Booking confirmed but not honoured – very poor support
I booked a 3-night stay for my sister through Otelz and received a confirmation email stating that the reservation was successfully booked. However, no payment was taken from my bank account, which already raised some concern.
To clarify, I contacted Otelz customer service, but the support was very poor. Instead of resolving the issue, they told me to contact the hotel directly, which defeats the purpose of using a booking platform. I emailed the hotel twice and received no response.
When my sister arrived at the hotel, she was told that no booking existed under her name. Even worse, the hotel quoted a price of 7500 Turkish Lira instead of the original confirmed price of 5092.
This was a very stressful and disappointing experience. A booking platform should ensure confirmed reservations are honoured and should take responsibility for resolving issues, rather than redirecting customers elsewhere.
I would not rely on this service again.
Stay Away from Orkun Tekin
I would strongly advise against booking a hotel through this website. The operator, Orkun Tekin, has a history of failed ventures and serious disputes with former partners. Despite the business no longer operating officially, payments are still being accepted.
Still waiting for refund
UPDATE: they made it worse by after 1 month reimbursing me, and then Cancelling the Paypal reimbursement. Basically I recieved the money for 2 hours before it was annulled by them. It has taken me so much free time contacting them
Booked 4 nights in Istanbul and paid in full. Had to cancel, and according to their own policy should only pay 25% cancellation fee. Never received my refund.
Tried contacting them multiple times via email and phone - no response. Phone number is Turkish (expensive to call from most of Europe) and goes unanswered. Emails ignored completely.
Avoid this booking site. Use established platforms
instead where you have actual customer protection.
Otelz dont pay hotels payment
I booked Hotel Kaya Akyaka through Otelz on July 10, 2025, for August 9–11, 2025. When we arrived, the hotel informed us that Otelz had not paid them, and as a result, they refused to provide a room.
This is completely unacceptable. A confirmed booking should guarantee a stay, not leave customers stranded because Otelz fails to fulfil its responsibilities. Holidays are meant to be stress-free, yet Otelz caused unnecessary frustration and ruined what should have been a smooth experience.
Otelz must take responsibility, ensure timely payments to hotels, and stop putting customers in such situations. This experience was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.

I wouldn’t give them a star. Anyways, i made a reservation with orelz.com for a 3 night stay in Alacati, Turkey. Got the confirmation, they took the money from my bank account, and two days before our trip the hotel cancelled the reservation because they did not get the money from otelz.com, saying that they don’t work with them anymore. It’s been 6 days since we got here, we had no hotel, we moved three times due to availability of other hotels… and the money is still on the way, due to our bank policy… 😡😡😡 What can i say???? You idiots ruined our vacation!!! 🤮🤮🤮

I have never seen this before I have been traveling over 20 years. Otelz on the day just before I arrive to hotel wants to cancel the trip. Which I already paid for and telling me that we can refund your money. Ohhh really thank you for wasting my vacation time in the last minute.
Otelz dont even deserve a star lol. You cannot play with people joyfull vacation and turn it into nightmares. Lots of people go on vacation once or twice a year that means you are ruining their whole year. Otelz never again and I would never recommend it to anyone...

Scam
I recently booked a room through Otelz.com, but shortly after, I was informed that my reservation had to be canceled due to a “data entry error.” While I was assured that I would receive a refund, it has been [insert number of days] days, and no refund has been processed.
I have contacted customer support multiple times, but I’ve yet to receive a clear resolution. This experience has left me frustrated and questioning the reliability of the platform.
If Otelz is unable to honor bookings, the least they can do is refund customers promptly when the issue is on their end. I expect my refund to be processed immediately and will escalate this further if necessary.
I hope Otelz improves its processes to ensure better customer service in the future.

I have recording of staff of otel i am gonna post it now here please don’t nook any trip with them they are very rude and useless don’t know how to deal with the issue and problem and address the problem. Beware! I lost my money!

I am now contacting an 'alacak tahsilat bürosu' for further procedures. If my money ever returns, I will give you an update info. Until then, I will not.

Hotelz is disappointment
Well, Hotelz left our family on the street, although everything was paid for in advance, I spoke to them on the phone in Turkish, there were no other options, my Turkish is at a native level but I could hardly understand what they were saying, as well as the Turk at the hotel reception, apparently some illegal immigrants operate this site. Hotelz turned out to be a very shady company, they promised to reimburse the costs within 7-14 business days. I am waiting impatiently for the problem to be resolved.
Update: They reimbursed all my expenses.

I have booked hotel with free airport transfer. I Spend about one hours to book the transport but no one showed up. They have told me that I could book a transfer in the way back instead. I spent about couple if hours calling both Turkish and In office but they just get the information and nothing happened.
Avoid at All Costs: Misleading Ads and No Accountability
Extremely shady dealings. They advertise rundown properties and fail to deliver on refund promises. Avoid them at all costs and go with a reputable organization that actually cares about their customers.

I booked a hotel in Marmaris The Yuvam Hotel but after I paid it I was told that the hotel is just for Turkish Citizens. The customer service was horrible and the only thing that they provided is a refund and I will wait 7 to 14 days to get my money. So now I can not book another hotel because I paid £1400 which I will wait for 14 days. Don't use Otelz.com.

OTELZ is the worst customer service their hotel Reception staff don’t speak English but, on the website, they print hotel staff speak English.
