Very basic
I recently invested in a Stocks and Shares ISA with OpenMoney at the same time as investing in a Lifetime ISA with another provider - I am new to investing so wanted to get a feel for what is out there. So far OpenMoney is ok but not as good as the other provider. For example, with my other provider I can choose to invest in different portfolios within my ISA, whereas with OpenMoney it seems like I have to stick with one portfolio risk level for the whole amount. Additionally, as other reviewers have mentioned, the only way to make a one-off payment is via a new direct debit, rather than being able to make a card payment or bank transfer. This means that any additional payments take at least a couple of weeks to go through. If you need something very, very basic then OpenMoney is great but even though I am new to this I have quite quickly wanted more. I guess the fees are low for a reason. Depends on your priorities I suppose. And beware the positive reviews that rate OpenMoney highly because people have had good returns - this is down to the state of the stock market and isn't really down to OpenMoney at all. You could make or lose money on any platform so reviews need to look a bit deeper than this, in my opinion!

The people have been helpful but everything seems to take an age to process and the portal needs improving. I have used other companies on these types of platforms and transactions are almost instant. I wont mind all of this though if performance of my investments is good

Hugely impressed with the returns on my Stocks and Shares ISA in the first month. Surpassed my expectations! Everything with the set up went as planned. It was a shame that there was a 2-week wait to get it set up. The app works: it shows my balance, an overview of my investments, and how much it has made. I would prefer to see more details about my account such as each of my deposits listed, graphs of the balance, and more insights. It's quite basic at the moment, but it does the job. I would personally like to see Open Money focus on expanding this section rather than having all the open banking sections, which I have connected on other apps so I don't feel the need to connect them here.
Overall, really happy and I'd definitely give 5* if the app features improved!

Very pleased
Wanted to start a stocks and shares ISA, found OpenMoney's website very easy to use. They suggested a 'phone interview to check I was getting to right product. Very pleased so far and only holding back 1 star because I'm at the start of my 'stocks and shares journey'.

Straightforward
I hadn't used an online investment platform before. OM was super easy, quick and straightforward to use and set up. What I really liked was the user-friendly and non-jargon way they communicated with me.

Hassle Free Pension Transfer
I used the OpenMoney portal to transfer 3 historical pensions that I had from previous employers. I tried this once before with a Financial Adviser and whole process was a nightmare from start to finish, with me having to visit during working hours. After months of trying, I gave up.
I have now managed to transfer the 3 pensions, with ease, using the OpenMoney portal, taking some advice along the way with a very knowledgeable advisor, Andrew.
The whole process took a little over a month and that was down to the pension providers taking so long to respond to OpenMoney.
I'd highly recommend this service, whether you have a pension to transfer or even a few quid to invest, you get the same treatment as somebody who has thousands to invest. it's really straightforward and user friendly

Process was very quick and simple to set up, with clear correspondence. I rarely take note of reviews-someone gives it 1 and someone else gives it 5 so it ends up with an average rating of 3. Proof will be in the pudding- do I get a decent return? MSE recommendations I find rarely wrong. Investments in stocks and shares always have an element of risk or reward-makes it all the more exciting!!

The lowest fees around
The lowest fees around. Personal advice via a phone conversation with a financial advisor (Hannah, who was great and I got great advice). However, I went to pay into my investment and the whole process was so long winded that I gave up. I found myself confused with the app as well. I am allegedly an intelligent person, but I could not understand the process or why it took so long. In the end, I took my investment elsewhere.

My experience with openmoney
My experience with openmoney was brief but excellent. Setting everything up was pretty straight forward, and though my investment took a few days to get settled, this isn't unusual for apps like this (I signed up to 3 different ISAs across 2 apps in a short period of time). The portfolio you are provided with seems very diverse, and though I can't vouch for the quality of everything on there, your money is diversified enough that the risk appears fairly minimal.
I then realised you can't open 2 ISAs of the same type in 1 tax year (take note, fellow beginners), and went to the live chat to ask if they could help me fix my rookie error! I spoke to Kyas (for the second time this month - the fact I got through to the same person is a huge bonus in my eyes), who promptly took me through the cancellation process, explained everything thoroughly and started the procedure to close my account within about 5 minutes of me beginning the chat!
Though I was only with them for a couple of weeks, they do appear to have made me 40p 😂, so I'll definitely be taking a look next tax year to see if they're still offering worthwhile investments!

So far so good
So far so good. I had a slight problem understanding how to set up the account so I took advantage of the call back option. They explained the mechanics and Also explained pension taxation to me in more detail than I’d needed before as I’m in a final salary scheme. I found the questionaire they provided useful on which products might suit my plans best.

The only way is up!
I do not know what all the fuss is about with the negative reviews, it does exactly what it says on the tin! I have my direct debit go out on a specific date each month and then everything is done for me whilst only having to pay minimal fees, what more do you actually want? I log in to the app and see my balance and the growth that I am getting, nothing fancy I agree but I have invested for my money to grow, not for some fancy add on features to the app. It is what it is. I am currently getting 6% returns! Keep up the great work Open-Money
