I ordered Perform Panels from Nu World Plastics in Alpino White for a 1.7x1.8m wetroom. After installation we saw that a couple of the panels were a different shade to the rest, very grey in colour. This hadn’t been evident in daylight but could only be seen when the panels were installed next to each other. I contacted Nu World who were very helpful and sent 2 replacement panels the following week. They informed me that the manufacturers had been testing some new colours and that somehow this laminate had mistakenly gone onto the panels which I had received! Waiting for the replacements caused a delay on the wet room installation. When the replacement boards were fitted, we once again found that they were a different shade and were not Alpino White. I contacted Nu World but this time I could not get to speak to anyone as they were all working from home and I was told to leave a message, which I did on 2 occasions. I also emailed them and left a message via their on-site portal. After 48 hours I had still not received a reply and the installation could not be delayed any longer as the installers were booked elsewhere. The only option was to remove several panels, which was difficult as these were stuck in place. The installers then had to shuffle the panels around so that the ones which were the wrong colour were placed side by side so that the discrepancy was not so glaringly obvious. I could not expect the installers to do this for free as they had already replaced the panels previously at no extra charge. Thus, I am an extra £360 out of pocket, through no fault of my own. At a cost of almost £2000 I am stuck with panels that look dreadful and I bitterly regret choosing these instead of going for traditional tiling as there really is no comparison.
Nu World's lack of response the second time around is very disappointing.
