NewbyCore. Definitely recommend.

All too often, those involved with Mental Health Support can be seen as coming from a somewhat selfish perspective.
Dubious about a company I didn’t know, but who were passed on to me as being “the people to go to” I went in with (hopefully) an open mind.
I was NOT disappointed!
Professional, engaging, well balanced, customer and community focused. I look forward to any future works with them.

Pre course support: outstanding.
Venue: perfect. (Very well selected)
Course interaction: the ideal amount.
Course level: beautifully judged by a very skilful trainer.
Materials: spot on.
Post course support: enduring. Definitely NOT in it for a quick sell. NewbyCore are a company whose principles, skills and approach to partnership working, I will continue to endorse.

If you are considering a company to help with consultation or culture and wellbeing - you would be WELL served to give them a call.

The teaching styles was varied and some I loved and some Not so much but I suppose their has to be a bit for everyone. Tutor was flexible to all our learning needs and brought his own experiences to the training.

Engaging, relevant and professional

I'm a support provider in Edinburgh and I completed the FAA Level 3 Supervising First Aid for Mental Health with Newbycore in September 2019.
Training courses can be tedious and tiresome, but Scott's delivery and content made sure everyone stayed engaged and that we left confident in our new skills.
Mental health can be a difficult topic, but Scott's delivery of such a difficult subject matter was interactive, interesting and most importantly relevant.
I met a diverse group of people and organisations and have made some contacts locally to share our experiences.
I would definitely recommend this course to anyone dealing with mental health, either workplace or frontline support delivery.
This course explains how to tackle those difficult conversations essential in supporting others.
Great job guys, thanks!

Hugely worthwhile!
I wasn't sure what to expect from the course but came away feeling far better informed and more able to support friends, family and colleagues suffering with poor mental health.
Scott is really personable and creates a really warm and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable discussing difficult topics and sharing their own stories/experiences.
I thoroughly enjoyed the course and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Absolutely loved my Level 3 Supervising Mental Health First Aid course with NewbyCore!

All staff were very professional from the outset. I never felt under pressure at all and Scott our instructor was great!

I think when you have an instructor that is passionate about what he does and has experience struggling with his own mental health, it makes to listen better and respect the instructor that is teaching you.

Great guy, great course, I would recommend this company to anyone.
