My 9 year old has taken part in CBT…
My 9 year old has taken part in CBT sessions to support his anxiety.
The sessions were age-appropriate, engaging, and delivered by Jan Carlton who was fun, enthusiastic, and helped create a positive and supportive environment.
Developing a better understanding of anxiety triggers and the link between thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. They have been introduced to coping strategies such as breathing exercises and positive self-talk, which they are beginning to use with adult support.
Jan has been amazing and our son’s confidence has really grown over the past 10weeks - thank you Jan 😊

Excellent Service. My therapist Lindsay was truly awesome. I was in physical and mental pain from bereavement and wasn't convinced 'talking' would do me any good after all, how can talking help my physical pain? I wasn't convinced and I didn't want to talk. Lindsay however gradually drew me out of myself with warmth, understanding and support. I can't speak highly enough how her approach helped. Thank you so much Onebright! Forever grateful Lindsay!

Babalwa has been a great help to my teenage daughter. The sessions were well structured and my daughter learnt a lot of practical strategies and was expected to experiment and try out her goals. My daughter appreciated the honest, straight forward feedback and felt safe to open up and share difficult thoughts and feelings. Highly recommend.
CBT sessions
It has been great working with my therapist Diana for the past few months and her help with CBT has been important in helping me feel better. The techniques that I have been taught have been integral in helping me manage my anxiety and depression and understanding myself much better. Diana’s calm, supportive and positive approach has been so important in helping me feel relaxed and comfortable enough to open up. She has been excellent.
Assessment felt pre-decided rather than collaborative
The assessment felt pre-decided rather than collaborative. CBT was recommended despite me explaining it hasn’t helped before, and alternatives weren’t discussed. I was told I’d be called back to discuss my decision, but the follow-up call was instead to book an appointment, and promised email follow-up didn’t happen.
Update: The response from Onebright did not address the specific concerns raised, instead reiterating general guidance around CBT without acknowledging the lack of collaborative discussion, the absence of alternative options, or the missed follow-up communication.

i felt really comfortable with my therapist, he showed me some decent techniques to help me and he was patient which helped me feel more comfortable with opening up to him, we've agreed it wasn't there right kind of therapy to begin with since i still haven't been diagnosed for adhd or autism yet but when i am and i need therapy again for that i really hope to get james again

Pritesh creates a safe, non-judgemental environment and has a calm, supportive approach, while also being able to appropriately challenge unhelpful thought patterns. I always felt understood, and his guidance helped me develop a clearer and more balanced perspective, particularly around anxiety and self-criticism.
Since working with Pritesh, my anxiety has reduced significantly, my relationships have improved, and I feel more confident and able to cope with challenges both personally and professionally. The changes have been meaningful and long-lasting.
