Web Site is dicey
I researched this thoroughly using ChatGPT. That technology was very helpful in making my decisions. Once on the patch to sign up, I encountered the Octopus website. Multiple attempts to sign up, each coming back with bad data or an error or a spinning dial.
I finally called them and discovered, I was in fact set up with an account. A few minutes on the phone and I am now a customer.
