I just got back from 6 nights in the Okavango Delta.
A big thank you to Louise Fitzgerald for putting this together for me.
The 3 lodges, Okuti, Kanana and Shinde were absolutely outstanding. Love love love.
Everything was taken care of by Louise, she was in constant contact and we never had to worry about anything.
Flights, transfers, accommodation.....not one problem. We were met and assisted every step of the way. All the staff were amazing.
I would highly recommend Okavango Delta Explorations and I would definitely use them again.

We had a great experience using Louise‘ service! She proposed the camp based on our wishes and hit the center. Her organization covered the flight from Maun to the camp, the flight from there to Kasane, drive to the Simbabwian border, from there to the lodge in Victoria Falls and finally to the airport. All went very smooth without any delays or disturbances. Thank you Louise for this wonderful experience and all your support. Simply great

I highly recommend Mma Dinare in Botswana. What an amazing trip, beautiful lodge and the service was outstanding! A holiday definitely to remember.

I thought Louise did a great job . She knew the different Options and chose well for what we wanted The cars and planes turned up as expected, so all was well. Altogether it was a great experience, and a credit to Botswana.

Our experience with Okavango Delta Explorations has been truly amazing.
For us it was the first time to Africa and Louise did a great job in explaining to us the different options to make sure we could find the best fit.
The communication with the Okavango team was timely and precise, as it was the pickup and transfer organization between from the Maun airport and between the camps.
We traveled to Savute and Moremi reserves, we loved them both and both accommodations were incredible (super clean, good food, welcoming staff). Between the 2 we preferred Savute, both for its story (Savute marsh pride, the channel....) and for the incredible dinners with view on hordes of elephants drinking at the watering hole.
When we will go back to Africa we will surely trust Louise and the Okavango Delta Explorations team again.

This safari booking company exceeded all expectations and helped me book a rather complex holiday with multiple stops in a seamless manner. They somehow reached out to me when I was scanning possibilities of safari camps yet recommended a package of several lodges which each provided a different experience. I was aptly told to not spend so many days in Victoria Falls and then an additional suggestion for Chobe was spot on!! While Louise, my agent, was "across the pond" in the UK, i felt like she was more accessible than my own travel agent at home! I cannot say enough about the professionalism, promptness and expertise that this booking company displayed throughout the whole wonderful process. it was the vacation of a lifetime...

We had an excellent experience dealing with Louise FitzGerald from Okavango Explorations. Our trip covered Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa. She was extremely patient, full of good ideas and suggestions and nothing was too much trouble. Expensive holiday or on a budget, she was equally willing and helpful. We changed our minds several times due to family upsets and she remained courteous and available throughout. She was always extremely prompt to answer any questions. Upon our return she was eager for feedback to see if any improvements could be made. I would highly recommend their services.

We've recently returned from a wonderful family holiday in the Okavango thanks to the fantastic specialist team at Okavango Delta Explorations that put it all together for us. Nothing was too much trouble and from the outset they were so helpful listening to our brief carefully and going the extra mile with thoughtful touches throughout our trip. Our camps were spot on, and our guides quite brilliant - and they even lined up every animal in the book that we had wanted to see! We had a wonderful trip to Botswana booked through Okavango Delta Explorations. I initially sent an enquiry via their website and Louise called me to discuss our requirements and made suggestions and within 2 days our safari schedule was booked! She is a very affable person, has good knowledge of the Okavango Delta, and she answered all our questions and took care of everything. We stayed 2 nights at Gunns camp and 2 nights at Rra Dinare. Both camps were wonderful with plenty of wildlife. The small aircraft transfers from Maun and between the camps were seamless. Thank you for a most memorable trip to Botswana and Louise Fitzgerald you are a Gem!

I can’t say enough good about this company and Louise in particular. The time that Louise took to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted out of my vacation was so impressive. Several long phone calls, emails and information was sent my way to make myself feel comfortable with the decisions I was making. I also had complete confidence in her knowledge of the area and knew she was an expert in all the regions I was looking at which helped put my mind at ease. When you are sending so much on a trip that is a once in a lifetime trip, you need a “local” to help walk you through the process as there are so many options available out there and can be overwhelming. The trip ended up exactly how I hoped and imagined. Thank you so much!!!

Our experiences during our stay at Savute Lodge, Moremi Lodge and Chobe Game Lodge were fantastic. The staff and guides were the best. The updated Lodges (I was there 13 years ago) were terrific. All in all, it was a magical experience for my daughters and I as we celebrated my 80th Birthday! Thank you for everything. We saw 7 leopards!

Our trip to Zimbabwe, Botswana and South Africa was absolutely wonderful. We would do it all over again in a heartbeat! It was a joy to plan with John and the team, chatting through the various options and working out what was best for our family was fun and not stressful for a change! (Thanks for all your patience!) This is the first time we planned a holiday with a tour operator, mainly because we found the Botswana safari quite over whelming and difficult to plan. Then we realised we were in expert hands and ended up planning the whole trip with the team- and I am so pleased we did! They really listened to what we were looking for and their excellent local knowledge and thoughtful honest advise meant we had the best possible time. Everything on our trip ran like clockwork.

We started with a few days in Vic Falls to get over the jet lag and then went on to Botswana for our safari. We began with a mobile safari which was an amazing adventure for all of us, we wanted an authentic safari and we got it! Our guides and camp team made us feel like we had our own private home in the bush, the kids loved learning bush skills. (And listening to the animals through the canvas at night was an amazing and thrilling experience! We were sure we had big visitors outside our tent one night but it turned out to be a little porcupine outside out tent!). Then we went onto a more luxurious lodge which was a very different experience altogether, which is just what we wanted- we enjoyed the boating along the beautiful Okavango channels and the kids loved the fishing (although they only caught one little fish which they put back!) and we had some amazing game drives. We ended with 4 days in Cape Town at a lovely little hotel and the kids had space to run around and burn off all that energy. This was the perfect way to end the trip and Louise gave us some brilliant tips on places to go with the kids and family friendly restaurants. We had a day out with a private tour guide along the peninsular which was beautiful, the kids loved the penguins, and the seals at Kalk Bay provided endless entertainment too!

All in all- a magical trip. We will definitely be recommending Okavango Delta Explorations to anyone interested in visiting Botswana, and hopefully go back ourselves one day!

I have received excellent recommendations for the two camps selected at Okavanko Delta and Moreni Reserve. Outstanding locations, camps and wildlife. Very professional and knowledgeable guides. Very professional and friendly staff attentive to specific needs of guests. Excellent food and organization for meals either at the camps or in the wild. Thank you.

We were a party of 4 travelling to Cape Town, Franschoek and the Okavango with Okavango Delta Explorations in May 2018 to celebrate a 70th birthday and a wedding anniversary. Put in a nutshell, the trip arranged by Louise Fitzgerald of ODE completely exceeded our expectations, The boutique B&B accommodation arranged in Cape Town was very comfortable and spacious (with a delicious breakfast) and in just the right location, easy for Table Mountain and Cape Town's V&A Waterfront. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. ODE had arranged for a comfortable transfer from the airport and for our rental car to be delivered to the B&B so that we didn't have the hassle of collecting it at the airport.
Again our Franschoek accommodation in two Luxury suits overlooking splendid views just outside the town was perfect for us as a base for exploring the area and in which to relax.
Flying onto Botswana, ODE first based us for 3 nights in a private mobile camp at Khwai (Moremi) in a very comfortable and roomy tent with attached bathroom--hot showers were provided each day and there was a proper loo! This was definitely a glamping experience--the campsite was pitched alongside a large waterhole and we feel asleep to the grunting of hippos wallowing in the shallows. Nothing was too much trouble for the efficient camp staff who provided us with delicious meals, drinks and excellently prepared cakes with which to celebrate (in advance) the birthday and wedding anniversary. Brian, our game guide, was extremely knowledgeable and we had 3 days of good game and bird viewing including a pride of 12 lions on a kill, a leopard with two cubs, two packs of wild dog, loads of elephants and other animals.
We flew onto Kanana Camp (15 mins away) which is a permanent camp on the edge of the delta, for 3 nights in wonderfully well located spacious en-suite rooms overlooking a large lake. Again the hospitality and meals provided was very impressive--a candlelit dinner out in the bush and a private dinner by the camp's pool were laid on for us with great charm, atmosphere and attention to detail. We spent a night under the stars in the camp's skybed listening to animals calling--absolutely magical and unforgettable. Our game guide Simon was excellent with a good sense of humour--we viewed a wide variety of game and birds in the Kenana private concession area including a lioness on a kill with 4 cubs, leopard (male and female), elephant, hippo, buffalo and the like. Activities included mokorro trips into the delta, a walking safari and a motorboat trip all of which were well worth taking leaving us with a well rounded appreciation of the different environments and animals of the area.
We cannot recommend ODE more highly--their attention to detail before departure from the UK and during our trip was superb. Everything was meticulously planned and worked without a hiccup. ODE made this trip a trip of a lifetime with so many shared memories and experiences that will stay with us for a very long time to come. Thank You and Bravo!

Louise Fitzgerald of Okavango Delta Explorations set up and organized a most fabulous and fascinating trip to the Okavango Delta for 4 of us celebrating a birthday and wedding anniversary. We began in a Bush Camp in Khwai for 3 nights and then flew to a Fixed Camp Lodge. A perfect arrangement. Everybody was genuinely wanting to please and did and we could not have had a better experience. Our guides in both camps were the best in networking and knowing where the animal sightings were and getting us to them. We saw most everything especially cats (Leopard and Lions with cubs) and Wild Dog Packs. Botswana in general is magical and humbling.
Louise also arranged for us accommodations, transport, and recommended restaurants for our preceding week in Cape Town and in Franschhoek, SA. We had a superb time. Thank you Louise for all your inside knowledge and assessing who we were and what we wanted.
Memories will be with us forever. No complaints just accolades.
