Review of NH Porto Jardim hotel
Stayed at the NH Porto Jardim hotel - an EasyJet hotel. Very good - lovely staff, good breakfasts, spotless rooms, quiet & functional. Only a short walk from Porto’s sights.
A Truly Wonderful Experience from Start to Finish
My stay at NH Collection Copenhagen was truly fantastic from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed by warm, friendly staff who made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. The service felt personal, attentive, and professional throughout my entire stay.
The food was a wonderful highlight, especially the breakfast, which offered a great selection of fresh, high-quality options for every taste. You can really tell that attention to detail and quality are important here.
The room was modern, cozy, and extremely comfortable. The bed was amazing, and the calm atmosphere made it easy to relax after a day exploring Copenhagen. Everything was spotless and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind.
Overall, I felt truly taken care of during my stay. The combination of outstanding staff, excellent service, delicious food, and beautiful rooms makes this hotel a place I would happily return to. Highly recommen
NH Strandgade
NH Strandgade, Copenhagen. Nothing compares🙏🏼♥️ The most carrying and kind staff, very rare kind of generous. I will never again book any other hotel when visiting Copenhagen. This is the place to stay🥇

Very unprofessional staff
The hotel rooms are great but watch out…
The Schiphol Airport hotel rooms are great but watch out for hotel staff exploiting customers with taxi booking scams.
Wonderful staff, lovely hotel
We have just ended our stay at NH Amistad in Cordoba, in Andalucia. What a fabulous hotel in a fabulous city. I always say the staff make any business and the staff at this hotel, all of them from Reception, to Housekeeping, to restaurant were absolutely lovely. Speaking languages, smiling, couldn’t do enough to make sure our stay was enjoyable and comfortable, just a super experience. The hotel itself was beautiful and very comfortable, highly recommend, will return, thank you

We got robbed
This is the first time that such an incident happened and we are frequent travelers
Me and my husband where in Hannover for one night to go to do some check ups in the hospital,
In the morning before going to the hospital we wanted to have breakfast, the receptionist said this is our restaurant on the left ,
And would you like to keep your bag with me in the reception,
And thinking that it was normal ,
Any respected responsible hotel ,
That is done casually,
We stayed half an hour,
Upon leaving we asked for a taxi and our luggage
The receptionist said I can’t find it
The police came saw the cameras
A man was waiting outside the hotel
With his phone
Came in got our bag and left while we were in the restaurant.
Impossible to book no phone for hotel
The booking process is technically unstable. I have been charged via Apple Pay. I received no confirmation email, so i called the hotel number. My hotel is NH Gare Bologna but the whole process was a mess of re directions and ended up in a call centre
Am now going to email them .

Extremely Poor Guest Service at NH…
Extremely Poor Guest Service at NH Hotel Copenhagen:
I’ve traveled extensively across the world — and without hesitation, I can say that NH Hotel Copenhagen delivered the worst guest service I’ve ever experienced.
⸻
Room Service:
Despite calling multiple times after placing an in-app order that was missing a bread basket, no one ever answered or returned my calls. I eventually had to report the issue to reception in person while leaving the hotel.
I even tried contacting room service at various times across different days — yet still received no response at all.
⸻
Laundry Service:
On a separate occasion, I needed to send laundry — but again, no one picked up the phone after repeated attempts. I had to personally go down and hand the clothes to reception.
⸻
Food Delivery Incident:
When I ordered food from an external restaurant, I was notified that it had arrived, but no one delivered it to my room. I tried to call reception — no answer.
I went downstairs to collect it. On my way out, I realized I had forgotten my phone, so I returned to my room — but the key card no longer worked.
At reception, my food was sitting unattended on a table. I politely said, “This is my food.” The staff member replied, “Okay, take it.” When I tried to explain something, he cut me off and told me to stand in line with guests who hadn’t even checked in yet. He never listened.
When I asked to speak with the shift manager, he told me: “I am the shift manager — just wait.”
I explained I simply needed my key card reactivated — a 10-second task. He walked away mid-conversation, came back two minutes later, and said, “Now I have time for you.”
Out of nowhere, he told me: “You need to respect others.”
As I was expressing my frustration using natural hand gestures, he coldly said, “Put your hand down when you talk to me.”
I replied: “I’m not going to put my hand down while I’m speaking — what are you going to do?”
He responded: “Nothing.”
When I said I’d leave a bad review, he mockingly replied, “Perfect. Thank you.”
He asked for ID, and I told him I didn’t have it on me because all my belongings were upstairs. He asked again before giving me the new card, and I explained that the room was registered under this name.
To this day, the missing bread basket was never delivered.
If this had been the other way around — if a guest failed to pay — I imagine the hotel would pursue them for the smallest charge. Yet when it’s the hotel’s responsibility? Silence.
Even worse — the staff member never once smiled or apologized. He appeared visibly annoyed.
And when I first said “This is my food,” he didn’t even verify my identity. What if I had claimed someone else’s order?
⸻
Additionally, there was a separate discriminatory incident during check-in when my sister politely asked for umbrellas. That alone deserves a formal complaint.
This hotel fails at every level: service, communication, and basic decency.
I strongly urge NH Hotel Copenhagen to retrain its front desk staff, especially those in managerial roles, on how to treat paying guests with respect and professionalism.
NH Collection milano Touring - good beds great restaurant
We were guests at the NH Collection Milano Touring last month. We belong to NH and have almost always enjoyed the hotels. This one was quite nice except for the eternally long wait to check in, with no place to sit when one is exhausted after a long trip. That was very uncomfortable and something better must be done.
Our Deluxe Room was smaller than expected, but perfectly clean, with NH's usual comfortable beds. We were advised to keep the windows shut to avoid mosquitoes (!), so we had a bit of trouble adjusting the air conditioner, but it worked out well in the end. Some NH hotels now offer minibars that are elevated, not right on the floor. We wished this one would have done that.
That evening we dined at the bar, as per the suggestion of the friendly and careful bartender.
We were very, very pleasantly surprised at the risotto allo zafferano and the cottoletta alla milanese, both authentic receipes and wonderfully prepared by the Camelia's Yard Restaurant.
Just a quick note about the staff: everyone was lovely and helpful, and in particular Emanuella and Giacomo, both young breakfast room staff members. Many compliments to them.
We stayed four days at the NH in Paris…
We stayed four days at the NH in Paris at the Gare de L'Est. This was certainly one of the most unpleasant hositality experiences ever, worldwide. Nobody from NH informed about construction work in the hotel, nobody enlightened us to the fact that there isn't a service elevator and all the construction needs to use the ONE elevator going to the upper floors, condensate from the A/C ran into the cabinet and soiled our clothes, and the worst: The rude and incompetent check-in, check-out staff! Navarra Hotels? Never again in my lifetime!
Good location and service
We stayed at the NH Porto Jardin Hotel and the staff where very helpful. We had a superior room which was very clean and spacious. The room was at the back of the hotel so very quiet. The breakfast had a great variety of food to suit everyone. The access to Porto central was a 10 minute walk. The tour buses just around the corner and the Vehicular, such a good position to explore the city.
Very bad experience Rotterdam hotel
What we booked and asked for was three single beds. We got a double bed and sofa bed. When I showed the staff my request and their response, they shrugged their shoulders. No care in the world to three 60+ men. My bach aches and so does my colleagues. Had they responded with, sorry no triple room with single beds available, we could have booked elsewhere where. But no. They were happy to take our heard earned money and give us a room with no air conditioning. Apparently only the super duper rooms have air conditioning. Wonderful. Staff at reception are rude and uncaring. The hotel carpets seem as they have not been hoovered for ages or washed. I have photos of cigarette but on the floor not cleaned since the first morning. Not happy at their attitude or Expedia for again failing in their jobs. Other hotel sites are much better and I will probably never use Expedia again. This attitude does not suit the company and they need to change. They could have given a single room with no cost, but they chose not to and wanted to charge. Again, happy to take our money and then show this crass attitude when we turn up. All the evidence is with me and this will be taken further. They can keep their normal replies of sorry to hear about your trip , we will do better. BS. There is a contract and that was broken by this hotel chain. Not happy at all and will probably have to take medicine for the back aches.
Excellent service
Excellent service, excellent hospitality, very clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone around the world.
Hotel in Palermo on busy motorway
Hotel in Palermo on busy motorway , dual carriage. Air conditioning didn’t keep the room cool but we couldn’t open the windows due to the deafening sound of traffic.( Sea views are the only thing referred to with regard to the hotels situation.) The room temperature became a major problem. Swimming pool closed at Easter despite beautiful weather, this was very disappointing. There is no access to a beach at the other side of the motorway.
Otherwise, staff very helpful and friendly , spotlessly clean rooms , design and lighting soft and subtle. Breakfast good.
Unfortunately, the over heated room and swimming pool closure were major issues and ruined our vacation.
Trip to Köln
Just back from business trip with my husband and daughter. Stayed at NH Collection Hotel Köln Media Park. Had a very nice stay, good hotel, very clean.Good location, 15 minutes walk from town centre.
Lovely soft pillows which I rarely find at hotels. Only negative thing I can say was the room was so warm at night, couldn't open the windows. Great selection at breakfast. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially John, he helped us with everything, where to eat, where to go, what to do, he really made us feel welcome and at home. He was so nice and friendly, like family. 20/10 ..If we ever go to Köln again we will definitely stay there again.
We booked the hotel via Booking.com
We booked the hotel via Booking.com, but 24 hours before our stay, my friend got sick with flu A. We tried to cancel and request a partial refund with a medical certificate, but they declined. Fine.
We then attempted to change the dates to avoid losing the entire amount. Although there was availability on Booking.com for the following week, and despite making two calls—one to the hotel’s reservation center and another to the hotel itself (both of which hung up on me mid-conversation)—they claimed there was no availability!
Can you explain why Booking.com’s system showed availability while the hotel said otherwise? The person who got sick is a mother with a child, and this trip was a gift for her, flying all the way from Washington. It’s very disheartening that businesses see us only as numbers and money, showing so little kindness to people.
“I am extremely disappointed with my…
“I am extremely disappointed with my experience at NH Collection Copenhagen. Despite having sufficient funds in my Danske Bank virtual card, it was not accepted, and I was told a physical card was required. This is an outdated request, and I have never encountered such an issue before. Additionally, I was not allowed to check in until my wife arrived, which caused unnecessary inconvenience. The staff’s response was dismissive, offering only to cancel my booking without any real resolution. For a five-star hotel, this service was far below expectations.
This experience aligns with other guests’ feedback, highlighting issues such as poor management leading to service failures and inadequate customer service. Such recurring problems suggest a systemic issue within the hotel’s operations.
In contrast, other five-star hotels typically offer more flexible solutions in such situations, such as allowing early check-ins, offering alternative payment methods, or providing immediate assistance from management to resolve issues swiftly. This type of customer-centric service is expected at a high-end hotel.”
