Awful quality and broken parts arrived

Hi,

I placed an order for a house bed which eventually came after nearly 2 weeks. My husband has just managed to open the boxes today and we are both in utter shock and disappointment. Firstly, the quality of the item is just awful. Most of the parts have arrived broken and I am so disappointed as the bed was not cheap!! Nearly £350!! Please can someone reach out to me regarding replacement parts as we were really looking forward to this bed because it is dor my toddler. Hoping to get a response soon.

10 days later and still no delivery or firm date

​I placed an order on 31/03/2026, and as of today (09/04/2026), I still have not received my items.

While I understand that shipping delays happen, the customer service has been incredibly unhelpful and vague.
​Whenever I ask for a firm delivery date, I am told they "cannot provide or confirm" one and am asked for more "patience." It feels like once they have your payment, you are left to deal with the courier issues yourself.

They even suggested I "refuse acceptance" if I want a refund, which just creates more work for me.
​Very disappointed for a first-time customer.

If you need something delivered within a reasonable timeframe with professional tracking, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

A kit, not a cabinet

The advertising in no way prepared me to receive a kit of 183 bits taking 3 hours to assemble. The instructions are all pictures, no words, and it's very easy to mistake which bit is which or which way round it goes. Nor did it say that mountings supplied are only suitable for solid walls. Those of us with plasterboard walls need to make major modifications requiring significant effort and skill.

The cabinet is made of melamine-covered boards, so appearance somewhat utilitarian. Components had however been carefully manufactured and did fit together well. Delivery prompt, and well packed.

Very disappointing

I had a very disappointing experience with OxLiving.

From the outset, communication was inconsistent and often delayed. Emails went unanswered for extended periods, and when responses did arrive they did not fully address the questions raised. This made what should have been a straightforward process unnecessarily stressful.

During the tenancy process, key information was either unclear or provided at the last minute. This created avoidable uncertainty and required repeated follow-up on my part. Expectations around timelines and responsibilities were not communicated transparently.

I also found the handling of [maintenance issues / deposit matters / contract queries – insert what actually applies] to be unsatisfactory. Despite raising concerns clearly and promptly, the matter was not resolved in a timely or satisfactory way.

Overall, I would not recommend OxLiving based on my experience. Professional communication, transparency and responsiveness are basic expectations in the housing sector, and in my case these standards were not met.

Overpriced and rubbish quality

Overpriced and rubbish quality. Delivery is just whenever it happens to turn up, comes in 3 o4 different deliveries. I had damaged goods but was basically told as I didn't notice till halfway through putting it together, that I'd basically agreed the delivery. Even though pictures of the parcel were given them. My very first order went missing and they refunded and was told they would accept the loss. It did arrive weeks later. Some damaged, i had to purchase brackets and screws to strenthen it. I persevere and made 4 more orders and so far 2 have come and both have issues. Still waiting for another 2 wardrobes, there's been no date for delivery given. I would def not recommend this company. Top price for poor materials.

Good experience

We ordered a bed for a child and to be honest didn't expect to get it fast or intact, or undamaged. Surprisingly it arrived all good, in a good time and wasn't damaged. It was easy to assemble and overall constriction is good.
