I bought the optiguard cam in 2022 and unless they did something drastic like made a new cam different from the one I bought then I suppose it’s the same POS I bought!
As a matter of fact I haven’t used it since the first week after I bought it and tried it out. It didn’t work like it said in the advertisement. The picture was terrible everything about it was 2nd rate.
I’ve made it a point to do my research before I buy anything without physically seeing and being able to make sure the product lives up to the hype!! So save your money and don’t waste it on this product!!

We bought 1 camera in March 2023, paid $77 for the light fitting to be changed to "screw in" and bought a memory card, all extra costs to pay before the camera could be used.
Notifications got turned off in the app by someone other than us and it was unscrewed by someone and stolen in November 2023.
Not 1 picture of the theif as they stayed behind the camera, so much for a security camera!!!

Ordered 3 cameras. Received relatively quickly but once husband got them up and running after trying to read fine print ( haha) ended up YouTube to get info. First week one broke then less than a week later another one broke. Emailed through PayPal with pics etc, we received 1 replacement. Emailed again with a complete run around back and forth emails. Said sending them asking fir proof again, then apologises, then saying sent and delivered with tracking numbers. I sent return email saying tracking numbers were for first delivery then only 1st warranty camera. Received another email saying refund given. W T F
Stupid company . DO NOT RECOMMEND
I googled company that sent and there us a long list of bad reviews.

I wrote a review earlier, before I had received the product
To my surprise I actually got it. 3 optiguards (I only wanted one!)
To install read the micro small instruction leaflet with indecipherable pictures- more like hieroglyphics!
Having screwed in the unit and powered it on you have to sign up to $59 (us or aud? Doesn't say) annual fee - per camera!
Then I discovered the memory issue...the device polls the router for every instruction you send it so it is permanently loading in memory and disconnects from the wifi during the process. That makes it unusable
I note that it uses sd memory but the card slots are empty! Maybe that's why?
Luckily I can get the subscription credited through apple
Stuck with the units and out of pocket by $200

Bought two of the plug in cameras one worked the other didn't trying to get a refund no chance have to send a video I did and got a email not sent inbox full so looks like I'm out of pocket DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM IT'S A RIP OFF.

I bought four of them I got them and they did not fit my socket as they stated it fits every socket. I tried them on a different one and it didn’t work, no light nothing. I have been trying to get my money back and they keep telling me send a video. I sent them a picture the day I got them because one box was broken. I sent a video and I still do not have a refund. They asked for another video I sent it and now this Nicole is asking for another video. They are scam do not buy them. Is their way of taking people’s money by selling broken stuff. You will be better off buying Ring camera.

I ordered 3 cameras on March 1st. They were quick to take the money from my checking account. So far I have not received the order..it is now April 17th. When I try to contact them, there is a "suspicious activity" warning that pops up. Guess I'm just out $105. I should have realized they were scamming me when they used a comma in place of decimal point for the amount owed . I may report them to Better Business Bureau.

The advertisement on YouTube is misogynistic saying how "you can be a housewife, with no electrical experience."This would put me off buying this in the first place.

Absolute garbage! I ordered four cameras that were all either dysfunctional or physically fell apart after 3 days of use.
I contacted them about returning the items and was subjected to their ridiculous return policy designed to make it impossible to anyone to obtain a refund without incurring elevated shipping charges to China.

If there was a zero I would give it a zero. Poor Customer service. They take too long to email you back. Their website don't allow you to get to the right department. Website keeps circle jerking you. Check your credit card. They charge you an extra $3.94 for no reason and you cannot get your money back because their website don't have an option to reach customer service. And, I finally got an email response to return them and the email stated I have to pay for shipping to return them. Yea all the way back to china lmaooooo. YES. Email gave me a china return address. It will cost me 40 bucks to send them back.Then they stated in the email to ship it with tracking because flat out they stated they may not receive it if I don't use tracking. Are you kidding me? A JOKE

AND MAIN COMPLAINT IS YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD THEIR APP AND HOOK IT UP THAT WAY. BUT THEY DON'T TELL YOU THEIR WEBSITE IS > NOT SECURE. IT CLEARLY STATES THAT THE WEBSITE IS "NOT SECURE". NO WONDER WHY THERE ARE SO MANY REVIEWS AND COMPLAINTS THAT THERE ARE SO MANY BURGLARIES AND BREAK-INS.

Total scam, I wish I would have seen these reviews before. I would love to sue this company for ripping people off. Disgusted.

I purchased 2 optiguard cameras. I found out that it was changed to 3!! And a warranty fee was added. I have no proof of that since my receipt states the same. So when they arrived I tried to install one. It took several attempts with various error messages, but finally got it to work.
I then tried to install the second one. Worked on it for over an hour. Resetting, re scaning, etc. It would say it was connected, but then give another error. I finally gave up and decided to return the whole lot. Who knew you have to have THEM decide if you may return or not, even though it clearly states 30 day money back guarantee!! Also, beware, there is no contact email or phone number to speak with a real person!
So, I am saying FORGET IT! Spend a little extra and get something you can actually use.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.I purchased 3. Only one worked out of the box and it . disconnected from the internet every 12 hours Put it down to experience.

First off the daytime video is overly red with no green. The device was never triggered by me leaving/entering my house or by the mail carrier. You can get human detection, but you need to subscribe to their cloud service. They definitely want you to pay for the cloud service. The security camera took a lot of videos but they were predominantly false alarms with no animals or humans in them. It is useless for outdoor security (without the cloud). I got a cheaper camera with human detection (not requiring cloud service), better video quality and more features.
Customer service takes a while to respond. They asked if I wanted a replacement camera and I declined and asked for a refund (which I got).

Is there a way to sue this company for false advertising. I would be willing to get a petition going to do a multiple people sue going.

Biggest scam load of CHINESE crap on the market.
have to rest the crap 100 times over and re-install.
