company.
We have been trying to contact someone at Myubiquity (after a year of service and major contributions/rollovers) during a hardship, purchasing our primary residence. As simple as an inquiry to understand the process and restrictions involved, but with no available resources other than a 3rd party call center with NO direct connection with Myubquity's in-house support team, a Chat Bot that runs Itself in circles(try AI- if you're not going have the staff to take care of all of your customers, at least fake it), and an email address that never responds.
Leaving your existing customers in the dark, especially during a hardship, is incredibly disheartening. There isn't much we can do as your customers, especially with limited access to customer support. We hope to see improvement on this front.
Unfortunately, at the time of this review, we have still yet to get a response on our original ticket.
We write this review not as a deterrent for future customers, but as a caution of what to expect afterward, and to those who are going through any hardships of their own.

I would rate this company a -10 stars
I would rate this company a -10 stars. When calling the CSR are reading scripts - called in 3 times no return calls - they all "apologize" and "escalate" - but nothing happens. Support email address is a black hole no response to 5 emails. This is one of the worst customer service experiences - scary that they are handling compliance and documentation for so many retirement plans. Run from this company.

Poor training and response time
One of my businesses has been a Ubiquity Retirement customer since 2015. I'm an experienced benefits consultant with more than 30 years of working with 401(k) plans. From the beginning, I realized Ubiquity is not for an employer that doesn't have access to someone like me. The company's people are poorly trained but that has not been an issue as I have the expertise to overcome their shortfalls. However, within the last year or so, I've notice Ubiquity rarely answer their phones and their response time has become way too long. Unless you have significant expertise in the 401(k) area, you should look elsewhere!
