I have been with this company for nearly 2 years with NOT ONE claim! Until now, The reason my pet went into the vets during out of hours was because he is a male cat that couldn’t urinate. A simple google search would show this is a potentially LIFE THREATENING issue.
Bear in mind this wasn’t a midnight out of hours appointment, this was a New Year’s Day appointment, so a bank holiday. It’s not like I just left this issue to an inconvenient hour.
I needed to take him in ASAP or he may have died within 24 hours. However you refused my claim for the out of hours fee as it turned out the condition wasn’t ’life saving’.
You also refused my claim for medication due to the cost in comparison to online meds…. These are meds that I needed ASAP I couldn’t wait to go home order online, wait for postage and then delivery to give to my pet. I feel absolutely and totally let down. I have emailed my concerns and have not yet received a reply, I will be calling in the next few days when I’m off work. But let it be known I will NEVER recommend this company and will be cancelling my policy.
I will also add that at the time of the claim I was on one of the highest tier insurance… if this is what they refuse on the highest I hate to think what basic covers.

I understand that I should have read the policy with a fine tooth comb but for a £300 claim…. And quite a ‘normal situation’ this was the exact reason I had insurance. I’ve paid them almost double the claim amount in premiums.
