Seems to do the job well. It hides in the background. invisible, doing it's thing. The only time I'm aware of it is when I hit the sites that have a problem with VPN.

4 times the price on the automatic renewal
I signed an abonnement with them 2 years ago. It was 1348 SEK for 2 years for a VPN service.
It was automatically renewed this year with doubled price and only for 1 year. And it also seems like all of a sudden I had to pay for a "Ultra package" (there is no information that I could find on what the package includes on their homepage). But it was more than I ordered since I only wanted VPN service.

great for speed but streaming may not work
I purchased a 2 year plan, and 6 months on- here is my honest opinion. The company claimes that you will get fewer adverts and can access otherwise geoblocked streaming contents.
For ads, NO, I got more ads when I use this while listening to podcasts.
It used to have obfuscated settings on app(android) and now it no longer exists so more apps reject vpn connection. If I hadn't already paid till Oct 2027, I would have cancelled my subscription for this reason alone.
If you want to stream Netflix, Prime, Disney+ using nordvpn, you need to change some settings and still it is a hit and miss.
And for Prime, it doesn't work at all.
Having said that, the speed itself is reliable, there are moments where I had to disconnect the vpn to improve the speed but it is rare.
So,
It is great for security, and privacy and it also scans the dark web data leak for you.
But for streaming, I am not sure this is the best option.

Account was de-activated after paying, without my asking
On July 25, 2025, I renewed my NordVPN subscription for another 1 year. My credit card shows a corresponding charge of $64.56 on July 28, 2025. On July 25, 2025, right after renewing for 1 year, I also decided to CANCEL my auto-subscription, thinking I could still use my VPN until the expiration of the 1-year plan. I found out recently that NordVPN DELETED my entire account and therefore my VPN became INACTIVE after I canceled the auto-subscription. I spoke with the Live Chat person today, who basically told me it was my fault because supposedly I asked to have my account DELETED whereas I only asked for canceling the auto-subscription. I never received any credit for the $64.56 (I actually never asked for any credit because I really wanted to use the services for one full year). Bottom line: by asking for the canceling of the auto-subscription, I supposedly caused an immediate deletion of my VPN account.
