Efficient. Thoughtful. Good use of technology to simplify and aid processes. Proactive.
Jude is fantastic - very proactive, conscientious, diligent, approachable and helpful. We never had to wait long for a response, we were always kept up to date, and we were given the odd friendly nudge when appropriate. Service was fast, efficient and there were no nasty surprises. Top notch, would highly recommend (and have done).

Best solicitors we have ever dealt with. Easy to reach, responsive, so, so hardworking ( our solicitor was often in the office late in the evening and once even came on a Saturday to meet us for a signature. If we ever need a solicitor again, we know who we are going to!
The team gave excellent service. Communication was clear and regular, the work was conducted to a high standard and in a most effective manner. I would recommend Nelson Myatt to anyone looking for solicitor to carry out their conveyancing.
My husband and I instructed Nelson Myatt to deal with a number of conveyancing transactions on our behalf, unfortunately something went wrong with the sale of our then home and we had cause to complain. In our opinion the complaint was dealt with very poorly by one of the partners Andrew Nelson and the tone of his correspondence we found to be dismissive, accusatory and distressing for us and left my husband and I feeling very upset and totally let down.
Andrew Nelson initially blamed the Land Registry for what went wrong. But after the Land Registry Legal Team provided evidence that they weren’t at fault he then shifted the blame to my husband and I, and said that we provided wrong documentation, even though the Land Registry Legal Team confirmed there was nothing wrong with the documents provided to Nelson Myatt by us. If I hadn’t raised this as an issue with the Land Registry themselves, which they simply resolved for £45 it would have added over £1000 plus billable hours to our bill if we had accepted the advice from our appointed solicitor Esther Alawode. We expected more professionalism and transparency from a solicitors practice.
A complaint is an opportunity to try and put things right, but all it did was make things worse, and left us not being able to trust solicitors again. The worst thing for us was that they withheld the interest that they received whilst holding our sale proceeds in their Client Account before we completed on the purchase of our new home, and we have not to this day been given an explanation as to why or an apology for withholding our money, which is morally wrong in our view. They only paid this money to us 6 months later after me raising a complaint and asking Andrew Nelson several times as part of my complaint.
They also failed to register the ownership of our new home correctly at the Land Registry and I had to chase them for an update even though the Land Registry confirmed completion in October 24, which was over 5 months ago. They then submitted an application to rectify the error without having the courtesy to advise my husband and I, and it was only the fact that we are registered for property alerts with the Land Registry that we knew about it. These are not the actions of a professional solicitors firm.
There is lots more that I could say but the bottom line is you need to be able to trust a solicitor to act in your best interests and deliver the right outcome, unfortunately they did not deliver the right outcome for us, and I had to refer to the Land Registry myself who ultimately rectified the situation and saved us a great deal of money. Unfortunately for us our trust was misplaced in this firm to our detriment and I would not recommend their conveyancing services to anyone. My advice to Nelson Myatt is “do better”.
We have recently started to us your services and in particular Jude Grey who is always available and top notch in her friendly advice.
