Scammed by this company in the 5 for 5…
Scammed by this company in the 5 for 5 program. The company that bought them want to wash themselves of any responsibility or commitment to the program, yet continue to use the exact same name and branding to do business. The previous owners were scammers and the new owners are unethical. Do not trust them.
Under new ownership, stay away
Nisolo had a great program, called “Five for Five” in which the customer paid $500 and in exchange unlocked codes for a free pair of shoes every 6 months for 5 years (essentially 10 pairs of shoes for $50 per pair). Unfortunately, Nisolo went into foreclosure in January of 2025. New ownership is refusing to honor the existing Five for Five customers and is instead offering a meager “lifetime 25% discount”. So not only have we lost out of whatever remaining amount was left on our Five for Five membership, but we cannot even use this discount in combination with their other sales.
So much for an ethical company.
SCAM COMPANY
Just another person scammed by Nisolo’s five-for-five program. They only provided 2/10 codes and refuse to provide a refund now that the program has abruptly ended. They offer a 25% coupon code in an “effort to regain trust.” It’s INSULTING to provide a 25% off discount in exchange for failing to provide the other eight codes that I paid for. Buyer beware.
Company doesn't honor their word
Company doesn't honor their word. Lost out on the five for five program.
Do not trust this company
Do not trust this company! Terrible customer service, terrible business practices and stole from hundreds possible thousands of customers.
And their shoes are very uncomfortable and ill fitting!
These guys are the worst.
These guys are the worst.
Do not trust this company they rip people off.
DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY, COMPLETE SCAM. As others mentioned, there are new owners who are not standing behind a customer program in which people paid 500 dollars for 5 shoes and only received 1 or 2. Now, all the company will do is offer a 25% off code. It's upsetting and a complete scam.
Poor quality, worse integrity
First of all- the quality of these shoes has gone downhill over the past 8 years. I have been a long time supporter and really enjoyed these shoes until we were also scammed with the five for five "deal". It is fraud to keep selling/fulfilling orders while so many people have been taken advantage of, without shoes in exchange. At least reimburse people if you aren't going to honor shoe codes. I can't imagine buying from this company again in the future. If they did go out of business and were purchased by another company as the rumor goes, what a poor way to start out, leaving customers defrauded and unfulfilled.
Another scammed 5-for-5er here
Another scammed 5-for-5er here. The kicker is that I had been a loyal Nisolo customer for years, already having spent hundreds of dollars on their shoes because I loved the styles, they were well made, and I believed in the company's purported ethics. So when the 5-for-5 came around I saw it as an opportunity to commit to a company I believed in AND treat future me to some great quality shoes. For those of you who are inclined to say that it was always too good to be true and we bought into an obvious scam: The company had run this program before and honored all its obligations to those customers, so there was no reason to believe it wouldn't be the same this time around.
For me: Code 1 loaded automatically and I was able to use it without a problem. I had to ask for codes 2 & 3, but in all the previous years Nisolo's customer service had been great so I wasn't alarmed by that minor hitch. When I asked for Code 4, I got crickets. When I chased again, I got no response about my code but DID get the form email saying that the program had been discontinued. How skeezy that they never sent me the message about the program being suspended (which I only know about now after reading about everyone else's experience), and they only sent the discontinuation notice *after* I started inquiring about my codes. It's like they were hoping we'd all just...forget...and they could go on pretending they're still the "ethical" company that they claim to be.
The added insult is that they continue to advertise product on their website at DEEPLY discounted rates, so you know they're sitting on inventory. How about letting us use our codes THAT WE'VE ALREADY PAID FOR? It would cost them virtually nothing and at least earn back some goodwill. Their new MO is apparently to screw over their most loyal customers while luring in new fans at unsustainable prices (or, more likely, sacrificing the whole "ethically-made" aspect of their brand by selling inferior-quality shoes made with exploited labor at "amazing sale prices").
Nisolo has given a true MASTERCLASS in how to ruin a brand. Do not support this company.
Fraudulent company
This company is a SCAM!!! Do NOT order from them. No response from customer service. They took money from clients then disappeared the program without letting people know, and without offering any refund.
Nisolo- when are you going to respond to my inquiries and honor the 5 for 5 that I purchased for $500? SCAM and FRAUD.
I loved their shoes but also scammed by them
I loved their shoes but also have only gotten 4 of my 10 pairs of shoes as part of the 5 for 5 program. I emailed in 2024 asking about my code and was told it was suspended until 2025. Emailed again in January 2025 and crickets. Then received a mass email saying the company was no longer honoring the 5 for 5 program…with no mention of refunds. Several more emails send and no reply. I’m very sad that they acted in bad faith. I would not order from them again (even with new ownership).
0 stars
0 stars. Scammy company that stole hundreds of dollars from clients who prepaid for shoes to be delivered, then cancelled the program without issuing any refunds. They’re playing the “under new management” card and now offering lifetime 25% off instead of giving shoes that were already paid for or refunds. Asking for more money from clients they stole from is really telling. Further, the first pair of shoes I got fell apart after 1 wear (driving to work and walking around building was enough to destroy them). That was foreshadowing. Don’t bother, quality is trash, morality around customer care is garbage…
Another 5 for 5 member here
Another 5 for 5 member here. Paid $500 up front for a five year membership that was thrown out when Nisolo LLC foreclosed upon. New ownership, Project Bound Inc, scrubbed mentions of the program from the website and limited means of contact/communication while continuing to operate the brand. Form emails were sent to members saying the resolution would be an 25% discount code only after members initiated contact.
They haven’t even reached out to their…
They haven’t even reached out to their 5 for 5 members to let them know the program has ended and no, you’re not getting your money back. I had to find out from Reddit. I guess they’re hoping people will have forgotten they paid into this scam after they “paused” the program last year. Very disappointed in this company. Don’t waste your money here.
Low quality footwear and do not provide what you purchase
Like everyone else here I purchased the five for five program, two actually. One for me and one for my wife. We received a total of five pairs of shoes. Company is nearly unreachable and is no longer honoring the deal. No refund provided.
Waste of $500
Like everyone else, I signed up for the five for five membership. I received 2 vouchers before they cancelled the program. I’ve reached out to their customer service multiple times and they haven’t responded. Don’t waste your money on this unethical company!
They are scammers
They are scammers. I bought their 5 membership in which I am supposed to get 5 pairs of shoes for 500.00. They sent me an email a year ago saying they have to postpone all code reviews until 2025. Welll, guess what? it's 2025, and still no codes, and they have not repsosded to any texts or emails, and I've been trying for a month to get a hold of them. They are stealing and lying. Avoid at all costs.
Nisolo defrauded me and many others…
Nisolo defrauded me and many others through their five for five company. Do not send this company your money as they do not honor their agreements and will defraud you.
Give me my money
What the hell! They stole my money! I paid $500 for their 5 for 5 program and they shut it down and I didn't even get my shoes 😡😡😡😡
Got scammed by their 5 for 5 deal
Got scammed by their 5 for 5 deal. Do not trust this company. They will not render the services they offered
