Thanks for your feedback, we’re sorry to hear you’ve had trouble redeeming your discount in the Co-op.

The NUS Apprentice extra and TOTUM cards are now operated and supported by our partners over at TOTUM. If you contact their support team directly at help@totum.com they will be able to provide guidance on redemption and escalate to the store in question. We’ve also made them aware of your feedback so they will keep an eye out for your email to help resolve this promptly.

Avoid. An absolute scam.

I wish I would read reviews before paying money to this scam.
In their list of discounts they have shops which don't even exist anymore. Booking.com doesn't give any discount whatsoever.
They just take money of you, send you a crap card and that's all.

Absolute waste of money

Absolute waste of money. Uni days don’t accept NUS card, nowhere seems to. Paid £20 for 3 years and wish I hadn’t. Can’t get a refund, can’t get a discount, it sucks.

Do not waste your money!

Don’t bother to waste your money. I was Informed that I was eligible for an NUS card, looked at all the places you could get discount and thought, fab! Signed up paid my money, then come trying to obtain discount! No discount codes are provided (yes I am logged in) I am told to go to the TOTUM website to get a code off there, however I’m not eligible for TOTUM can anyone shed any light on how I get discount codes and what discount you actually get on the NUS extra? Edit: I am an apprentice.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

We have reviewed your details and can see you have purchased an NUS apprentice extra discount card. You can redeem the offers available with your membership directly through the website where your card was purchased: https://www.apprenticeextra.co.uk/

You will be unable to redeem offers through the TOTUM app/website, this is the platform used by students who have purchased the TOTUM discount card.

If you have any further questions regarding your NUS apprentice extra membership please contact the support team at apprenticecard@totum.com and you can also find FAQ’s here: https://help.apprenticeextra.co.uk/support/home

Very very frustrating trying to redeem and offer online, the chatbot help function is utter rubbish and failed. Waiting to book

Hi Josh, thank you for your feedback.

TOTUM are an NUS partner but their products and services are not provided directly by our organisation. Their full contact details can be found in their helpdesk here: https://help.totum.com/support/solutions/articles/47001123414-contacting-totum

Their automated bot is also tested daily and appears to be functioning ok.

If the Bot doesn’t answer your query you can create a support ticket by selecting ‘No’ when it asks if you’re query has been resolved – the TOTUM customer success team will then get back to you within 1 working day. They will be able to support you with any trouble you’re having redeeming the Hotel offer.

Hope this helps.

Hi Gordon, thank you for your feedback and I’m sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with your sons TOTUM application.

TOTUM are an NUS partner but their products and services are not provided directly by our organisation. I have spoken to the Customer Success Manager at TOTUM and he has searched for emails made by someone with the last name of Ashford within the last month and he is unable to find a query regarding your sons PASS ID photo. Can you please ask your son to contact help@totum.com and provide details of the issues. They should also request for it to be escalated to the customer success manager. This will then be looked into as a matter of priority.

Hope this helps.

Shame there isn’t minus stars

Shame there isn’t minus stars. Got my card purely for use in the co-op. Card domes up as invalid even though the goods are full price, the shop allows the discount. The cashiers tried swiping and typing the numbers in.
Messages backwards and forwards to TOTUM and all as they do is blame it on me the type of purchase or the cashier?!!!
Absolutely rubbish

TOTUM are an NUS partner but their products and services are not provided directly by our organisation. We have sent the details of your review to the TOTUM customer success manager who has provided the following response.

TOTUM have a two step approach to helping customers who have had trouble redeeming the Co-op offer. The initial response provides some tips on how to redeem the offer, in the majority of cases this resolves the customers query. The same response also requests “if you do continue to have trouble please reply back confirming the Co-op store address so we can contact them to resolve it directly.” At this point we would contact the store in question, as well as send a replacement card to the customer, this helps us to resolve any potential issues with the store as well as rule out possible issues with the members card. If this customer would like to reply back to us (help@totum.com) confirming these details we will happily help with these final steps.

We hope this helps and TOTUM look forward to hearing from you

Utter garbage

Utter garbage. Don't waste your money. They claim to represent students, but only those in the UK (principally England) can actually obtain anything useful.
It took FOREVER to receive the first and second cards and they can only post to UK addresses. My first card came with the world's biggest offer on condoms. Seriously?
The renewal process is a joke. Round and round in circles and always being asked for my voucher code or "bundle", whatever that is. Where from? No explanations or help anywhere.

Another English orientated Service

Very English orientated. Nowhere near as many offers in Scotland as in England. Maybe students in Scotland should pay a discounted price because of this.

DO NOT PURCHASE- unless you want hassle

DO NOT PURCHASE. It's practically impossible to pass the ID requirements to receive the ID card and when I finally received just the discount card it didn't work half of the time. Also terrible communication, they NEED to have a phone line you can call otherwise it feels like they just take your money and run :(((

Update: after sending multiple emails and arguing that I had been mis-sold (card was a hassle as it didn’t work half the time) I got through to someone else and they have sent me out a replacement card free of charge. So they do get back to you eventually if it isn’t working. Having said that I am yet to try the new one out, fingers crossed!

(If I don’t update further then we can assume that the replacement card works)

Not fit for purpose

Unfortunately I am forced to use NUS (now "TOTUM")(No I don't know what that stands for either) to claim student discounts. My card expired in September and I have been trying ever since then to reset my password to order a new card. 6 months later, and the password reset still doesn't work, furthermore after numerous emails and Facebook messages simply telling me to click "recover password" (which doesn't work) I am still unable to access my account and I have lost out on so many discounts.
Something needs to be done about this company, they hold a monopoly over my organisation's student discount cards and yet they are simply not fit for purpose. If only I could order a Unidays card instead!

Why such a battle?

Absolutely horrendous ordeal. Why should getting a student discount card be such a battle?! I ordered my 3 year card 3 months ago and it arrived 2 days ago with only 2years 9 months left on it. They could have atleast updated my expiration date. I've emailed numerous times with zero response. The first shop I used it in (my local co-op) and it doesn't even work. Worst £30 I've spent. NUS was a much easier process last time!

It was good when it was NUS card, but it is bad when it turns to Totum. Do not buy this card, does not even work even if you sign up for it. Waste of money.
