Best customer service by far!

I had a return/exchange and the customer support people were amzing to work with. Quick and very helpful. I got my order returned, refuneed and a new order for the correct size all done in days! And they even did the price match with my original order. Thank you so very much!

Fake coat

This coat is not at all similar to the one on the picture. The fur is white, and the general coat color is not deep blue. In addition the inside finishings are of poor quality. I believe this coat is a fake or counterfeit of a Woolrich parka.

Dishonest Review Process

I purchased a pair of Salewa Gore-Tex waterproof hiking boots one year ago. After the first long hike, both boots developed major leaks. I tried to review these boots so as to warn others but the review could not be accepted because I did not recommend the product. The review form asked me to prove I was not a robot. I did. The form acknowledged that I was not a robot. But when I submitted the review with one star and a negative recommendation, I became a robot and the review was rejected. Stay away from this company.

If you were unsatisfied with your purchase, you could have contacted our customer service department, or our warranty/returns department and had this problem quickly resolved. Although we are a small local business, our philosophy is to make sure our customers are happy and taken care of. We go to pretty great lengths via customer service to stay afloat amongst our competitors.

If you ever have a problem with anything you purchase, usually talking with the company is a great place to start before making a complaint that will be smeared against them indefinitely. I am looking at your order record and see nowhere that you reached out to us about your dissatisfaction (perhaps this is an error?). Great price, super fast shipping!

I purchased a North Face Jester backpack from OMCgear (via Amazon.com) and could not be more happy with the product! Also, I am super impressed with the shipping - it came the very next day! Now that is instant gratification! The item was packed very well, and I am very happy with it. I would buy from OMCgear again in the future without reservation.

Dishonest, not willing to honor cashback offer

I placed an order following a link from a cashback website Activejunky where OMCgear advertises a 15% cash back. Despite my purchase being tracked and complying with all their conditions (no coupon codes etc), the company just decided to deny cashback on a whim. False advertising to say the least. I will be refusing the delivery of my order and will not do business with them again.

Oregon Mountain Community is in no way affiliated with the website you cite in your review (active junky). Coupons are uploaded to that website by consumers, much to the dismay of retailers like us. I am contacting the company immediately to address their false advertising for your benefit, and for ours. Those coupon are mostly invalid, but we can do nothing to remove it from the internet at large -- they will haunt us forever, it seems.

If you would like cash back for your transaction, you will need to contact the company that is advertising cash back: active junky - -not Oregon Mountain Community, as we in no way advertise such a service. It would mean a great deal to us if you would edit or remove your review of us on trust pilot, as it is simply not true.

Overall Great Experience

My son's cross country skate boots fell apart and I heeded to replace them but could not find a pair in his size in locally. Searched on line and finally found a pair in his size. This was the middle of the week and and he was scheduled to ski on Sat. They were ordered and received one day later. I was extremely happy to receive them so quickly. Recommend

Excellent outdoors store

This is a great outdoors goods store, both for the local community in Oregon, as well as for online shopping and purchasing. They have a great selection, are prompt in shipping, clear in communication, and very flexible about returns and exchanges. Definitely recommend.

Best pricing for top brands!

My online experience was perfect. I was shopping for a specific North face backpack and found it for $15 less than all other stores. I received a free Northface water bottle as a bonus! Shipping was free and was shipped within an hour after ordering. I will definitely shop here again!

Beware Returning Items

I ordered boots online for work, a position where I am on my feet for about 16 hours per day. I wore the boots in my home for about an hour to see if they could be broken in to where I could wear them on a daily basis. After about an hour, I determined that the boots were not comfortable, and shipped them back to the store for a return.

After two weeks, I received an email from customer service offering me only 70% of my purchase price for the boots to be returned or 100% for an exchange, saying the boots were returned dirty! I offered to pay a 10% restocking fee, but refused to pay 30%...especially since they were obviously willing to keep my money in pocket and offer 100% if I spent it all back with them. We finally "settled" on 20%, but in the end I was out $80 including S/H.

Not happy with customer service at all, and WILL NOT ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!! BEWARE ordering items from this company IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE YOUR ITEM WILL NOT WORK OUT...not only will you be out S/H, you will be out whatever they decide is fair!

I understand you are frustrated. This is a lose lose situation for all parties involved. We are not trying to profit off these boots. We are in the business of selling new equipment. When customers purchase from our company they do not expect to receive boots with dirt embedded in the soles. When we receive boots that are dirty we have no options for resale. We wanted you to get a pair of boots that worked for you, that is why we offered a store credit. You opted for cash back and we obliged. The overall fee was $45. Our returns policy clearly states that all returns must be in unused, resell-able condition and all returns are to be done at the expense of the buyer. Horrible service

I placed an order on 3/4 for a birthday gift. I expected the item to arrive on 3/11 (with 5 day shipping), and was emailed Monday afternoon that my order was cancelled and that the item was not in stock. I should have been notified immediately that the item was not in stock, but now I am forced to tell my son that the gift I promised him for his birthday will not arrive here before he has to go back to college. With the late notice, there is now no time to purchase the same item at another company in order for it to arrive in time. Thanks to the service at OMC, I won't be able to give my son a birthday present for his actual birthday.
