What a grubby little company. Don't attempt to pay your parking charge by phone. Their system doesn't answer and the time ticks away making them a profit. You then get a surprise when your mobile bill... See more

Very dangerous organisation

This is a very dangerous, shameless and scandalous organisation taking control of schools with vulnerable children.
When staff make errors they hide the evidence. They lie in their reports and they refuse to send meeting minutes that would prove their deception. They make sure no one records their meetings in am audio device. So when parents have safe guarding concerns for thie vulnerable children, NEST work tirelessly to cover up amd protect their reputation instead of addressing the concerns and rectifying a breakdown of trust. Do NOT risk sending your child particularly a vulnerable child to any school governed by NEST. Shameless criminals who thrive off the fact they can have total control without any accountability

Unethical

Unethical. Neglected to put my disabled badge on my car. Not great I agree but I’ve not long had it and got a lot to deal with (obviously) explained this and shared the pass with a genuine apology. Still charged. Find this discrimination but don’t have the energy sadly to take it to Popla. Disgusting company lacking in morals and decency.

Absolute joke

Second time in last few mo the I’ve tried to use metro service. Each time either delayed by over an hour or no service running. No wonder people don’t use public transport, absolute joke.
No wonder people choose to use cars.

The Metro is shocking

Hopeless Metro system. Nothing runs on time, no lifts or escalators work, the same excuses of an 'old fleet of trains' are trotted out. The 'Pop app' is diabolical, and half the ticket machines don't work. So other than not knowing when the trains come, not being able to buy a ticket, and not being able to get there on time it's a good system!!

Thieves!!!

Thieves!!!
I paid for a month's pass and due to a technical issue within the Nexus system (confirmed by Nexus over the phone), my ticket was not loaded onto my pop card. The money HAD left my bank.

Because of this, I received a fine. I appealed but the fine stood and the only reasoning I got was essentially "You received a fine so the fine sticks and I should have bought another day ticket"
I couldn't afford to buy another ticket!!

The metro is a joke!!!!

I would give 0 stars if possible

I would give 0 stars if possible! Awful experience! An exploiting company who target vulnerable people, i.e. students in the cost of living crisis. Your rule about having proof of a paper copy ticket is bewildering. I misplaced mine...what about if somebody is mugged. No care, no respect no justice. Quite possibly the worst travel company ever.

Awful service

Awful service. No communication. A simple system but awfully ran. Excuses excuses all the time. Yes the trains may not be up to scratch, so run less, but change your timetable so people know what is happening. Bailed out by a good taxi service to stop the complaints. Stop the government funding. Throwing the money into a bad system and management team.

Yet again

Yet again, the metro service has collapsed. Saturday evening on a match day and they are operating a reduced service. We're constantly lied to and treated with utter contempt. Waiting for a train that has apparently been due for 10 minutes. After already being nearly half an hour late. Why the people who are supposed to be in charge are still employed is beyond me.

This is without doubt the worst light…

This is without doubt the worst light rail network in the country. For years it has been plagued with unreliable trains for which Nexus say spare parts are no longer available and they are attempting to refurbish/canabilise parts to keep the fleet running. This has led to numerous train failures and service cancellations for years. New trains are slowly being delivered but are not yet in service their introduction being delayed several times. I do not doubt the problems in trying to keep the 40 yr old plus trains running but my question is why has it taken so long to procure new trains? Nexus must have seen the problems coming. How hard and for how long did they lobby for new trains. When these new trains enter service I am sure reliability will improve but.........It is not just trains that are the problem with this system. Expensive fares, signal failures, points failures, overhead line problems, power failures, dirty cold stations with no facilities, lifts and escalators out of order frequently and taking months to repair, vandalism and theft of cabling/equipment and while the latter is not the fault of Nexus where is security for the system? The same applies to fare dodging and anti social behaviour. Every single day there are problems with this network and not just fleet related. Today a points failure at the deport has caused system wide delays. Nexus claim that Tyne & Wear Metro is the busiest network outside of London. I doubt this by choice or quality of the network rather poor local transport alternatives and lower car ownership. I now use the Metro only when I really have no alternative so if you can, avoid, avoid, avoid.

What Timetable ?Finally snapped to write this

Finally snapped to write this ! No idea why they bother to publish timetables. Every time I check and attend stations, every train over the past year has been at least ten minutes late. Today, I turned up at 1558 for he 1605 and train was pulling out ! Next train seven minutes after the one I turned up early for. Absolute garbage service at premium prices£5.20 return to travel 6 miles each way and they still can’t turn up on schedule. What is the point of a timetable if you can’t actually adhere to it ? I avoid metro as much as possible now which is no exactly going green or reducing traffic but with a service this poor at no real cost saving, the Tyneside Metro system is a joke !

Customer service on phones is…

Customer service on phones is horrendous they hardly help you. No compassion from customer service. Loads of anti social behaviour on trains especially in Tyne and Wear they never have enough staff on and so you can’t get enough assistance the pop card is the worst.

The state of Britain.

Over priced.
Always late.
Utterly vile, lack of cleanliness.
Security and safety issues as it serves the hearts of all the council estates.

Just a pure insight into the health of British society.
