10 weeks since cancellation and still NO REFUND on TWO Long haul roundtrip flights.

I purchased TWO roundtrip long haul tickets from London to Buenos Aires on 23 February 2020. Argentina closed all borders to international flights on (around) 13 March 2020. Norwegian emailed me to tell me my flights were affected by Covid on 15 March. I then got in touch on 16 March, where they confirmed MY FULL REFUND. It is now 23 May and NO REFUND. I have spoken to four separate members of staff, who in the end could not advise a timeline and changed their story every time. Norwegian have now disabled the human chat option and there is no way of me getting in touch without paying a premium on an international call. I understand that these are unprecedented times, but they need to respond and confirm what is going on. They are not replying on email, and the calls are no use as the lines are jammed. I have resulted to DM'ing them on Twitter. Nothing. Terrible service.

I called Norwegian about my cancelled…

I called Norwegian in April about my cancelled flight which they kindly agreed to refund me for.

I contacted them recently for an update and they’re now refusing to refund me as I booked through a third party and advised me to obtain a refund through them instead! But the third company parties are advising to go directly to the airlines for a refund

Goodbye Norwegian?

Claimed for a refund of a canceled flight a month ago. No answer. So I called to their customer service just now. They have recorded message saying "we reply to claims in 3 weeks. If we didn't, sorry, we will reply as soon as possible" and hung up :D Meanwhile in media - "Norwegian filed for bankruptcy". Honestly, I don't mind. The less companies like this selling their products to me, the better.

my first flight with Norwegian was…

my first flight with Norwegian was great and i was really impressed with the plane and staff, however since this crisis hit customer service has been non existent and the information they put out is about as much use a chocolate teapot. We are still awaiting a refund over a month on and I have a suspicion when it dose come it won't be for the full amount as we had a ridiculous additional fee to pay for rebooking

Professional Service

They flew me back from the States just before Trump banned all flights from Europe. Despite it being some crews last flights in their job they were professional and helpful throughout. We were in the economy plus or equivalent and it was well worth the extra money, nice food and masses of room. Limited entertainment selection but for the cost it was really good. I hope they make it through.

As loyal customers of yours for the last 12 years we were again impressed by your customer service and were amazed at how quickly you dealt with our small, claim but now when the only thing left to do is to process our payment you have stalled and are now ignoring our emails, Is it because Norwegian air have no money to pay us ? Let's have some honesty please and don't ignore us.

UPDATE: 10/07/2020
Norwegian Air did not respond to the county court papers sent to them regarding my compensation claim, I have now applied for the County Court Judgement to be applied to their credit record, It's taking longer than normal because of the unusual circumstances.

Update:9/10/2020
Norwegian Air finally paid the debt in full when the Bailiffs were about to be sent to recover the monies owed at Gatwick Headquarters, plus we received compensation.

Please can I have a refund of cash… Awful Experience

Please can I have a refund of cash money back to my original method of payment!!! Norwegian cancelled my flight and now I want a refund.
Please action ASAP. You are offering cash points?! I don’t want cash points thank you just my MONEY back onto my credit card.
Customer Service NON EXISTENT, I have been trying for days.

COVID-19 cancelled flights no communication

Had three flights booked with them in Norway over March, however due to Norway closing their borders we could not fly. I have tried to call multiple times and filled in 3 refund requests online since March 14th and have heard nothing. I demand a refund Norwegian airlines! I was bombarded with texts saying my flight was cancelled and to login online and manage my booking, only when I try to manage the booking the website says “service temporarily unavailable” leaving me stranded, missing my flights and not receiving any kind of compensation yet. Very Very POOR form. I understand airlines are beyond busy with enquires at the moment, but pretty poor I couldn’t make changes to my cancelled flights and have heard nothing in regards to my online forms. I will never ever book with Norwegian Airlines again.

Norwegian badly trained cabin crew.

March 10 2020. I travelled on a Norwegian flight in premiere class from LAX to LGW, in the preflight video Norwegian are keen to point out that there were 9 toilets on the plane, 2 in premiere, 5 in the middle and 2 in the back. Once the seat belts sign had gone off I made my way to one of the two toilets in premiere only to have the chief steward lock it in front of me saying that it was ONLY for crew {3 of them} versus 70 passengers having to use the remaining toilet, I asked him if this was Norwegian policy to which he replied 'No I just decided that' he said this in a very sarcastic way. At no point during the flight did he make an announcement telling the passengers this, so during the flight the line to that toilet was halfway down the aisle with people just assuming someone was in there, the cabin staff also closed both curtains so it was near impossible to get around to the other toilet which of course with 70 people using it became a health hazard. We had to climb over the people in the front row who were all trying to sleep, I spoke to the guy later telling him I would write and find out if this was Norwegian policy, again he was incredibly sarcastic, suggesting I should calm down which was odd as I couldn't have been calmer, I got the feeling he was only trying to goad me into saying something rude, not my style. I don't really understand how you can call one toilet for 70 passengers over 11 hours a premiere service, I don't understand why Norwegian don't train there staff better in public relations, I don't understand how low level staff can make huge decisions that affect the passengers without conformation from Norwegian. I'm sure Norwegian will give some kind of glib reply to this below, don't buy into it, pay a bit extra and use another airline in the long run it's worth it.

THE WORST I had to change the flight date on my…

I had to change the flight date on my trip to Sweden , and after seeing that it added $800 to my flight price , I read that you have 24 to cancel the booking so I did , well it cancelled my whole trip . I immediately called and got a smug woman on the phone saying it was my doing and that they were keeping my money $2000 ) No willingness to help change the flight (all other airlines let’s you change even after the 24 hour window for a fee, this after almost 3 hours wait on phone . NEVER flying Norweigan again

BAD, BAD experience

If you are in doubt on whether to book or not with Norwegian-airlines now, despite being an Norwegian company, I would recommend you take into consideration the fact that the seats when I have used it, the seats were very close to each other, there were gums attached on the front seat and the flight attendants were not the kindest I have seen.

Horrible Airline

Wish I had read all the negative reviews before booking With Norwegian Air. One of the worst airlines I have ever booked with.

We booked a premier ticket and were told we had lounge access. We called the night before our flight to confirm. We were on hold for 25 min whilst they checked! Unbelievable. They confirmed we had lounge access. Even the staff at check in confirned we could use the lounge.

Got to lounge to be told we were not eligible. We were directed to Norwegian desk where the woman was very rude. We then called Norwegian customer service, who were equally rude. Since calls are recorded, we asked them to listen to the conversation from the night before but they told us it was a ‘human error’. Human error or simply incompetence, it was Norwegian’s mistake.

Do not fly with them! Awful, rude, unhelpful.

I love Norwegian

I love Norwegian , and I love their customer service when I call them , really good care !! I had blocked all my cards while I was paying in the air :) they provided me a free meal . I do not know if the problem was with terminal or with my cards, but very good attitude of staff !
I love how they treat schedule changes, I love how they send updates .
I used them for so many time by now , definitely will use them as much as possible again !

have used them for a couple of flights…

have used them for a couple of flights to Tenerife now and surprised at the reviews? Much better than other low cost carriers particuallry Ryanair, comfortable aircraft / seats, nice staff and we travel with a disabled passenger so need assistance. No problem recommending them for reasonable service and good value.

The service with this air line was very poor below that of Ryan air

The service with this air line was really poor the flight was delayed and the on board service was very unimpressive and our baggage was damaged coming back into Gatwick.
When I filled out a damage form and when we got to the car we saw another case had been damaged however when we spoke the Norwegian air lines about it they said that they wouldn't consider it even though the rep at the airport had said to the baggage operators that there had been a number of problems.
However even the one case they knew about and saw at the airport they asked for photos and other docs and then said that it would be a month before we got the paid but it still took them 3 weeks to make this decision .
Since they don't sign up to any arbitration agreement I can't go to the C A A, since they wouldn't take on this matter and the cases value would be only a small amount more than the excess.

When I emailed them repeated about the reason for the payment taking so long they never gave me an answer, and didn't bother to reply .

I wouldn't use this company again due to the way I have been treated over a very straightforward matter.

I would rate them below Ryan air !

Nothing bad happened...

I've booked around 10 flights with them between US and different parts of Europe. Unlike most reviews and me being terrified that something horrible will happen while reading them, all flights went smoothly. But bear in mind, I had almost no luggage and thankfully I didn't need to make any change to my flights or contact the customer service.

Worst flight experience of my life

Worst flight experience of my life. It really made me want to not travel anymore.
The original flight was Milan-Los Angeles
Canceled and changed to Rome-Los Angeles
Long flight without meals on the board, without blankets.
We just had space for our legs.
DO NOT TRAVEL WITH THIS COMPANY!

HORRIBLE

HORRIBLE. I cannot believe how horrible Norwegian is. They changed the time of my flight so it lands at 11:10PM which makes it too late to check in to my hotel. I call them immediately, they check for other flights, can't find any so basically tell me there is nothing they can do unless I want to cancel the trip. It's despicable. THEY changed the flight and now I have to eat the 150 euro I paid for the hotel and sleep in the airport or pay for another hotel with a late check-in. They won't even put me up for the night because the delay doesn't make it a new day. And they changed my flight home as well so it leaves at 11:59PM. Can't be more obvious about trying to avoid having to give people hotel rooms. How scummy is that. Whatever you do DO NOT FLY NORWEGIAN.
