Vpn stays on when app is closed

Not a good vpn due to the fact that vpn does not turn off when you close the app on your phone. My battery has drained many times without me realizing VPN was on in the background. Nord needs to have the option for vpn dis connecting when app is closed. Plenty of other companies do not have this issue.

I travel quite a lot for work and often…

I travel quite a lot for work and often have to rely on hotel Wi-Fi, which always felt a bit risky. I decided to get this mainly for the extra security on public networks, and so far, it's been a smooth experience. My kids also use it on their tablets to watch their favorite shows from home while we are abroad. It took me a minute to figure out the map interface at first, but once you get the hang of it, it’s actually quite intuitive. Definitely feels like a reliable tool for a family that's always on the move.

Perceived virus behavior despite not being a virus.

When ever i try to disconnect from and shut down the VPN, it turns off my internet. Some times i can turn it off and have it work, but that's after having re-opened it 2 to 4 times just to shut it down again.
When i try to close the program, it just forcibly re-opens itself unless i go into task manager and shut down all the tasks in quick succession. And the speed while i'm connected is horrible. I started a download with the VPN on. The timer told me it would take two hours despite being connected to the closest server. I managed to turn off the VPN, and it took 15 minutes after that.

Don’t waste your money on this unstable…

Don’t waste your money on this unstable product. No matter what internet connection or device you use, the connection is always buffering and trying to reconnect.
In UK trying to connect to UK (fastest) connection there’s a joke, surely nothing difficult in that. When you try to connect them it’s an email which would be fine, except you then receive a confusing return email. Just another way of kicking the can down the road.
It’s not as though it’s a cheap product either and the number of expensive upgrades they try scaring you into buying is ridiculous.

Connectivity issues and even worse…

Connectivity issues and even worse customer support.

​I am extremely frustrated with NordVPN. For a premium service, the performance on Android devices is unacceptable. The app constantly hangs and fails to connect on my Google Pixel 7 Pro, often just sitting on a loading screen indefinitely.
​Additionally, a recent update has completely broken the app on my Amazon Fire TV Stick. Despite being connected via Ethernet to high-speed broadband, the app claims there is no internet connection. The only "fix" is to disconnect my stable wired connection and use Wi-Fi, which is a ridiculous workaround for a professional VPN.
​To make matters worse, the customer support experience was a complete waste of time. I spent nearly an hour on live chat being bounced between three different agents, forced to repeat my issue multiple times despite being told they were "catching up" on the case. Their "solution" was to have me sideload a different APK version via a third-party app—an unstable and unprofessional fix for a service that should work natively.
​When I asked to lodge a formal complaint, I was told it wasn't possible over chat.
Constant connection drops, broken updates, and unhelpful support.

Absolutely appalling service

Absolutely appalling service , I have been asking for a password reset link via email nw for 2 months . They never send it . All the do is send you instructions how to request a link , when you do this it does not arrive. Do not subscribe to this company at any cost , disgraceful

Seems to do the job well

Seems to do the job well. It hides in the background. invisible, doing it's thing. The only time I'm aware of it is when I hit the sites that have a problem with VPN.
Hope to do a dedicated IP at some point to resolve that issue.
