Disillusioned customer
While on a trip to London for my Birthday in March I went into the Covent Garden store and was greeted by a lovely lady called Patrica. I treated myself to a watch I’d had my eye on for months.
Within 5 weeks it had stopped working, I contacted customer services who guided me to the Swico aftercare service.
I sent my watch away and within 10 days it was back, fitted with a new battery.
However….the day after receiving my watch back I noticed it had stopped working. I reset the time and it started ticking away. This happened 2 more times. Yesterday I contacted customer service who once again have advised I register my issues with Swico.
Once again, my beautiful watch just over 2 months old is being sent back for another repair and I’m left feeling like Olivia Burton are simply ‘ passing the book’ to the aftercare company and not dealing with the issue themselves.
It’s a shame as in the past I e purchased a watch, ring and necklace for my daughter as gifts, this is the first Olivia Burton product I’ve brought for myself and sadly I won’t be treating myself to the matching bracelet to a watch that is evidently faulty

The customer service I have received has been great. A bracelet I purchased had a fault In the clasp and Olivia Burton was able to send me a replacement with no questions. They always replied quickly with any questions I had, I will most definitely be buying from Olivia Burton again.

Ordered a pair of earrings from Olivia Burton and accidentally received the wrong item.
I contacted Olivia Burton directly to query what the process would be of returning the item and having the correct earrings sent out.
I had the pleasure of dealing with Farah who was so friendly, informative and helpful during the whole process of ensuring that the correct earrings were sent to us. I really appreciated his help and would like to thank him for this.

I have a favourite pair of earrings from here and it came to my attention the other day that one of the charms has fallen off and I couldn’t find it anywhere. I was gutted because I love the earrings so much.
I contacted Olivia Burton via email and got a reply the next morning !!!
They offered me a 50% off code , so I could purchase the earrings again without having to pay the full amount!!

Overpriced costume jewellery that falls apart
I've bought several items from Olivia Burton, three of which have completely fallen apart within weeks of having them. The first time this happened, I purchased the rainbow bee necklace. The pendant fell off the chain in the first week. Believing this to be a one-off, I accepted the offer of a replacement as I really liked it. Having had the replacement a few months but only worn it a handful of times, the exact same thing has now happened with this one. So I'm now left with an expensive necklace I can't wear. I also purchased a pair of pearl hoop earrings and the post fell off within a week. After contacting them about this, I actually received a rather snotty reply about their earrings not being covered. This is a £50 pair of earrings! I did get a replacement but only after persevering. I have now come to the conclusion this company is selling overpriced costume jewellery tat and I won't be purchasing anything else from them. I'm so disappointed to have spent this much money on a pendant that's now useless. And given the service I had from them recently about the earrings, I don't feel there is even any point reaching out for another replacement. A once loyal customer now lost.

Fab Jewellery matched with amazing customer service
I love Olivier Burton jewellery and when I lost the back from one of my favourite earrings all replacements I tried were loose. I contacted Customer Services to see if I could buy one and although they are not sold separately Libby managed to source one and post it to me first class with no charge. I can now continue to wear them without fearing I will lose it. Massive thank you to Libby

Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. Bought my daughter a watch and matching bracelet for Xmas. She wore it once and the strap became discolured. I contacted Olivia burton who told me that the watch straps were not under guarantee, but I wouldn’t expect the product to be unwearable after literally wearing it once! I was asked to forward in photographic evidence which I did, 3 months and 3 emails later still not had a response. My daughter is not able to wear the watch…. £120 wasted. Buy from somewhere else, unless you want to be ripped off!

I used to be a fan of Olivia Burton and bought a watch, necklace and earrings, however found out that the quality is shocking for the price. Make sure you know that the materials are awful, not sterling silver and in a matter of time go black and you throw away. Learnt my lesson.

Items delivered in poor condition
Ordered an engraved gold pendant for a Mother's Day gift but when it arrived the face of the pendant was horribly scratched.
Adrian arranged for a replacement to be sent, which was much appreciated, but the replacement has arrived and again, it's horribly scratched.
There's something clearly wrong with Olivia Burton's manufacture, engraving or shipping process that's causing these items to be delivered in poor condition & it's ruined the gift I wanted to give my wife from our young son. Very disappointing.

£45 ring turned finger green
Bought a ring from them for £44.50. Within the space of 1 to 2 weeks it had turned my finger green. If I had bought this from a high street store for less than a tenner I'd expect this. I complained and they said it's because I shouldn't wear it using moisturiser, hand gel (given covid we are all using every day and I'm expected to take my ring off every time???) Or any creams and this is the advice they give. They offered me a refund of 10% and a discount off future orders. Firstly 10% is absolutely nothing in comparison and just kept falling behind the fact I should read their advice. For nearly 50 quid I'm disappointed by the quality. I've had the ring off for a couple of weeks and still have a mark on my finger. I'd avoid. It's expensive for bad quality. Such a shame as I loved the look of the products. Steer clear and go to Claire's instead.

Celestial necklace far too small.
Gifted the celestial silver moon/stars necklace. Attempted to wear at weekend and it couldn’t close around my neck, far too short. It looked so tiny I got confused wondering if it was actually an ankle chain. On measuring the length it was 13.5”. I contact company who tell me to move slider, chain should measure 15”. I did this and it only measured 14”. My petite friend tried it for me and found the necklace too tight. Olivia Burton refuse to acknowledge measurement is not accurate and tell me to discuss with person who gifted it to me. Unfortunately I was gifted it in January and only tried to wear it first time at weekend. So I’m left with a necklace that would only fit a younger or very slim person. At £65 this is a waste of a gift. The site does not advise on the length of the chain and I notice many reviews praising the product on site are from people buying as a gift for someone but, there are also reviews stating it is too short. Please be aware when viewing this product. In the responses from them they are refusing to acknowledge this chain is not the length it should be. I was sent an image of the chain from web, stating they have model shots showing length. In no way possible is the model wearing a 14” chain that is hanging loosely around her neck. The image on web is highly inaccurate in relation to length. I am now told they may have rounded from cm to the nearest inch. An inch shorter is hardly an approximation. A clever way to get out of resolving issues relating to gifts, despite fact there is obviously a fault. Their final response after sending an image to prove that it is only 14” it to tell me they will update their sizing chart and to again, go back to the person who bought this for me as a gift, despite the fact they won’t be able to do anything as it was bought over 49 days ago.
I have changed my review to add an extra star. After proof of my friends purchase I have to return the item and my friend will get a refund. Whilst this is a good outcome, I really had to push for this. It really should have been easier and I feel the reluctance to do this comes from the hope that someone will give up and end their complaint. Also, it does not take away from the length of the chain itself and lack of info on this.
Thank you for the feedback. When I was advised to contact my friend in second response, I did reply that the gift had been bough a few weeks prior, not only in my last correspondence. But, I am happy with the outcome as it would have been a waste of a gift. Thank you.
