I like the staff and the location of the building.
However, sometimes other residents are too noisy.
Another thing I don't like is the size of the studios, they are too small for what we are paying.

Nido Stepney Yard is an all round good accommodation. It’s in a convenient location for nightlife and bars for students, with shops and food places around nearby too. It is not too far a walk from Northumbria uni, and the staff are friendly and quick the respond to emails. The bedrooms are stylish and clean.

The house is amazing and people working there are extremely kind and helpful.

I dislike the reception parcels service, I think it could be better if it was a 24 hour service. Providing more vacuum cleaners would also do good. Cleaning service should be more through prior to moving in.

Good experience with the accommodation for most of the time.

I really liked my experience living in Ashlin House, Cork as the reception staff were always friendly and as I live far away from home they weren’t strict on having people stay over.
The facilities are great in the accomodation and I always felt safe and warm in my accomodation.

Nido is a brilliant accommodation ,very friendly staff!

I am living in Nido Broga House in Cork since three months. I genuinely think that it is the best student accommodation in Cork. The big + is the amazing rooftop from where you can enjoy the sunset with your roommates. The people working here are also really nice and they try their best even if there are still some technical issues sometimes.

Really nice student accommodation in a great location only 5 minutes from UCC main campus. There’s also great study facilities, a function room for events and a really nice gym too! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a place.

nido ashlin house is well located, near the city center and UCC. the staff is always here when you need them. the amenities are in good condition. ashlin house is the perfect place to live!

As a resident living here at NIDO there are several positive and negative experiences we’ve had.

Positives
1. New building which is well insulated. Comfortable and equipped with gym and laundry at a reasonable rate.

2. Access to common areas such as study rooms and kitchen is great for students and professionals.

3. Residents in the building are great, calm and peaceful.

Negatives
1. Cleanliness is a huge problem. I was told that there are cleaners 5 times a week. While there are cleaners, cooking areas and corridors remain dirty for weeks on end. Laundry areas have stuff lying in there for months on the end.

2. Fire alarms go off twice a week and many times at odd hours creating unnecessary anxiety.

3. Nido website has a lot of issues. It shows you are due a huge amount even when we’ve paid even. You have to keep checking to ensure what they are charging you for. Inconsistent information from front desk.

4. Recently, the front desk staff is unhelpful and impolite. They are there only limited times and don’t respond in a helpful manner. They will shift the blame on you and expect you to follow up with different departments.

5. Residents are on their own if stuck or need help.

6. Some apartments are facing dust and air quality issues as they are facing construction sites so beware while choosing what direction your apartment faces.

Overall, the building and facilities are good. However, unclear policies and borderline impolite front desk are a challenge.

Upon arrival at the apartment, there were shoe marks on the floor, remnants of food and stains in the kitchen, and feces stains in the toilet. It's unfortunate that these were some of the things that could be expected on the first move-in day.

You think it is within your rights to ask for compensation, which the first manager agreed to, but never delivered on the promise and took months to respond.
Eventually, the manager was fired, and the new manager stated that the compensation was too much. When you try to have a conversation why 100 euros is too much, when they always give out vouchers. It makes you think if Nido is doing alright, when they can`t even give out that much.
The amount was only 100 euros, which is not enough for the amount of work needed to clean the apartment. And they can`t even give that to their tenants.
The fire alarm goes of constantly. The constant sounding of the fire alarm is likely to have a negative impact on one's hearing. Be ready to go deaf.

Even though there is a cleaner, the common areas are often not cleaned, which is unacceptable given the amount of money paid per month. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. There are cheaper and better alternatives available.

Very helpful with students who are studying abroad. I had a couple packages sent to the wrong address and the front desk was more than happy to track them down and let me know what happened to them. The only downside is that the Nido Broga House does not have a barbell rack in the 24/7 gym.

Nido is a great accomodation, they put on loads of events and the staff always have time for you. Worth the money because the rooms are good, bills are included too.

Been withholding money from me for almost 9 months now, don’t reply to emails despite being given an automatic reply saying that the email has been received. Shocking from management especially when dealing with young people just trying to get by. Can’t refund money but can kit the whole place out with brand new vending machines….
