The service you provided (title transfer) was fine. I have not yet received the documents from the DMV, but have received the electronic docs that I can print out as proof of ownership and registration.

The less good part of your service delivery is that it feels vaguely predatory that your link shows up in a web search above the actual DMV's and that the 10x cost of your service over the DMV's is not clearly described.

Like MANY of the reviews online of NeedTags, I felt a bit tricked into using your service and feel sort of dumb for not having recognized that I was not dealing directly with the DMV until I had officially agreed to use your service.

As someone who helps companies design their service experiences, I would strongly recommend that you employ a principle of transparency in every interaction. After reading the many negative reviews, I sent a message to your customer service asking for the cost of your service, and to their credit, they responded quickly saying it was $149 (the DMV charges $15, which incidentally, I still need to pay as part of using your service).

I would also recommend that you reassess the cost of your services. There is quite literally nothing that justifies an additional $149 for each and every transaction. It just is inappropriate and will ultimately create a reputation that puts your organization out of business.

I lost my title and NeedTags.com not only expedited the process of getting it, but the ease of doing business and the fact I didn't have to go to the DMV was invaluable! I missed a field on the original paperwork and Jane not only made the missing requirements very clear but was super prompt in responding to my email(s). I highly recommend NeedtTags.com!!!

NeedTags pays for top of the list positioning in a google search. Without noticing I just plowed forward with a title transfer and re-reg after private party purchase.
I paid the up front fee of $149. Thinking it was half of the payment of $320. Come to find out the $149 was NeedTag's fee for services.
It's my fault for not paying close enough attention.
So, buyer beware! Fees are BIG!

I thought I had paid for my car registration renewal with the California DMV. I am entirely at fault for not double-checking the URL before doing business with this so-called business. DMV says that the car registration was renewed- at least they got that part right. However, the first sticker got lost in the mail, and at this point, I won't see the second sticker since it's been over a week since I requested the free replacement sticker. I usually get the sticker within 48 hours. I will wait a few weeks, report them stolen, and then pay another fee for the replacement sticker. This whole ordeal will cost me over $200 for total nonsense. I did not save any time. Stay away from this business!

I paid this rediculous amount thinking i could just upload photos of documents and it would be taken care of right away. I have a car on hold and need the pink slip for trade in, and AFTER PAYING they tell you that you need to send them a photo of your drivers liscence and original registration before they will process it. This is BS!

I was concerned using an outside agency to transfer title. I actually thought I was communicating with the DMV before I paid. Once the payment went through I realized my mistake, but since I had already paid, I went through with it. Your team was extremely understanding of my concerns and was very helpful. They took great care of me and I was able to transfer the title easier than any other title I've transferred using the DMV website or in person. Excellent customer service, thank you.

Quick & Easy to pay registration fees online.

I paid registration late and it was completely my fault. I saw the fees and proceeded anyways. To all the people complaining, you don't have to pay online. You can mail in your registration. That is what I usually do. However, since I was late, I chose to pay online. The fees are presented to you before you check out. I have a printout and an emailed receipt. Anyone telling you they are charged extra after the fact are embellishing their experience because they are angry they didn't pay attention or they were unable to get the fees waived after the fact. Sorry, not sorry. I appreciate this service. It may cost extra but I did not have to mail my reg with tracking or wait an extraneously long time for the tags. Thumbs up for me.

I will never go into DMV again! Super fast service!

NeedTags was great because I didn't have to deal with CA DMV, where the lines are long and instructions confusing. The NeedTags' explanations and instructions were clear (using commonplace English) and to the point, unlike the bureaucratic prose that appears in DMV documents. Also, NeedTags corrected my errors and gave me the simplest way to fix them.

appreciate the prompt email communications. it's much better to communicate via email, in my opinion, especially for those at work! email also provides an easy to search and archive record.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Esperanza from NeedTags.com, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience. This company claims to be "officially licensed by the DMV" but that is NOT what the DMV says. After realizing that a number of fees had been added to our total, my husband contacted the DMV and they said that this is not legitimate, and we were lucky that they had actually forwarded our money onto the DMV so we will still get our tags. If we had gone directly to the dmv.ca.gov site we would have saved $80!!! BEWARE!
