Amazing Customer Service

I had issues with the delivery and Olivia’s were so proactive to help resolve the problem. A new item was ordered within the day, and their team were fantastic. I can’t wait for my replacement cabinet to arrive!

Mirror delivered smashed in the box

Ordered a mirror arrived ten days later smashed to bits in the box because there was absolutely no packaging apart from the cardboard box. Told this was “sent by the supplier” not sure what that has to do with anything an item should be packaged correctly if ordered from this company? Then I had to chase everyday for 4 days to get them to confirm I can get rid of the smashed mirror in the very large box blocking up my house because they might need it back? Absolute waste of time don’t even bother ordering from here.

This isn’t the level of service we aim to provide, and your feedback has been passed on internally so we can address both the packaging issue and the communication delays to ensure this doesn’t happen again.

Horrible delivery and costumer service

I ordered two wardrobes, quite expensive order, and paid for a white gloves delivery. the delivery company called 3 weeks later giving me no option for delivery date. They indicate one date only, which was a working day and I could not be home. When I asked for an alternative date, they said it would be a month after and wanted to charge £75 for storage reasons. Olivia's was not proactive in any way to support me. Eventually I had to pay extra £75 to get it delivered on a Saturday. Feels like a scam to me.
I found this completely unacceptable, and shows no respect for costumers. People cannot stay home at the disposal of a delivery service they pay for.

This is an exceptionally busy time of year for our delivery partners, and while they manage their own scheduling, you absolutely should not have been left with only one delivery option, especially one you weren’t able to accommodate. We completely understand how unreasonable and inconvenient that felt.

The additional £75 charge for a Saturday delivery is a fee set by the courier for out-of-hours service, but we should have been more proactive in supporting you and helping find a suitable solution without you feeling unsupported. I’m very sorry that this wasn’t handled as it should have been.

Your experience is not reflective of the level of service we aim to provide, and your feedback has been passed on so we can address this with the courier and improve how we communicate and assist customers during busy periods.

Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we truly apologise for the frustration caused.

Dreadful Service

Dreadful delivery service order #194930. Day 1, notified of delivery but no delivery. Spoke to courier after taking day off and had to take another day, only 1 of two items arrived. Case opened with Olivia's as order says fulfilled. Olivia's closed the case despite me sending an email from their courier, who subcontracted the delivery, confirming the second item hadn't been delivered and they didn't know when it would be.
Tried to call Olivia's customer service but the line just cuts off the call after 3-4 minutes.
A simple delivery has cost me more time off work than the price of the items. To make it worse they threaten to charge you if you're not in to take delivery. Not impressed!
Update, despite filling in another customer service form 2 days ago, no reply and STILL no delivery of my part order

This is an exceptionally busy time of year, and your item is delivered directly from our manufacturer, which unfortunately means delays can occur outside of our control. That said, we have been doing everything possible behind the scenes to get this resolved for you, and I’m very sorry that this hasn’t been reflected in your experience so far.

Your case should not have been closed prematurely, and I apologise for the added stress this caused. We are continuing to chase the manufacturer and the courier to get your remaining item delivered.

Regarding our phone lines, we’re aware of the increased call volume at this time of year and are working to improve this so customers can reach us more easily.

Faulty goods not replaced

Order a console table 4 weeks ago, table arrived and it’s faulty. Was told it would be replaced last week took a day off work. Nothing arrived. Have asked 3 times for a managers details totally ignored. Faulty table sat waiting collection with no date and all you can say someone from the manufacturer will be in touch. Simply not good enough you have been paid in good faith and I’ve no product!!
I would not recommend this company for anything customer services is awful 😞

As your order was delivered directly from our supplier, we have to liaise with them for replacements and collections. This is the busiest time of year for our manufacturers, but please be assured that we always do everything we can to chase them for swift resolutions and updates. We completely understand how disappointing it is to take time off work and not receive the replacement as expected.

We apologise that you’ve had to follow up multiple times and felt ignored; that is never our intention. We are actively pushing our supplier for a confirmed collection and replacement date and will continue to do so until this is fully resolved for you.

My item arrived damaged through the…

My item arrived damaged through the transportation of delivery. The customer service support I received as a result was excellent and the matter was resolved immediately.

I have purchased other items from Olivia’s without any issue and this was something out of their control.

Due to my previous experiences and the support received on this occasion, it will not prevent me from purchasing from, or recommending others to, Olivia's in the future.

For us to be able to offer such an extensive range as we do on site, we do deliver some items directly from the manufacturer. I note that you did contact us shortly after purchase to see if we were able to improve on the advertised lead time, and our agent responded to you a few hours later to explain why this would not be possible in this instance.

Our lead times are advertised above the add to cart button on site and then sent out to everybody in the order confirmation email. I can see that your order was dispatched yesterday and is due to be delivered to you today. You will have received a dispatch notification yesterday with the link to track the delivery and options for the delivery day.

An excellent experience

The item we ordered fits our home perfectly and was delivered quickly and in perfect condition. We have never used Olivia’s before but would consider them for future homeware purchases because the quality, price and individuality of the items are excellent.

Ordered a side table and paid extra for…

Ordered a side table and paid extra for Olivia’s transit-damage insurance. Their website clearly stated delivery to mainland Scotland was included. The next day, I was told there had been a “glitch” and that their supplier wouldn’t deliver to my area unless I paid an extra £75. They offered to cover half “as a goodwill gesture,” which is ridiculous—my address is mainland West Scotland.

They then refunded the order but kept the £2.50 insurance fee, even though nothing was ever dispatched. Only after I challenged it did they return it, again calling it “goodwill.” Completely unacceptable experience from start to finish. The mistake was clearly their end and should have been rectified correctly.

I completely understand your frustration regarding the delivery charge. In some cases, certain items are dispatched directly from our suppliers, and some of these suppliers apply a surcharge for deliveries to specific postcodes in mainland Scotland. This is outlined on our website under our 'Delivery Information' section.

We’re very sorry for the confusion caused. The refund for the insurance fee was unfortunately missed in error, but as soon as you brought this to our attention, it was processed immediately.

Poor communication

I’m gutted I didn’t get my 1st 5% discount email when I registered so I lost out on my 1st order. Ordered my item 2 weeks ago only to receive an email today that it isn’t no longer available. After 2 emails chasing eta of my order.

Beautiful items, great service

The Olivias website is full of the most gorgeous items which I kept going back to over and over again. Ordered 3 items : the ribbon knot sculpture; Merapi lava ball vase and Merapi large vase for my new lounge as I decided to treat myself to some lovely ornaments and sculptural pieces having recently redecorated. All 3 arrived within the expected lead time via DPD in two separate deliveries. The level of packaging was superb so that the items were in perfect condition. They were absolutely as described and exactly like the photos on the website. lovely items that were worth the splurge and add an extra touch to the room. Thoroughly recommended.
