EDIT - It's been two days and NO ONE has contacted me regarding this issue. This company no longer has any of my trust.
They used to be good but what the hell has happened.
My credit card was compromised and as a result the bank put a hold on it, so I submited an update to my insurance payment. They never processed the change or responded to the submission.
They are not responding to emails, they are not answering their phone lines. Now my insurance is unable to be paid because they did not process the change.

The service call is very difficult to get through, I wait for about 1 hour, after connected, after I said 2 sentences, it was (accidentally?) cut off🥲🙄.
After I submitted the quote request online yesterday, so far I have not received the insurance policy.

This is by far the worst company I have interacted with. My car got totalled and they asked me to cancel my insurance with them, since I was insured with Verassure. They first told me on the phone that they will honor my accident forgiveness program and add that to the new policy. I spoke to the agent next day, requesting a new quote and the agent was extremely condescending and told me very rudely that they will not honor it.
Either way, I decided to cancel my insurance and find another insurance provider. Next month I again get billed for my old insurance on a totalled vehicle. I have been trying to call them and they never answer and just put me on hold hours together. I can't believe that they are still allowed to operate. When I login to their system, there is no mention of my claim or my cancellation of the insurance. All my emails have never been responded to.
Just find your insurance elsewhere, they are not worth your money.
Update: Jan 28th 2025
The only way to get them to answer is to write a scathing review on TrustPilot. I received a response explaining how they process cancellations. They mentioned that I will be receiving a refund next month. I am adding another star for that. I will update the review when I finally receive the refund.

I have been with the company for 2 years on 2 different cars, ever since their stupid merge happened, everything went to hell. I have been trying to pay my bill for December and it used to be easy since I could do it online but they’ve changed their entire website and I don’t know how to pay now. I have called numerous times and emailed countless times. But no response back at all. And my insurance is ending in a few days and I want to renew but I can’t because no one is getting back to me and the website has no option to do that either.

Loyal Onlia customer here. No answers to calls and no replies to emails for over a month now. What suspicious and disrespectful behaviour from an insurance company, of all things. People are left with no option but to have their credit card companies stop auto payments to force cancellation.
Instead of being transparent about whatever that's going on, they're blocking comments on social media and either removing reviews or providing generic, evasive replies to them. Be very careful before deciding on Onlia.

I had ordered a police on the Onlia website but after this they didn't provide me any information about my policy. I tried to call them but after 7 hours on the line in total nobody answered me. I don't recommend this insurance company!

I've tried absolutely everything I can to contact Onlia for several days in a row. I've been on hold and hung up on several times after waiting for hours. I desperately need my letter of experience sent to me by Onlia, and I need it today, because my insurance expires tomorrow and I'll be unable to use my car!

I did not like the interaction with the person on the phone.. he put me on hold 5 times then he didnt answer my questions clearly and he didnt do what he was suppose to do.. he never send me a copy of pink slip by email.. the moment inask him question he suddenly put me on jold then hung up the call when i was asking him the last question… and he didnt explain me well about anyth… do disappointed…

Iv been trying to cancel my policy for months. I no longer have the car. They continue to charge me for insurance. Don’t answer calls. Don’t answer emails. Fraud company. They owe me money…

THIS COMPANY HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, MY MOTHER CANCELLER HER HOME AND AUTO WITH THEM, AND THEY CONTINUED TAKING MONEY OUT FOR MONTHS, SHE SENT THEM EMAILS PRIOR TO HER RENEWAL DATE PHONECALLS, THEY WOULD NOT ANSWER AT ALL. THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAILS OR PHONECALLS. I BELIEVE THIS COMPANY WENT UNDER OR SOMETHING. BUT STAY AWAY , IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RESOLVE IT. MY MOTHER WILL BE TAKING LEGAL ACTION TO STOP THEM FROM WITHDRAWING MONEY FROM HER ACCOUNT. SHE HAS INSURANCE WITH ANOTHER PROVIDER.

if i could give this 0 stars i would. this company has stolen money from me, ignored MULTIPLE emails and phone calls about trying to pay my insurance after my card was cancelled due to fraud. i’ve called multiple times today alone, pressed the buttons to talk to the person necessary only to be HUNG UP on before even speaking to a human. all of my emails go unanswered, i’ve been trying to contact them for MONTHS. cancelled my insurance with them only to wake up this morning to over $600 missing from my account.

Daughter has tried repeatedly to cancel.since november 2024 by email and phone and today you took out 753.00 for insurance that she cancelled. Would like a refund. Your company is absolutely horrible and i could give a minus for a star it would minus 10 stars because you guys suck

The worst company in Canada I have ever faced. I emailed you, called you more than 5times, and no one responded. Even your live chat doesn't help. Even your mobile app isn't working. I am waiting for my verification documents more than 18 hours, and still nothing. I even don't know if I should try with others companies or not! I wish I would have never tried this insurance!
