NLBM helped make the difference!

I have been with NLBM since late 2022, coming from a multiple area law practice with no real focus. Learning estate planning and developing a structured business with the guidance and support of NLBM has been a huge impact for me! I’m still growing and learning and excited about the journey. The 1st WEEK of 2025, I had $17K in sales and provided excellent legal support for my clients!

Love New Law Business Model

I've been practicing estate planning for more than 20 years. I joined New Law Business Model four months ago. I wish I had joined long ago. The information they give me and their systems and processes are second to none. I am certain I will be getting many more clients and making a lot more money because of NLBM.

Joining NLBM was like going from black…

Joining NLBM was like going from black and white TV to full color TV. So many pieces fell together. I had read and studied estate planning practice guides, but still couldn’t see the whole picture until I learned the way to care for clients, how to ask them the right questions and how to run the actual business.

Great Platform to Build an Estate Planning Practice

I first heard about New Law in 2019, and I was intrigued. I signed up for the boot camp and I felt like I was drinking from a fire hose a bit. It was a lot to learn, both the law and the business aspect. Now I've been with New Law for several years and it is an incredible community and resource. With the guidance of New Law, I've built a profitable practice from nothing. There are many facets to membership. There are mentor attorneys who have been practicing for a long time who can advise on legal issues or point you in the right direction. There is business coaching which covers everything from marketing to hiring to client engagement to streamlining expenses and automating procedures. And there is the peer-to-peer aspect, where friendships are built. We all help each other out. It's not just collegial; it's like a family. I know that everyone at New Law is there for me to help me succeed and have a practice that I love and a practice that is truly of service to my community. And the leadership at New Law is always developing new tools and systems that we can use to better serve our clients. The leadership is always asking us what we want, so the ideas are coming from the perspective of practicing attorneys. I recommend it without hesitation. And I recommend patience with yourself and with the program as you take it on. I think it's typical to take a while to learn everything and figure out how it will work with your current law practice. But if you keep with it, it will pay off. I have a practice I love.

Money Well Spent

I have been a proud member of NLBM for nearly two years. After a long hiatus from practicing law, I decided to return and pursue Estate Planning, which I felt was the perfect fit for me. I launched my own practice a little over a year and a half ago, and it has steadily grown and improved, largely due to the invaluable guidance and resources provided by NLBM.

NLBM has equipped me with a wealth of tools not only to master Estate Planning law but, more importantly, to build a thriving business. Their comprehensive support in key areas—marketing, client acquisition, client service, legal education, coaching, and mentoring—has been extraordinary. It has truly been one of the best investments I’ve made. I can’t imagine where my practice would be today without the NLBM community.

Great way to transition from another legal practice to estate planning

I spent 28 years as a personal injury litigator. I loved my practice. A family tragedy suddenly changed things for me and PI became untenable because it hit too close to home. The same tragedy, along with the aftermath of dealing with probate courts and not having an estate plan, led me to feel that too many people didn't have plans. I lucked upon NLBM to provide training for me as I worked to transition into estate planning. NLBM provides training (and support) in the law, in how to structure my firm, in how to market my services, and in how to manage my time. I would have never made the transition if it had not been for this opportunity. The cost of entry may seem steep, but I knew if all I got out of it was my own plan, it would be worth it. Hundreds of clients later, it was well worth the investment.

Ten stars for the right fit

I have been with NLBM since 2019 and have built my solo practice to become more than I hoped for. I have never seen an organization or leadership team so aligned and responsive to core values and integrity. When people reach out to me and ask about my experience, especially about the price compared to other options out there, I always think back to a promise I made to myself. Every month I would give myself a gut check and ask myself if I received that amount in value, or if I was able to engage a client I otherwise would not have, or if I was able to price my services in a manner that paid for the membership that month. If I went three months without passing the gut check I would reconsider my membership. Without fail, NLBM always passes and continues to pass the gut check. Not just that, but I can say sincerely that I would not be in business right now without their support, resources, community, and coaching, being a solo is just too lonely and too hard. The personal development I have experienced has empowered me to become the best version of myself personally, not just professionally. I love the community non profits, government and bar committees I am part of, I am not just an EP lawyer, I am a vibrant professional woman heading into my 50s. I will not be invisible. I will be relevant. I wouldn’t say NLBM is for everyone, it is for a certain type of person, I think someone needs to be very thoughtful about the kind of personality they have and what their core values are before they commit. I absolutely can tell if someone won’t be a good fit. That should be the question if someone is disappointed in their results. It isn’t the system or the process, it likely has more to do with the individual fit.

Highly recommended for EP attorneys!

I've been using NLBM's services since 2021 and I can't imagine having started my own Estate Planning solo law firm without their support. They provide more than just education - but an entire community of kind and caring lawyers who will go out of their way to help you. I'm so grateful for this community and this company. I know they are genuinely invested in my success!

Before New Law I was barely making it...

Before I joined New Law I was really struggling to get my estate planning practice off the ground. I found that it was a much different business model than the litigation business model I'd had for 15 years and so I finally reached out for support. With New Law's help, I was able to go from total revenue of $500 one month (doing just one will) to $35k-$40k per month consistently in one year. The team is fabulous and will do anything to help you. And the other members are so wonderful! Everyone supports each other, across state lines and in your own jurisdiction.

Complete waste of money/worthless

Complete waste of money. I paid their ridiculous $7000, which is just to watch videos about estate planning. But later changed my mind and did not want this service and asked for my money back. They refused. They didn't care that I didn't want their service anymore, they just wanted my money.

We do not have a record of an "Eddie" purchasing a product for $7,000 and asking for a refund, nor do we have a $7,000 product that only includes videos on estate planning.

All of our programs are supported by practice management advisors, coaches, and a support team to ensure that every lawyer who joins us gets the support needed to turn their law practice into a business they love with Life & Legacy Planning.

If you did not receive the promised support from our program, please email me directly to alikatz at newlawbusinessmodel dot com with your full name, and I will look into this personally.

A New Start

Litigation was not for me. But coming out of law school that’s what you think being an attorney is. And a litigation job is probably the only job that will higher an attorney with no experience. I quickly found out that the constant fighting and adversarial nature of it all were detrimental to my mental health.

I needed a new way of practicing law. Luckily I found New Law Business Model. They teach you a method of running a legal practice that specializes is estate planning. But it’s more than that. You will learn about yourself, your wants, needs and goals.

By teaching you how to run an estate planning law firm using their model you get the tools to practice the way you want. Achieve a work life balance, gain worthwhile experience, and most importantly be financially independent.

I would recommend New Law Business Model to anyone looking to start their own law practice and interested in estate planning. It can be new start to your legal career.

Helped Me Create My Dream Job

I think every attorney realizes in their career that being an attorney is awful and (in most cases) an unsatisfying career. NLBM helped me turn my passion of wanting to help families into a success legal practice in Estate Planning. NLBM has the tools, staff, and resources to help me stay focus, learn to adapt to the market, be successful, and (most importantly) ENJOY my life and my work. Thank you to the NLBM team!

Better options in more Professional Places

Do yourself a favor and get wealth counsel for start up. It’s cheaper, less spam, more professional and excellent customer service.

NLBM is riddled with misspellings poor grammar, poor customer service and downright shady billing practices. Everything available to you with NLBM can be found in more professional places such as wealth counsel, elder counsel and Atticus for coaching.

We are so sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with our program, though the dissatisfaction is curious given your use of our licensed resources on your website. While the independent tools referenced do work to support lawyers for specific pieces of building an estate planning law practice, the NLBM programs are structured as a whole system and methodology around attracting, enrolling, and serving clients. None of the services you mention help lawyers to learn to serve clients or build their practice the way that we teach with the full scope of training in a new practice model for serving families + implementation + coaching + marketing + personalized practice automation.

But we understand our program isn’t for everyone. It takes a firm commitment from our lawyers to practice law in a new way. We are 100% dedicated to our client’s success and as such have a No-Fail Guarantee:

"We promise to do everything in our power to not let you fail. If you are still not engaging clients — after 90 days for Life & Legacy Planning Program and 180 days for Life & Legacy Planning Program with Strategic Business Advisor Upgrade — and you are doing the work you committed to in the Pledge (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PE038BQOIu4KwCZiPinhsehw6rfY_58WZ-OT5a7CucQ/#heading=h.bwnbzgka9e1g), we will continue to mentor and coach* you until you’ve engaged your first two paying clients, giving you the confidence to know you can recoup the cost of your investment."

* With an extension of your complimentary Mentorship & Coaching Subscription which includes access to the forum, group coaching calls, and 1:1 coaching with a Core Program Coach.

We wish you success in the future as you grow your practice independently and if you are interested in restarting your membership down the road don’t hesitate to reach out to us at support@newlawbusinessmodel.com. Thanks!

No more sawdust!

I love how Alexis teaches! I wish law schools taught us how to be attorneys instead of driving us nutty with useless assignments and exams. I felt like I was just eating sawdust in law school—the material was so dry with no nutritional value. In contrast, Alexis teaches lawyers their true purpose; how to inform, educate, and empower clients—a truly vitamin-rich curriculum! It’s the difference between life and death for me.

NLBM provides a nearly-turnkey model…

NLBM provides a nearly-turnkey model for a law practice, with substantive law materials, expert guidance, marketing materials, and constant refinement of best practices, both for the NLBM team and for all of its members.
It was a great solution for me, as I had the network to bring in clients, and mostly needed the substantive materials and framework to conduct the practice. It is a lot of material to absorb, and the implementation can be confusing at first, but the support is definitely there to get it all worked out.
