Buyer Beware…
Unfortunately it seems I am yet another customer to have fallen foul of this company.
Like other reviewers I also ordered a Laura Ashley light before Xmas (17/12/23). Chased just after Xmas by email and got told it’s a Xmas backlog and would be delivered soon (5/1/24), then chased again by email 17/1/24) and heard nothing.
Despite their website suggesting phone line issues and high call volume, I phoned them up and got through to customer services to request cancellation. Connor said he saw my previous email and that he would process the request by responding to my email, (why they never actually responded to my cancellation email is also a concern). He said he would process the cancellation and respond to my email. So far I have had an email advising the order would be cancelled but no confirmation. Their website still shows the order as being processed, so they obviously haven’t cancelled it as requested.
As of 23/1/24 I am still waiting for the cancellation to be processed. So I will be requesting for a second time for this to be cancelled.
Very concerning a company can operate like this by taking your money and then showing absolutely no effort in providing the service you have paid for. Actually it’s diabolical.
Update to this. I got back in touch with Connor who has confirmed on the phone and by email that my order has been cancelled. Additionally this also now shows against my order history on my account. Apparently it takes 14 working days to process. Still waiting for my £400 refund. This will be escalated to my credit card company if no refund after 14 days.
Do yourself a favour and use a different company.
Update 7/2/24, having placed a dispute with my credit card company I have since received a refund. Not sure if this was through ocean lighting or the credit card company itself, but it was referenced as a dispute so I assume it was from the card company.
Further update (7/72/24) in response to ocean lightings response. No need to look in to this, my credit card company has resolved this for me. Had you have read my review in full you would have known that.

Don’t order from this company
Don’t order from this company! I ordered a Laura Ashley light fitting that stated 3-4 days delivery when I ordered it in November, I then got an email saying 3-10 working days delivery. I waited, heard nothing, contacted the company and was fobbed off with waiting longer, waited again, heard nothing, was told a different excuse, still no light, this pattern repeated until I was told it would be after Christmas early January. Still no light, even though I’ve been told it’s in stock, going through quality checks and will be with me w/c 8th. It’s now the 21st of January and still no light. I have no faith in this company, it’s a total scam and lies from their only customer service “Connor”.

Ordered 14th November, chased constantly, given all sorts of reasons for failure to deliver from out of stock, to busy in the warehouse to lost in the warehouse.Told them to cancel my order and refund my money…….nothing ! Chased again and told they would do it asap. Still nothing. These people lie then don’t do anything.
They should not be allowed to trade as they are obviously not responsible traders. They are financing their business with customers money . I hope they are thoroughly ashamed.
Worst online experience ever
Worst online experience ever. Order placed on 10 December with a 3-10 day delivery time, to date, even with their closed Christmas period, I am 24 working days waiting, like others I was told the warehouse was behind and it would be delivered this week, sadly nothing. I have requested a refund but no response! I don’t hold out a refund or the light any time soon!

I received email from customer service on the 20/01/24 -‘ Hi,
Thank you for your email. Apologies for the delay, I will chase this with accounts now and insure this is pushed through promptly. As soon as this has been processed you will receive a confirmation email’.
I ordered a light fitting on the 29th of November, delivery estimate was 3 to 10 days. I contacted the customer service team on the 17th of December and was told the light fitting was not going to be delivered in the specified time -“Unfortunately the warehouse is really backlogged at the moment due to the build up to Christmas so we would not be able to guarantee delivery before Christmas. Delivery would be the week commencing 1st January, however we will try our best to make sure this is with you as soon as possible. Once your order has been dispatched we will update you as soon as possible.”
I think they shouldn’t take payment if there is no possibility of completion of the ordered in the specified time frame.
I cancelled my order and requested a refund on the 19th of December and was told this would take up to 14 working days. It is now the 18th of January and I have still not received a refund. Their service is appalling.

NO communication! I've had nothing from the company since I placed my order on 3rd December for a Christmas Gift which obviously did not make it on time despite the 3-10 day promised lead time. I emailed and called but have had NO response. I have started my quest again today to find out where my order is but reading the other reviews has made me just want a refund! I will not be ordering from this company again.
Take your money and not deliver
I ordered a light back November, they took the money immediately but then complete silence. After a couple of weeks I emailed and asked when it would be delivered but no reply. When they finally replied they said there was a problem with the order but it would be with us shortly. Again, after a month, still nothing. I then asked for a refund but here we are in January and still no light or refund. I am currently chasing via my credit card for my money. DO NOT ORDER FROM OCEAN LIGHTING!!!

Please reconsider before ordering from this company!! I made an order on the 5th December. Estimated delivery was 3 days later as item was shown as in stock. Waited almost 2 weeks before chasing it up, to be told items wouldn’t be delivered until the beginning of Jan due to a backlog in the warehouse! I asked for my order to be cancelled and requested a refund. This alone caused a great inconvenience but even worse it is now the 12th of January and I still haven’t received my money back. (Quite a large sum of money) I have sent countless emails and still nothing. Complete waste of time! Would never order from here again I feel like I have been scammed!

We asked for a refund after they were unable to supply us with a lamp.We were told that due to refunds being processed "manually", the refund would take up to 14 working days.
It is now day 17 not including the bank holidays.
We were told yesterday that they would now be in touch with their "Accounts dept" to try and hurry things along.
What a Joke of a company. Give them a wide berth.
We will be contacting trading standards to see if they can hurry things along.

If I could, I wouldn’t allocate any stars. The Goods were ordered in the beginning of November and I was told they were in stock to be delivered within 10 working days. I waited 3 weeks for the goods which still were not sent and so since then I requested refunds on 3 occasions and have finally, after many polite promises of action, given up and contacted my credit card company.

No light. No refund even after nearly 3 months of waiting
Ordered a light on 13th sept. After numerous emails regarding delays i cancelled the order in october and requested a refund which im still waiting for even though i had an email on 20th dec saying it had been completed. Have emailed again today advising them that ive still not received it. Lost count the amount of emails sent regarding this. Not happy and will never use this company again!

Similar to others here, waiting four months for a light. Getting the run around each timr contact them sating its being posted next week, one occasion it was lost. Pleasant replies via email and reasonably prompt. Shame that they cant either just be honest, if said it would be 6 months I could even cope with that but on at least 4/5 occasions Ive been given dates and they come and go and I contact them the following month and on and on.

I ordered two lamps on 13th November, On 13th December they hadn't arrived, so I emailed requesting a refund. Ocean responded with the improbable explanation that they had been out of stock, (which wasn't true according to their website when I ordered the lights), and that they were now in stock and they were undergoing "quality control", which would take a few more days. I repeated my request for a refund and it is now 2nd January, and I still have not got my money back. It is now almost SEVEN weeks after my initial order, and I've got nothing, and they owe me nearly £200. This is a disgrace, I would strongly suggest people don't buy from this company.

I ordered a light on the 21st November and received an email stating item would be delivered within 3-10 working days' , said item never arrived emailed and tried phoning and could never get through to some one or any response by email. I eventually gave up and raised a bank dispute in January and received my money back via my bank. It the option for 0 stars weas available i would click on that option
