Great if all goes well — but no empathy when problems arise
I booked three nights at Number 5 in Rye but made a double booking and didn’t show up. I went in person to apologize, yet the owners showed no flexibility — only offering 25% off a future stay, which I will not use.
No refund, no empathy, and even overheard them discussing me at a local bar. Very disappointing and unprofessional. The place may be great when all goes well, but if there’s a problem, don’t expect kindness or understanding.
