This site scammed me im 16 no passport no licence and i was told i could use an NUS card as valid id the site confirmed this i purchased the card plus id bundle only to find out afterwards you can only get the id if you provide a passport or licence they dont accept birth certificates and if you dont complete the id setup youre still charged for the bundle and if you want id in the future you must pay an ADDITIONAL FEE if that wasn't bad enough the orders already confirmed at this point and if you want to cancel you have to pay a CANCELLATION FEE what bs is that its a total SCAM dont usr this site and warn youre kids about it
So bad. A card that isn't worth the money. Fabricated discounts and dire administration. Look at the other reviews, they can't all be wrong.
I have personally not had much opportunity to use my NUS card, so I didn't find it worthwhile. Do your research on their website to see whether you will likely shop at any of the places that offer the discount. I won't be buying it again.
In short, NUS puts NUS first and the customer second.
I placed an order yesterday but then I send them an email today asking to cancel the card. On their system one can see what stage of the process the card is in. They haven't even accepted my application yet, nevermind starting the production of the card. They have no reason to deny a cancellation.
They said in the e-mail: "Unfortunately we cannot cancel orders once they ahev been placed, if you would like to cancel your order please return it to us in 14 days for a refund."
They clearly don't put the customer first and I believe the above response is an attempt to dilute ones desire to cancel the card as it will require effort and money on behalf of the customer to return it.
For those reading this review: I presume you are a person of common sense like myself. Then does it make sense to you that they would push through with the production of the card, and then pay for postage to send it to me; which would then require me to pay for postage back to them? Flummoxing isn't it.
I'm disappointed as I had previously thought NUS was a good company; that was, until I contacted them.
I ordered a NUS Extra card in July, but due to an address change after the order was placed, I got in contact with the NUS Extra facebook page. I also phoned them and gave my new address to an employee. I thought things would be sorted after that and I'd get my card at the new address. I still haven't got my card today.
I can see from my account on the website, that a new card has been produced, and it is going out to the same address as the first card. An address I still don't live at.
Before I talked to NUS Extra on facebook and on the phone, I used the contact form on the website. It took 7 days for them to respond!!!!!
They have not contacted me to get the correct address, and I cannot correct it myself.
Appaling, incompetent customer service!!
I want my money back for a product I will never receive.
If you're a student get an NUS card. It's £11.99 for the year, but mine paid for itself within 2 weeks of getting it.
You can even get these as a part time student - I study at the Open University but still have one of these!
