This company may no longer exist

This company went into administration and may no longer exist. I don't have full details but understand that customers may not be compensated. Anyone who paid money to the company, should be able to discover full details, from the Financial Conduct Authority. At the end of July 2022, the FCA took legal control over companies offering pre-paid funeral plans. My understanding is, that companies offering pre-paid funeral plans after that time, had to be legally registered with the FCA or face prosecution for failing to do so but I may be wrong. The FCA issued a formal Decision Notice on the 15 July 2022, stating that the company was unfit to be registered. The FCA number to ring at that time was 020 7066 4128.

Gone bust

What's gone wrong? They went bust, that's what's gone wrong. After telling people that their money was safe in a trust fund they spent it to keep the business afloat and then sank owing people thousands. The Trustees have failed in their duty.

Con artists

Paid in full £1495 by direct debiton 2303/2022. Should have paid by credit card. Biggest con ever. I am a widow on pension credit and I used some of my small savings pot to ensure my children did not have to fork out for my funeral. I don't know what to do now.

I am so angry with one life

I am so angry with one life. Total bloody scam. All my hard earned cash gone to these people. The fsa forced the company into administration, meaning everyone who's paid in looses all their money. This is not right. These companies should not be allowed to start if there is no protection for those who have paid in. Time for watch dog! I may not get my money back but I'll be sure to make a big noise about these two individuals who started the company!

Well it's the end of June 2023 and not a word

Well it's the end of June 2023 and not heard anything from all parties concerned in this SCAM. Thanks FCA for forcing this company to go into administration so everybody loses that not to say One Life wern't planning to absconde with our funeral monies who knows and lastly the administrators what's happening? In this case SILENCE IS ROTTEN how can this be a fair country when nobody cares what happens to our hard earned money now I suppose we will have to have a paupers funeral (leave your dead out for collection on bin day) As you can tell I'm not happy, well done HMG.

Scammers, gone bust, get your funds back from November '22 onwards. Everything else you lost

So, like many others I was scammed into this Funeral Plan.
All your money before November 2022 you have lost. They say there 'May be a partial Refund', but we all know that is not going to happen. Because the the liquidation company 'Quantoma' will fill their own pockets first. And in the letter it already states there is not enough to pay the funds back. Only the money you have paid from November 2022 onwards you can get back. I have requested a refund. And they will charge almost a 100 pound admin fee.
So much for the 'Finance Conduct Authority'. It means nothing. You are not protected. I can only thank God that I made the decision at the time to pay monthly and not a lumpsum at once which was an option. I would have lost it all. Because for the people dying now, they have to pay the funeral. So that is your money and my money used to cremate and burry other policy holders.

Orchestrated the whole situation to continue to gain money from us all.

Shameful & non committal attitude.

Notified they’d gone into liquidation and to keep paying as they’re looking for another company to take over.
Not heard anything else!
No update - no advice.

Continued to make the payments.
Heard nothing from my emails to them for an update. Funny though when I advised them I’d stopped the direct debit they emailed me back.

I was told by Onelife to pay for cremation as Direct debit which I did .Can't get money back as told I should have used credit card .Is it wrong that I save up for years to pay for funeral out of my own money and don't have credit cards .Why should I put myself in debt just to please these people .I am a pensioner and can't afford to save that amount up again .They took my money on January 21st 2022
