Very clear and easy to purchase and set up. As a parent of the student I've been very impressed with the support and resources available.

Good, would of been nice for support in the best qualification needed for purpose. I could of had a better route given for what I needed.

Really pleased with my decision to choose NEC for studying A level Chemistry. The introduction and orientation has been clear and thorough and I like the way the online learning environment is set out with section headings and bookmarks down the left-hand side but also each webpage within each topic has got a 'Next' button at the bottom which leads you onwards in a straightforward flow. There is a checklist at the start of each section where you can tick off the required work as you do it - watching a video, doing a chapter from the textbook, completing a worksheet, etc, and also some of the boxes are for my tutor to tick after she's received my work due for assessment. My tutor got in touch via email on the day I paid my fee to say hello. She marked my introductory assignment very quickly and gave helpful and encouraging feedback and I am due to have a Skype tutorial with her soon to discuss my aims for the course and my study schedule. I haven't booked an exam place yet as it's too early but it all seems very straightforward and I will be notified by Student Support when it's time. The discussion forum is well-used and I can see lots of ongoing discussions between students and with tutors about Chemistry in general and questions about particular parts of the course that I will return to and read when I reach that bit. My personal tutor and the course author are both very experienced in distance learning tuition and highly qualified in Chemistry. Based on my first four weeks I would highly recommend NEC.

I’m almost half way through the Fast Track Biology A Level. The course is all nicely structured out for you with deadlines and checklists for each section which makes it easy to follow along. This is brilliant as it means you can just focus on the content. The study materials are of a high quality and the tutors are very helpful, always on hand to answer any questions. I would highly recommend this course!

I have been very impressed with my son's further math course so far. He is very pleased with the way the mathematics course is structured. We hope to get an A* in the exam. Excellent work NEC team!

1 The courses are very expensive, that limits student's options to take more courses.

2 It will be very helpful if the student's account be more specific and more organised that gives he/she less time to browse and more time to study.

3 Video calls from teachers will be great so students can listen to explanations and to exams techniques.

Started with this school in September. One of my sons is doing A levels, and the other is doing GCSE's.

I cannot fault the school. Their student support is excellent - very quick, and their courses are well put together. The only gripe I have is with the Spanish GCSE book. The book is fine, but it lessens the seamlessness of NEC courses that I have experienced, to have to go to another website, and log in again with different details. That's inconvenient.

Apart from that, top notch. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of home-schooling their kids, as long as the kids have some level of self-discipline.

Tutors are nice and friendly. And student support replies back quickly when you write an email or call. They are really nice too :)

Best thing I have ever done.Excellent structured course with first class support. Cannot praise this service enough. I am sure with the help of bed I will be able to fulfil my life's ambition of studying for a degree in classics.

My daughter has started studying GCSE Astronomy - its not a widely available course but its available at NEC and broken down into manageable ordered chunks. Having a tutor means she can ask questions if there is anything dificult to understand.

We have purchased an Art History A Level for my daughter through the NEC. The online course is very well organised and delivered and we have found it excellent. The NEC were very helpful when we booked the course. We found booking through the website challenging as the website is not that user friendly, however, we phoned up to make the booking and payment and the staff at the NEC were knowledgeable and helpful and the process was smooth.
My daughter is enjoying the course and the tutor who marks the assignments is excellent.

They really walk you through the topics, and if you’re ever stuck you can always ask about a question and so many people who’ll help you answer it!
The interface is also relatively easy to navigate, so you’re unlikely to get lost and if you do you can always go to the home page and start again.
You do need to have a good amount of discipline to complete the topics because otherwise you won’t get them done.

It was quite confusing at first on how to submit your assignments and how the website works I wish there was an email that was sent to explain how to use the website properly. Therefore I submitted my assignments late. But other than that it was good.

Very helpful at all times. Answered all queries rapidly . We have just started with A levels and Gcse’s and so far all has gone very smoothly.

I would like to thank the team of NEC for being so helpful in all aspects since my daughter enrolment and her experience throughout her Spanish A Level.
I highly recommend NEC as an option to grow academically and personally.
