Lawn service didn't show up for 5 weeks - no response from company. One of the reasons they cited for the no show was "raining" and it hadn't rained in Dallas for over a month. I cancelled six months... See more

STAY AWAY from this business
STAY AWAY from this business. It's a fraud and the worst service I have ever experienced. I signed up for weed control and grass cutting. They kept delaying service and do not answer the phone. I only had weed control once and they never came back. They did not cut my grass every two weeks like they were suppose to. Instead they came every 3-4 weeks then double charged me because my grass was over 8inches. It WOULDNT have been over 8 inches if they came when they said they would. They tried to send emails blaming their poor service on the weather but it hasn't rained in 2 weeks and I still haven't had service. I just received an email from them yesterday saying they were coming to cut my grass that day. Guess what, they never came AGAIN. I am canceling TODAY and will report this business to BBB. Please pay the extra money and choose a real service and not this horrible excuse for a business. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Services: Lawn mowing / maintenance, Weed control

Horrible Customer Service
Unable to get a hold of them everytime I called it was a process. I would usually get hung up on several times. I had used both the Mowing Service and Waste removal. The Waste removal company would charge me without servicing my address, or miss days and not be notified. I understand it has been raining but they keep moving out the day they are going to service my lawn. The Lawn service has been pushed out for 3 weeks now. I live in an HOA and I cannot have my grass as high as it is now. There is just no accountablility on the service being missed or not done within a decent timeframe.

DON'T DO IT!
It sounds like I had a lot of the same issues as the others on here. I should have checked reviews first. I have a full explanation below if you want to read it but in short, I ended up paying $48 and hours with customer service for one cut of my small yard (no edging).
I found their advertisement on next door. They were inexpensive and let me do biweekly so I figured it was worth a try. My first indication that this company was shady is that they added on a $3 per visit service charge that I didn't see noted until the very last screen while I was signing up.
First visit... they delayed the cut and tried to charge me after the original date before the yard was actually cut. I emailed customer service, they didn't charge me at that point and said they would get someone out a soon as possible. They got someone out a few days later and charged me after that. The cut was a little sloppy and they didn't edge at all. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe because they had to squeeze me in, they didn't have time. They sent out a generic "how happy are you with our service" text. I have them a 3. Surprisingly, they got in touch with me to see what the problem was. They said they were going to open a service ticket to make sure it doesn't happen again.
The second visit is where it REALLY went off of the rails. The day of my scheduled service, they pushed it to the next day. There was no notification. I had to go on to my account on find to find that out. They continued to do this every day for almost a week. Because I was only doing biweekly, the yard was looking pretty bad but because "they were coming tomorrow", I wouldn't cut it. One of my neighbors actually cut my yard 3 days into the delay. I think it was the neighbors across the street trying to sell their house. I felt horrible and embarrassed they had to do that. The lawn guy supposedly finally shows up 2 days later (5 days after original date) and I was sent an invoice. If they were there, they didn't edge or cut the side yard. I can't tell if they cut the front yard or not because it had just been cut 2 days earlier. I was at home all day and never heard a lawn mower.
I emailed customer service and asked that they either not bill me and cancel my service or send someone out to actually do the job. I got an answer back that they canceled my service. Nothing said about not charging me. I checked my credit card and they charged me... of course. I called customer service and left a message. I never received a call back. I called again a couple of days later. The first girl I talked to gave me a $10 refund and said that if I wanted the whole amount back, she would have to pass me on to her manager. I spoke with the manager and was put on hold multiple times. Eventually, she told me that she was going to have to look into it more because "something wasn't adding up", inferring that she thought I was lying. She eventually called me back and left a message with a direct number. I called the phone number and I got a generic message saying that it was a number that could not receive calls. At that point, I gave up and just chalked it up to a loss and a learning experience.
Long story long, don't use one neighbor or ultra lawn service if you are in Tampa Bay unless you want a lot of frustration for nothing in return.

Lawn Twilight Zone
I can’t even begin to explain the level of frustration I am and have been so experiencing because of OneNeighbor not giving a flying crap about their customers. I thought it was strange that they would cancel and moved dates without consulting the customer at all, but didn’t mind as long as the lawn was getting mowed. Then, I was mildly irritated when they cancelled every winter service because I guess they didn’t think it was worth it to provide a service monthly, even though they offered it. After that, I was extremely upset and disappointed when they not only let my dog out, but sent me a picture of the finished lawn with the gate wide open. At that point I had to cancel my service because it was clear that the company couldn’t manage their contractors or even maintain a semblance of consistency.
A couple months passed, and I figured everything probably is getting back to the new normal and decided to sign up for bi-weekly service on sort of a probational situation. My first service was scheduled for 12 days after I signed up so I asked if there was any way that it could be moved up because I had family coming by. They responded that due to delays, I’d have to keep my original date and I responded that that was fine. I then received a mass newsletter that they sent to customers that essentially said “if you want us to provide you service, you won’t have any luck unless you pay us weekly instead,” which is an insane thing to do/say.
The eighth comes and passes and I am EXTREMELY CONFUSED. I am in some sort of lawn-mowing Twilight Zone hell. I look at my subscription and they 8th has been removed from my calendar and my new date is the TWENTY-SECOND, a FULL MONTH from when I signed up. I decided to reach out from customer service at this point and asked that one, I be returned to one of the next people in queue since I was skipped entirely after confirming the date I was signed up for, and 2 that I receive a concrete date for when the service will be complete. I received the “tentative date” of the 11th from Customer Service and responded that I would like someone at the appropriate level to contact me so that I can receive a concrete date of service and just general reassurance that this is a real business? No response. I sent another email.
It is almost 4PM on the 11th. Lawn unmowed.

I signed up for the biweekly mowing and…
I signed up for the biweekly mowing and have had nothing but issues with them since they started servicing my lawn in March. First the didn't mow the strip of lawn behind my rear fence (they keep telling that customer satisfaction is their top priority). That strip of lawn still has not been mowed. Next the mowed the wrong lawn and tried to bill me for it. The last time that the serviced my lawn was on May 10th. I keep getting emails saying that they are going to be out the next day to service my lawn, then they don't show up. You can only talk to a receptionist if you try to call them. All I get is emails saying they are sorry and the problem will be corrected as soon as possible. Well five weeks has passed and they still have not corrected the problem.

Total garbage
I’d give it zero stars if I could. Trust the other reviews. This is total trash. Contractors left our gate open twice. Dogs got out. Got tired of waiting for them so I mowed. They came by the next day after I tried to cancel. They came by, took a picture of my work, then charged me for it.

Don't use if you want the yard mowed
I got exactly 1 visit from a yard crew in well over a month and I was signed up for weekly mowings.. My dates were constantly cancelled due to rain. I will admit it rained quite a bit but every single other house on my block had crews (not this horrible company) come out twice by the time I had to buy a mower. The one time they sent a crew they did an embarrassingly bad job and sent me the same picture 5 times of someone else's house. Do not use this service.
good news! over a year later they replied to this review! Timely!

DOT USE. LOOK ON GOOGLE REVIEWS.
A totally failed business!!! I was delayed for a month, despites several promises and reschedules from OneNeighbor. I cancelled their service and moved to a different vendor, who is $5 more/month but so much more reliable. This low rate will not sustain their business. So, you need to be realistic and have a plan B. Look on Google Reviews, sort by Newest. The company removed all the negative reviews from their Facebook page!

Terrrrrrible DO NOT USE
I had a visit scheduled for Wednesday, they never showed up. I called the customer service line and was told they would be showing up Friday. Friday came around and no one showed up, again. Called once more, scheduled for Monday, Monday rolled around and they said it would be delayed until Tuesday. It's now Tuesday, my lawn still has not been mowed, I've reached out to the customer service line via email and phone and have never gotten an answer. THIS IS A SCAM.

Totally agree with comments in reviews…
Totally agree with comments in reviews here. They changed our appointment several times. Pushing it back one day to take our money if we cancelled. Started on Tuesday a no show. Called and they said they were delayed. Called again several times and could not reach anyone. Not sure if it was a one off reaching some one. They moved scheduled appointments to Weds., Thursday, Friday, Saturday, back to Friday, than back to Saturday again. Next a no show again, missed appointment. Now it says Sunday 5/30 delayed. No option to cancel services. Use at your own risk, trying to save money equals this horrific service. First experience and they have my card on file to charge. Bait and switch. They are consistently getting bad reviews. With my experience I can understand why. Over promised and undelivered. Never again for this mowing service. Grass out of control now, thanks to them now showing and missing appointments. We have not seen them charge us, yet the 24hr cancellation policy is crooked pushing it out one day each time, leaving no room to cancel without trying to take your money. Crooks yeah, that is pretty much it.

DO NOT USE!!!
Same as other reviews. Unreliable. Constantly rescheduling. Not showing up. Submitting pics of job done from other people’s property. My backyard grass is 2 feet tall! And yet I’m constantly being billed. If I could could give -5 stars, I would. Save yourself a huge headache. Don’t waste your time.

Not dependable
My service was supposed to start on Monday May 25, 2021. No one showed up, then it was scheduled for May 25, no one showed up, then it was scheduled for May 26, no one showed up, then it was scheduled for May 28, no one showed up, but yet I get an email saying the job was complete and here is the invoice and pictures of my house. Not my house, lawn was never cut. I even let a message for the lawn company, telling them they didn't come to my house. I even emailed One Neighbor on May 27th to cancel my service. Then yesterday, my bank account was drafted for the amount of the service that was supposed to happen. This company is a farce, DO NOT EVER TRUST THEM.

Poor customer support
We started with them about a month ago. They started off great - app was helpful and reliable, lawn service did a great job and prices were reasonable. Now, it's been two weeks since they've cut our lawn, and today showed as "scheduled" til about 10 minutes ago. Now it shows as "delayed" til tomorrow (though it's already been rescheduled three times this week without notice). I know the rain has caused issues, but the combination of schedule changes without notice and a COMPLETE lack of communication is frustrating to say the least. It's like they lure you in with good initial results then figure they can blow you off from there. Our backyard is approaching dangerous to let our dog out, and I am afraid of being fined by our HOA for the front. Unacceptable!
EDIT: 5/30/2021 Went ahead and bought my own lawn mower since while I am technically on the schedule for today I have zero confidence anyone is going to show up. And of course, still zero communication. Very frustrating.

Do your research before picking this company.
AVOID THIS COMPANY!!
*Bait and switch pricing
*Unreliable service
*Ever changing service dates
*Allusive customer service
*Won’t respond to BBB inquiries
They quoted a price and then raised it by 40% no notice on their first service on 4/20
Next service on 4/26, they cut someone else’s lawn, charged me for it, and finally responded 5 days later. Still wasn’t cut.
Then their dashboard shows 5/5!! Sorry but 15 days between lawn cutting is UNACCEPTABLE service for SE Texas in Spring.
On 5/2, they send a notice staying they’d cut my yard on 5/3. Never showed up.
5/11. They cut someone else lawn, charge me for it and won’t return my calls or emails.
As of 5/12 - They won’t even respond to my BBB complaint.
I’m not one to write reviews but this company is over the top.
Being responsive to customers is important, perhaps they’d get a better review if they’d at least respond right away!
