Misleading job search
Nomad has a horrible job search engine. Everytime i search for a role it gives me the wrong work role. Their search engine for specific role is misleading. If youre looking for an xray technologist job. It will give you a list of jobs with the title General xray tech but when you click on the job its Nuclear tech work. Its a hassle cause it baits you with General radiology title but then its not general radiology its radiation therapy or something else or some otehr subspecialty. Please put the specialty first.
No communication on required documents - which differs per position
This company will reject and throw out your application before telling you what the required documents are. I've tried to apply to four jobs now. Later I see they threw out my application for something as simple as a drivers license. I can easily upload that. Why wouldn't they message or communicate that this position would like the drivers license in order to submit? No, they do not communicate that. Instead, they just throw out your application without communicating. That is not a sign of professionalism nor a good company.
Guaranteed hours
Nomad gives you guaranteed hours so if you’re cancelled by the facility you’ll get paid for those hours. They don’t offer guaranteed hours if you get canceled of during a holiday week or during a week you called in sick. I think this shouldn’t be because if you’re cancelled for every shift during a holiday week you don’t get paid. I understand not giving guaranteed hours for a holiday shift but for the entire week it’s ludicrous. Not a bad company but needs a tone of improvements.
Don't work with this company …
Don't work with this company, they are not trustworthy at all. They don't care about their employees, think what they would do with their clients.
Only NBSTSA NEED APPLY!!!
Its not fair that all the Surgical Tech jobs are posted for "ONLY" NBSTSA CERT. Nomad should advertise that only NBSTSA CERT scrub techs are only to apply because if your are certified through NCCT you need not waste your time even if you have 20+ yrs exp of Neuro, Ortho, Robotics, GYN, GEN. You will not get submitted. By the time they answer you back the job is gone. To have one hospital say they will accept your NCCT cert. You never hear back from NOMAD. THEY ARE A JOKE.

I love being part of the Nomad team. Everyone has always been helpful and resourceful. If there every is a problem, they are up to the task of finding an answer.
Recently, I had a contract that was canceled prior to my start date. As soon as it happened, my navigator called to let me know so, that I could start looking for another contract. Sure enough, I had another offer within 2 days.
I know you are all doing a great job.
I know you are all doing a great job.
I would like to suggest that, given my experience with application submissions, that frequently asked questions, some of which are already included in profiles, be included in applications. Questions like: who was your manager, clinical experience, etc. I am a Medical/Surgical/Telemetry RN. I do hope that is already showing in my profile. I am saying this because time is of great essence.
Thank you.
Staff was great
Nomad 10/10
Nomad has truly been the most efficient company to work for and has tended to offer rates on the higher end as well.
Negative experience at a hospital
I had several issues at the hospital that I was working at; being mistreated just for being a traveler.
Emily and Joanne were very supportive and empathetic about my situation.
I am very appreciative that they were there for me.
Multiple IT issues, application rejected for no license yet that’s my home state w license in hand, no way to get urgent help
Recruiter missed a message from me, job I wanted to be submitted to closed while waiting for response. I understand they are busy and doing best they can. No worries. On to the next. Found a new position, in my home state, applied immediately. Profile 100% complete. Receive auto response back my submission was withdrawn and canceled bc I “didn’t have active state license in hand for state the job was located.” Except I do. First license listed on my profile. My home state license, even! Not expired til 2024–over a year away. ZERO ability to get a hold of anyone to rectify the issue despite texting the “urgent help w application” line for help.
