Heaven on one’s feet 👌
5 stars 🌟
Seamless experience from start to finish.
These are the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.
Life changing footwear.
Bought 3 pairs and will definitely buy more.
Not actually "Hiking" Boots
Ordered a pair of Intemperia 2.0® Winter Barefoot Boots about a month ago. The most important information you'll need if you are planning on buying these boots is they are advertised as "waterproof" yet do not have a gusseted tongue and therefore water can enter the boots if you stand in a shallow puddle or running water. Obviously not designed by anybody who has actually hiked in the UK 🤣
That out of the way, here are my other concerns with this company. Took 10 days to arrive. I actually think the boots are comfortable and look fairly sturdy (but as I will not be actually wearing them as hiking boots, I can neither confirm or contradict this impression).
Having worn my new boots on Dartmoor on a rainy day I was not happy to have soggy socks and messaged Customer Service to mention my obvious annoyance.
The tawdry offer of some free waterproofing "worth £25" only made me want to investigate the problem further. Hence my discovery that water can enter the boots through the tongue (an obvious oversight considering the way they are advertised).
I replied to Naturcontact that I already had some waterproofing and that surely a company based in the UK would know that the design was flawed?
I also mentioned that having worn the boots I realised their terrible after sales policy of not refunding meant my only recourse would be to review the boots on my blog (I reassured them that nobody would read this 😥).
I then received a "How did we do" reply 🤣
Bad move!
I posted a review on their website (which seems to not be available to view).
I'm now posting on Trust Pilot as I have nothing to lose (and frankly I would have been happy to have lost money and just learnt my lesson if they'd maybe given me a gift voucher, or at least sucked up a little 😁).
I have plantar fasciitis and barefoot shoes have been a life saver for me, so I have spent quite a while researching barefoot hiking boots.
Both Vivobarefoot and Freet have been amazing with their after service care - replacing or refunding me for boots which either failed to do as advertised, or were broken within months.
I totally understand that "waterproof" and "hiking boots" mean something incomprehensible to anybody in a marketing department, however I plan on losing Naturcontact more in sales than they managed to con me out of 🤣
I hike regularly and have already besmirched the company to four fellow hikers, in the future I hope to spread the word long and far 😜
I shall now enjoy my overpriced "walking in the park" boots and see where else I can post about shoddy customer service 😂
Love these boots
Love these boots. I now own two pairs as they are so comfortable and snuggly warm. Excellent sizing guide. Definitely my go to winter footwear.
AVOID - Poor Quality Product, and Terrible Customer Service
I bought some waterproof vegan leather boots for around £90. Expensive, but I thought it would be worth it for some good quality boots to see me through the winter.
The FIRST time I wore these on a morning walk through wet grass they soaked my socks. It wasn't raining, and I didn't walk through any puddles. This was the absolute bare minimum of what a product marketed as "waterproof" should be able to handle.
This must be a deficient pair of boots, I thought - I better get a replacement.
So, I send a message to customer services to request a replacement or refund. Surprisingly, I was told they did not accept returns. I pointed out to this person that I was within the 30-days return and the 12-month warranty timeframe advertised on their store website. Then I was told that they did not accept returns if the shoes had already been worn. When I pointed out there would be no way of telling if the product was defective without wearing them, I was told that they could not accept any returns without photographic evidence of the fault. Of course, I cannot provide photographic evidence of a lack of waterproofing. It seems like the representative I am talking to is saying anything to avoid giving me a refund or replacement.
The customer service representative I have been talking to has now gone completely silent for a week, and has not responded to my further emails. It seems like they are just hoping to ignore this issue until the 30-days return window has passed, and so force me to accept paying full price for a deficient product.
Even if I do end up getting a partial or full refund, the customer service experience has been awful. It's a real shame - they are good looking shoes, which seem ethically made, and I was hoping to order more from this company in the future.
UPDATE - Coincidently, a few minutes after posting this review, I was again contacted by the company. I was told that because I had worn the shoes once, this counted as "normal wear and tear" and was not covered by their returns policy. I was however invited to send the shoes to their inspection facility in China AT MY OWN EXPENSE if I wanted to proceed. I have gone from thinking that this is a good company who had made a mistake, to thinking this has been a scam from the start.
NOTE - after my first email, I was sent a complementary waterproofing spray. However, it seems that a brand new item marketed as waterproof should not need this spray, and besides I would have to wear the shoes more to see if the spray worked - which would seem to prevent any possibility of refunds or returns.

vegan barefoot walking boot and excellent customer service
I bought some vegan barefoot walking shoes for my daughter, which she is really happy with. The fitting, look and quality are all excellent.
In addition, customer service resolved an issue with a discount code really promptly and gave a refund.
Poor quality, poor service, poor product.
This was an unpleasant experience. The sizing is weird, made for short broad feet. The same styles appear for both men and women, which is fine except that women are NOT little men and the fit needs to be appropriate.
High hidden costs made a return impractical so I opted for an exchange. The alternative item fitted with two pairs of insoles (taking away from the barefoot experience) but wore out after only 2 months of wear. And the final insult was being expected to pay nearly £40 for a like-for-like replacement! Poor quality, poor service, poor product. Avoid.

Be warned...after sales diabolical
I bought my lapland hi-top barefoot boots 24th August 2025 for £95 because the advert states they are 'engineered with advanced cold - resistant materials and a waterproof construction shielding feet from snow slush and feezing rain while keeping them warm and dry'. Less than two months later, having not worn them due to weather being dry i wore them in October and walked through wet grass and my feet were literally soaked. After emails back n forth they sent me a waterproof spray. I used this but continued to get soaked feet. And then within 3months of buying them with very little wear the rubber edging is coming away from the boot!
Naturcontact have said they will send me a replacement pair but I have to pay £19.90 for delivery. These are faulty boots. I have read under the consumers act 2015 the seller pays for this. In their last email they said that 'the issue you reported occurred after use. As the shoes were used and the reported issue is consistent with normal wear and tear, this case is considered a non-faulty used return.... How else do you know if a product is faulty unless you use it?
They have restated their £19.90 delivery for a replacement and if I choose to dispute them they wrote 'Should the product not be returned, or if the inspection confirms wear and tear rather than a manufacturing fault, we will proceed with a legal claim for unjust enrichment, and the full amount will be recovered through court action. This process is supported under applicable consumer and contract law.'
I am extremely disappointed with their customer service and 'threat of court action' if I dispute them.
I believe my boots are faulty after less than 3 months and very little wear so how can they say it's down to wear and tear? Utterly ridiculous.

Terrible Customer Service
The quality of the boots I ordered was good, they were just too wide for my feet. The Customer Service was appalling. Not once did the company apologise for the inconvenience that was caused, I had to send numerous emails asking for help. The Isle of Wight does not have an EVRI depot, I asked Naturacontact to arrange a collection but they said I had to do it, this was not possible. Eventually I returned the boots by Royal Mail. Naturacontact still deducted the £5 for returning them. I would not risk ordering from this company again.

All in all nice shoes
All in all nice shoes! Got the leather-opt hiking shoes.
Took a few days of walking to make them comfortable, at the beginning I had problems with the upper rim of the shoes scratching my ankles, but now they're good
Presentation/Product Poor
Presentation/Product appearance is a joke - one slip of tissue in the box to package, box crushed. Colour sent changed after adding the additional insoles to the order. shame as the product itself is good. if it wasn't needed right away for a gift i would have returned

Poor quality, not waterproof, poor customer service
I bought a pair of 'waterproof ' walking boots for over £90. The first outing, walking through short damp grass, confirmed that they are no more waterproof than my slippers, my feet were sodden! I contacted them and they simply told me that they are waterproof, clearly a lie. They refused to refund or replace them. I couldn't afford to replace the boots so had to buy some waterproof socks to make them usable. Despite this, after a couple of weeks of gentle use on dryish days, the sole is now falling off. Very poor quality boots, very poor customer service, do not buy these if you intend to wear them outside!

Customer service outstanding.
Customer service outstanding re having to return first pair due to my error in ordering the wrong size. Replacement pair fit perfectly and are great to wear. Will buy again in the future.
Everything went smoothly
Everything went smoothly from order to arrival.
They have a good grip which is good as i do wander outdoors in them
The slippers are warm and now they have been used not tight which is good
Love the shoes
Love the shoes, my first barefoot shoes. Very warm and comfortable for winter. Delivered the following day after ordering. The only problem I’ve found is that socks ride down in the shoes which means I can’t walk very far in them without having to stop and pull up my socks.
Superb customer service
Superb customer service
I have bought quite a few shoes from NaturContact and have always been very pleased with both products and customer service. For the first time, there was an issue with the shoes I had bought recently. I contacted Customer Service with my query. They replied very quickly the next day and sorted out a replacement pair straightaway too. Everyone at the other end of my emails is friendly, understanding and very efficient. Thank you in particular to Magnus and Emily !
ordering was easy
ordering was easy, purchase received quickly, can't give a review yet of the actual product it is a gift and I have not given it to the recipient yet. Will update once he opens it and lets me know how much he loves them. The funny thing is I put the same boots on my wish list for him so hopefully I can give both reviews at the same time if he gets them for me too lol.
I have three pairs of these shoes
I have three pairs of these shoes. They are very comfortable and they relieve bodily discomfort in more ways than one. It feels like I have no shoes on but my feet stay warm.
