If I could leave minus stars I would . Abysmal customer service. Called on 11th May to get new windscreen ,given 20th May . 3 texts on the day to say they’d be there then one saying glass hadn’t been delivered so weren’t coming . Couldn’t contact branch then got 3 different excuses as to why they couldn’t do it that day. New date of 1st June as nothing earlier so had to change holiday dates. Text this morning to say they’d be there be here between 9am - 4pm and it would take 4 hrs.
Next text had tracking app so we saw the technician was in Southport and had one more job to do . He went to Preston and then the app disappeared and a message saying they would contact us when the parts arrived! Phoned again to be told it would not be happening as glass not arrived . We were offered a new date of ‘possibly’ 11th June . We go away on 6th . Not willing to pay for yet another amendment to our ferry crossing so called a local guy who can do it tomorrow .How is he able to get the glass and a nationwide company can’t on two occasions.
We will be £400 +out of pocket as our insurance company only uses NW.
Unfortunately even if they could come and fix it today after the lies, excuses and awful service I wouldn’t let them . Avoid at all cost

My repair was professional handled and the customer service was very good. Cannot fault the team who handled the repair process and the branch technician who excelled at his job. Well done all around.

Top edge of screen on outside looks like it has been dragged along the ground, adas sensor has not been fitted high enough so trims don't fit flush and car not cleaned properly after screen fitted debris inside and dirty footprints on inside doorstep.

Chipped my windshield on the motorway. My insurance uses this company for any replacement or repair work. This event happened on the 22-23rd April, cant quite remember. I rang up and the nearest service I could get was on the 4th May. A couple of days before this, I got a phone call to say that my appoitment will be reschedueled because they did not have any windshields in at that time (moved to the 7th May). On the 7th May, as I didn't go to uni to wait for the service, I get another phone call to say that my windshield cannot be replaced today as it was broken in the van drivers possession. So it then got moved to the 12th of May. However, I then received another call in which the driver's van had broken down. Absolutely shocking customer experience, genuinely perplexed as to how a company that specialises in windshields: A = have no windshields and B = be so slow to repair them. Unfortunately, this experience has really put me off this company and my insurers (Hastings Direct). As I started to desperately need my car I gave up with National Windshields and used a local garage instead which fitted me in the next day and within an hour. As a result of National Windscreens appalling service, I had to pay over £300 for a replacement instead of my insurers £135.

I have a top end Toyota CHR. Damaged the screen electrics when fitting and the screen needs aligning. Waiting over 5 days for a part and still not resolved. Reported to my insurer. An absolute shower!

Communication was good before the appointment. I delivered my car, greeted nicely and the windscreen replaced during the time period stated. Work seems grand.

Good promt service, had to wait a few hours due to lane assist etc having to calibrate with the council, apart from that, very good service.

I contacted NatWind through insurers. Was told car would have to be taken to Preston (1.5hrs away) and given a booking 4 weeks ahead, and would need to leave car for up to 4 hrs. Due to 4 hrs required had to drive down in 2 cars to avoid sitting around waiting. On arrival at 1200 was told windscreen replacement would take around 2 hrs. and they would phone when complete. Heard nothing so returned 4.5 hrs later to find repair not even started. Had to leave vehicle overnight and travel home arriving 7 hrs after starting out. Next day received advice note (not an invoice by email) so phone NatWind call centre and was told car was showing completed. Drove back to Preston and found car ready, never did receive any notification it was completed. Could not pay at centre, had to take photo of a number to call for automatic payment. Guys at centre did not know what "upgrade" amount of £39.50 shown on note was for. On return home phoned payment line and spoke to someone who said that upgrade was for new wipers, even though I had fitted new ones less than 2 months previously (at a cost of £18) and they were still on the car. They said they would check if they had been fitted and get back to me - never did. Although the automated payment line now requires just the excess. Seems a scam to squeeze more money onto the bill. All in all a poor experience with a total of 10 hrs travel / waiting time over 2 days. The guys at the workshop were very helpful and did a great job - just overworked and most probably overbooked by the central system

Good communications from the local fitters. Car requested in earlier than the booking time and completed in super fast time. Thanks so much.

Completed online request on Tuesday 05/05/26 and received quote for replacement windscreen. Called up to pursue Business and was told the quote was incorrect but I foolishly decided to accept and someone would call me back.
No contact Wednesday 06/05/26. I contacted twice on Thursday 07/05/26, for an update, first time was put through after a 12minute wait to a disconnected number and second time to a call handler in Peterborough who said someone would call me back.
Friday 08/05/26, I have called for a fourth time to be told the Branch manager is off sick so “no one” can manage this request. Waste of time and suspect fraudulently offering below value estimates to get business, if they can be bothered! Have now gone elsewhere!
